    Honey Gold Wings
    Chevon B.

Based on all the good reviews I was hyped up to try this place's wings but I'm very disappointed. I ordered both the lemon pepper and honey gold flavors and couldn't wait to get home to try them. My best friend/roommate and I both had some and were both unhappy after having done so. The honey gold sauce was good but that's about all I can say positive about the chicken. The lemon pepper was ordered wet but was dry and the wet part tasted like the scrapings from fried chicken oil. Now my biggest gripe was the good 30 min it took after being told 25min then being told my food was done 5 min ahead of time. Secondly the wings were fried so hard that they weren't really enjoyable. We had leftovers and instead of saving it tossed the rest away. I didn't request wings well done so I'm not sure why they were. Now I see why it took so long honestly. This place has such a strong customer base for a takeout only shack I just knew I was in for a treat. I'm glad I satisfied my curiosity and although their customer service wasn't bad I wouldn't go again. Good wings don't take that long to cook, are crispy outside yet tender inside, this wasn't that. I can make better wings in my sleep.

Rudyboo's is like that old friend who lives around the corner, but you never seem to visit them that often. Excellent wings, reasonable prices ... generally a "go to" kind of place. Still, there are so many new wings yet to be discovered.

Wings were very good, spiced and wet to please, and the pickle made the whole meal peak.

I love their Honey Gold wings. They have just enough hot and sweet taste. I always order one extra sauce to dip my French fries.

Best wings in town! Quick turnaround after order. Super nice people that have made a very reputable name in our city.

It's hard to mess up chicken wings, but many people do. Not this place. Best wings and sauces. They are friendly and have a great selection.

I speak from experience as the hanger steak my brother saw online and wanted (which made us pick this restaurant) was not available this particular evening. On to the better stuff: I really liked their welcoming vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Complimentary sourdough bread was immediately served as well as celebratory champagne for my little brother's birthday. We started with the hush puppies appetizer and the French onion dip, which came with a bag of Zappo's potato chips. For dinner, I ordered the four cheese pasta, which I was informed is made in-house and is leaving the menu very soon. My only complaint was the size of the wine pours. When I inquired, they stated the pour was 6 ounces. The kind surprise was a generous top off when they sensed my disappointment. Their kids' menu -which isn't printed - is a little limited. Kids can pick from grilled cheese, chicken skewers, and a hamburger. One kiddo had a hamburger and my son snacked on their shoestring fries. All other adults ordered burgers and everyone seemed to enjoy their dinner. One more complimentary surprise showed up near the end of dinner which was a miniature Keylime pie in celebration of my brother's bday. Back home, we have very few restaurants that offer so many complimentary items. That definitely sets this restaurant apart from others. Also, having a small menu means they likely give lots of attention to the entrees they serve. Definitely recommend City Pharmacy!

For drinks we ordered the cloud atlas (off menu) and a vodka gimlet, gimlet was good but a little off balance. Complimentary corn bread was pretty tiny and a bit dry. For entree we ordered the crab cakes and shrimp and grits, both very tasty and the stars of the night. Highly recommend. We still had some room for dessert so tried the chocolate molten lava cakes, mine not so lava like but still tasty!

This is actually our second time meeting our friend here. First, the service was great from the young woman who greeted us to our server, Reagan J. Reagan was personable, efficient and had a great sense of humor. Second, the bread was fresh tasting and so were the salads with ranch dressing. All three entrees looked great, but only one tasted as good as it looked. Our friends always orders the chopped steak topped with mushrooms and onions, along with a baked potato with toppings. He said it was good as always. I ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes and brown gravy on the side. The pork chops were juicy and had a good flavor, but they had some fat on the ends that should have been cut off. Also, the texture of the meat was off. The mashed potatoes tasted good, but they come with a large pool of melted butter on top. I love butter, but it was too much. I would not order this entree again. The other entree was a 20 oz Outlaw Ribeye with asparagus. It looked like it would be delicious, BUT, it was chewy, undercooked (ordered medium rare and it boarded on rare) and over-seasoned. The asparagus was just okay. My husband rarely leaves ribeye and asparagus on his plate, but this time he did not finish his meal. He would not order that again. The Trinity Oaks Pinot noir wine, seasonal Sam Adams and Michelob drafts were tasty. The ambiance is casual and the noise level is medium (not too loud). Based on this total experience, we will choose somewhere else to meet up with our friend the next time.
