I love Bojangles. I've been to them all over. This one is my favorite in the area, because the service in the drive thru is fast and accurate. They have never been out of any cut of chicken at any time I have come in, which is not true of other stores in this area. The dining room is glass on three sides, so it's bright at all times of day. Today there was a gang of teens who wanted to sit and share a large tailgate party together. They were very courteous (one of the guys held the door open for me as we entered together), and even though they were laughing and having a great time together, they never were over the top rowdy. It was like they were sitting around on their granny's front porch, pouring each other cups of lemonade and sharing dipping sauces. When they left, they took all their trash as well. The food I ordered was slightly wrong (breasts instead of thighs), but the person behind the counter fixed it without complaint and even threw in another piece. The porter keeps the room clean and the napkins and utensils in order. It's just a great place to sit and have a meal. And the food is hot and cooked perfectly - just like granny!! read more

This is the worst bojangles ever. I asked for my order to be a certain way on the microphone with a nice attitude I get to the window and my order is incorrect and I make them aware. They take food back although they are not suppose to do that. And then gave me my food back with no changes. I then asked for a refund and they refused to give me my money back and refused to let me speak to Ms. Silva mean ass! Once the finally fixed my order Ms. Silva who never spoke with me had a nasty attitude. How did she become a manager? She made me feel so low and bad about wanting my food a certain way! I ordered food from drive thru on 7/5/2025, received food with serving glove and plastic glove inside the Bojangles takeout box. Management stated the gloves were not their gloves. now who gloves are they? the location is on Hwy 55 in Durham NC. now i have to pray that the staff is clear of any infections or diseases. read more

Staff was very rude, smelled like pot, food was just bad. The place was dirty and looked outdated. Nothing more needs to be said.

It doesn't matter if I order delivery, go to the drive thru, or walk up to the counter, something in my order is wrong or missing. They never seasoning the fries or the chicken anymore. My wife and I keep seasoning in our cupboard and one in the car because it's so bland without it. I do love any piece of fried chicken and the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. For me, everything else is terrible. The rice is always dry, the fries aren't cooked enough or overcooked. No in between. The potatoes are powder which is fine but then don't have brown gravy. My wife is born and raised in NC and no one, NO ONE, uses sawmill gravy for potatoes down here. The service is always slow and if you're in the drive thru, best of luck, friend. You have to repeat your order at least twice and then be met with "HUH?!" Then they repeat the wrong order back to you. Lastly, one day in May 2023 we went to the drive thru after errands and with a long line, two employees walk out and announce they're closing...at 3pm...I actually wrote the corporate office because that's beyond egregious. The manager was so..very disrespectful saying you was suppose to come in, that's why he told you to come in. She went on to say, we don't replace no orders, I'm the manager in a nasty tone. I can't believe I'm a 35-year-old who hasn't been to Bojangles since high school! My husband and I found ourselves here, kind of out of desperation on thanksgiving day when we needed lunch and our family thanksgiving meal wasn't scheduled to begin until 5. I got the four piece chicken dinner which came in a cute box accompanied by a biscuit and those amazing seasoned fries. When I say that biscuit was the best one of my life I'm not exaggerating- better than any other restaurant I've ever been to, better than Pillsbury, and better than the abominations I attempt in my own kitchen. An insider told me the biscuits are the one thing they actually make on the premises and that's good to know and admirable. I also found the chicken and fries to be delicious. I asked my husband why we spend twice as much money going to places where the meal isn't half as satisfying. Bojangles, we will be back! read more

Apparently no one there understands there's a life-threatening virus hanging out in NC because when I went in to order no one was wearing a mask or gloves, people were literally pushing into me to advance in the line even though there was already a queue of folks already waiting for their food and then someone told everyone to get closer to help make the line not get too long by the door. The food here has almost always been cold and limp but I love Bojangles and it's less than five minutes from my work but screw them I am not going to deal with being herded together with other patrons (none of whom were wearing masks other than me). read more

I live in the North now and no where can compare to the sweet tea, warm biscuits, and fried chicken they offer at Bojangles. If you haven't given this place a try, you really are missing out. I always get the chicken supreme dinner, so I can get my 3 favorite things from the menu - chicken tenders, fries with extra cajun seasoning (ask for extra seasoning!), biscuits, and sweet tea. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the boberrry biscuit is incredible. The food itself deserves a perfect rating. Today was my last time going to this location. It is a shame as it's so close to my kids school Cresset Christian Academy. Also I will no longer order lunch for the dealerships on Saturday from this location. I refuse to pay my hard earned money to be treated so bad. They messed up my order ( which is fine we all make mistakes) but when you have to ask three times for it to get corrected and the lady gets mad at you that's not going to happen. She slammed the window after throwing the food at us. A co worker behind her ran to the window and apologized for her actions. In short you have lost a regular customer, a monthly business order, and maybe a few people who will read this review. I'm a Popeyes girl but I'm new in town so thought I'd try this place...first off the building is outdated ASF....not to mention how the food is kept and maintained to be served is outdated as well. The staff were really nice and we're doing a good job considering how busy they were. They did run out of wings and legs while I was there and tried to substitute breast and thighs but people weren't having it. When I got home to eat my food I noticed I was given incorrect chicken parts and the chicken itself was petrified!!' The batter is bland as hell btw. Another day, another Bojangles'! :D I'm ok with this visit & the location makes me even more happy - it's just a little ways off I-85. This particular visit was on a Saturday morning, a little after 11 AM. I arrived in the drive-thru with several cars in front of me. While it took a while to get to the speaker, as it seemed the other customers had pretty large orders. Once I got to the order speaker, the voice on the other end didn't seem to excited to be at work. I ordered a chicken supremes meal with sweet tea. Getting to the window didn't seem to take much time at all. Once there, another male employee didn't seem to be happy to be at work either, as he just took my debit card, gave me my food without speaking. I came to your establishment this morning around 9:30 and the person I placed my order with through the drive thru was rude and messed my order up and obviously they didn't get properly trained because customer service was non existent and the person at the window was rude as well just handed me my order and didn't greet me nor thank me for my purchase or ask if I needed any condiments. The first thing my family does when we hit NC is grab a biscuit at Bojangles. Is it the best in town? No, but there are locations all over the place and they have reasonable hours. I love the cajun chicken biscuits, they are nicely spiced and juicy. The biscuits tend to be on the dryer side, but let's be honest, they're better than any I have ever made! My mom likes the sausage biscuits, too. Whatever you order, the filling does not overwhelm the flavor of the biscuit, thank goodness. I seriously think I would trade Chick-fil-a for Bojangles and that says a lot. Still, I'm kind of glad I don't have a location near where I live because I would weigh 600 lbs and have "Mr. Bojangles" stuck in my head all the time. read more

This is the Bojangles that Toyotomi Shibayoshi goes to about Three to Five times a week. Sometimes it's very busy and turbulent with lots of Humans ordering chicken and the like...but sometimes it's tranquil like a calm pond with Koi swimming under the surface. The Shogun of Snaxx orders his usual... Four piece Supremes with picnic Bo-rounds and a Large Sweet Legendary Tea. Toyotomi Shibayoshi brings his retainer with him most of the time for a similar order as the Shogun. Bojangles is like a battlefield sometimes, you must spot a opening to get a table during the lunch rush.. act quickly and decisively to get that seat. Supremes always are hot and tasty , the use of Bojangles Honey Mustard is not necessarily needed but always welcome. The BBQ sauce is also a true champion of flavor that adds to the Experience. The Shogun will cut you where you stand if you put a finger on his delightful Bo-Rounds... They are like a finger pointing to the heavens... Don't follow the finger to closely or you will miss all the Heavenly glory of the whole meal. You will know why they call the Tea legendary... Excellent thirst quenching will be had. The Shogun is known for frequenting at the evening hours and sometimes is giving a extra Supreme on the plate for his continued visits to this locale. When I first moved to Chapel Hill, NC from New York; I absolutely hated living in the south. Eventually all the southern hospitality began to grow on me and now looking back on my time there I have nothing but fond memories. A lot of those involve this particular Bojangles located just off 15-501 on the way into Durham from Chapel Hill. My friends and I like to call this particular Bojangles the Renegade Boj's because it seems to always be behind the times as far as getting new items on the menu compared to some of the other franchise locations. This fact is not a bad thing... actually it turns out to be excellent. The management here sticks to the basics and gets it right - fried chicken, friend chicken tenders, fried country steaks, cajun seasoned french fries, and biscuits so buttery and delicious they not only melt in your mouth but practically through the paper they come wrapped in! They never bothered with salads until very recently - and honestly who would come here to eat a salad? Don't come looking for buffalo bites either - because they don't serve them. I'm pretty sure you should avoid them at other locations anyway. The Renegade Boj's was also one of the last to succumb to the BoBerry Biscuit revolution, as one of the last places you could find the far superior (imho) Cinnamon Biscuit. So if you're in the Chapel Hill/Durham area, take a drive down 15-501 and stop by to grab a sweet tea and make sure you toss some of their famous cajun seasoning on whatever you order - it is chained to the counter for a reason! Don't forget they serve breakfast too - sausage and egg on a biscuit with seasoned french fries and a hash brown washed down with an ice cold sweet tea is a great way to start your day! read more

You're gonna want to get a Cajun Fillet Biscuit, french fries and sweet tea. Our local Durham Bojangles' is always packed with UNC and Duke students, and for good reason: The biscuits are the best in the area. This Bojangles' is pretty consistent in terms of food quality. The biscuits are generally fluffy and buttery, the Cajun fillets spicy and lean and the fried chicken crispy. I'm a Bo Round fan myself, but I do enjoy their Cajun fries. Just don't get them to go, as they'll be soggy before you can make it up the hill on Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. The sweet tea is usually pretty good here, too. This Bojangles' has really improved in the last few years. No, it hasn't been remodeled to mimic the newer installations popping up around the country. But, the store now takes credit cards, and, if the mood is good, won't charge you for ketchup packets or soda refills. The Cajun salt is still chained to the counter, though. As a bonus, this is probably the only Bojangles' in America with a human drive-thru. That's right, on many a visit I've been greeted by actual humans taking my order in the drive-thru line. Come enjoy the chicken, especially on Sunday mornings, when you can get reacquainted with your bar buddies from the previous evening. read more

Amazing chicken. Simply amazing. I wish the West Coast had some. Definitely superior to Popeyes and KFC. Everything, from the chicken to the mashed potatoes to the biscuits, was excellent. Craving a Bojangles biscuit, I decided to give it another try-this time via the drive thru. Second experience was almost as bad. Some of the staff here are just borderline rude. Dine or Ditch? Dine...I knew a man Bojangles and he'd cook for you in worn out aprons (Don't tell Bob Dylan I used his music here) This is one of those TOTALLY biased reviews where emotional value definitely brings up the star rating, but it's my account and I'll let some bias in from time to time. Well... backstory, guy meets girl, guy likes girl, girl talks about Bojangles for like a month before guy finally gets a chance to visit, and girl takes guy to Bojangles. For a month all I heard was about their biscuits and I have to admit they are actually really good. In my mind top two along with Red Lobster. They are different and it's hard to pick a favorite, but Bo really makes a good push for the top spot. As for the rest of the food, it's good for what it is... fast food. They were good chicken fingers with well made french fries and a bit of cajun seasoning. I'm not one to stop for fast food very often, but if I was hungry and I saw a Bojangles I would make a quick pop-in. The price point was pretty spot on (we got 2 meals for like $10, which is fair for fast food in my mind). And the place seemed pretty clean. The woman took our trays which was nice as well. Sat in the drive-thru for a 30 minute wait. I can't remember ever having to wait that long at Bojangles. Don't know what was going on tonight because the line wasn't long. It was as if they were making every order fresh. But they weren't as I discovered as soon as I arrived home. Here are my observations: 1. Food wasn't hot or lukewarm, gravy on my mashed potatoes was cold. 2. There were beans and chicken crumbs in my mashed potatoes. 3. My chicken was overcooked (really dark brown, almost burned). 4. I was charged for extra sauces that I didn't ask for, and didn't get. I have contacted the store and they haven't contacted me, but beware and check your receipt before you leave. Its always Bo Time when driving by Bojangles'. If you are not from the South, then you may not have heard of this place. It serves real good fried chicken fast. They also have maybe some of the best biscuits in the Nation. Light, fluffy, buttery goodness that is hard to past up. Nothing here is healthy food and much of it has too much salt. I can't help but give Bojangles 5 stars. Although I may like the seasoning on Popeye's chicken more, Bojangles is an essential part of the Carolina experience. Being a little out of place in the south while at college it took me a bit to catch on to the importance of Bojangles but I sure understand now.
