Chicken tenders with biscuit and mashed potatoes and gravy
    Aileen B.

To any Yankees like me that are visiting the South, this restaurant chain may be unfamiliar. But I'm here to tell ya that when you are hungry for delicious biscuits and chicken- you should head over to Bojangles!! They have lots of biscuit breakfast sandwiches like; Steak biscuits, or spicy chicken biscuits, or sausage, egg and cheese biscuits ... you get the drift They have meals also, like; chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy and offer different sides like macaroni and cheese or rice. Every time we go down south we always try to stop at Bojangles. It's different from what we have up home and we like trying new and different places. Here in Covington Georgia we stopped by this very clean Bojangles restaurant and again we enjoyed the food. Service was fast And polite. When we in the area we will definitely come back.

Listen! Moving to Texas almost two years ago, I had no idea how much I'd miss about Georgia. I went home for a brief visit and my first stop in my hometown, Augusta, GA was Bojangles (this is not that location but I'll get to that later) to get a wing dinner. It did not disappoint. And that friggin biscuit. It felt good to be home. So without any deep thought I knew on my drive back to Texas, there was no way I was leaving Georgia without my favorite Bojangles breakfast order (it explains this location) of a Sausage, egg and cheese biscuit with no rounds. I'm only one person with one mouth but I swear I almost ordered sausage gravy biscuits to go too and put them in my cooler in the trunk (full of other things I can't get in Texas like baby Turkey Wings and good red velvet cake) but I digress. Anyway, the biscuit nor the bo rounds disappointed me. The buttery softness of that biscuit and perfectly cooked sausage & egg, it makes me mad that I can't get one in the morning. The service was quick and without error. Employees were super polite. No ambiance to rate because I hit the drive thru because I had too many miles to cover. From the outside though, the ambiance was a well lit Bojangles. Even though Bojangles is making its way to Texas, those of us familiar with the menu are disappointed. We were hopeful for pieces of fried chicken and not just strips. Oh, yeah, what the hell happened to the sweet potato turnover???

It's not only bad, but the rest of the Breakfast menu is guilty by association.

Cheese has mold on it. This has to be the worst bojangles. The lady at the window has the worst attitude and is always so rude.

Stupid incompetent and slow. Took almost 20 minutes to get a 3 item order. Manager obviously doesn't give a crap.

Our waitress was lovely, I had heard about the souvenir glasses you could buy so I got a shot glass with the Damon pancake shot and the vampire Barbie drink. They had a few options for the big souvenir glass - I chose the "it's okay to love them both, I did" Katherine glass. For the meal we tried the fried chicken sandwich and the sweet tea fried chicken. Everything was so good, my favorite meal in Covington! I wish we had room for dessert because everything sounded good. We checked out upstairs and saw the hallway with all the signed menus- so cool!! We sat on the roof which was nice and quiet. The service was quick and the waitress was super nice. The first time the food came out it was cold, but she was super quick to get it warm for us. We got the blackened shrimp Alfredo and it was pretty flavorful, I would totally get again! The fries were also delicious. We did get two drinks and they were just alright. Would not recommend their cocktails. Overall Mystic Grill holds a special place in our hearts and we love visiting during the holidays!

I started with the goat cheese pesto bruschetta for appetizers. The flavors paired well together and it was a decent size. For lunch, my friend and I shared the taco platter, which comes with 9 tacos, chips, salsa, and queso for $35. It's a great price and it was more food than we could finish. The fried shrimp tacos were the best. Shoutout to our waitress for that suggestion! They were crispy, large shrimp pieces, and flavored nicely. We also got the fried fish tacos and the ribeye tacos which were very underwhelming. Unfortunately, the entire taco platter was extremely salty. Even though we drank water throughout, we both left feeling super parched due to how salty it was. This place has potential but I'm not sure I would come back. It might be a good spot to grab a drink and hang out, but I wouldn't come here to eat. Honestly the amazing service is really what stood out and was the saving grace!

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.
