Upon telling my North Carolina hosts that I never tried Bojangles -- indeed, I had previously only associated the name with the classic Nitty Gritty Dirt Band opus -- they immediately insisted that I would be nourished not once, but twice over the course of the weekend until I shared in what is apparently a cherished Southern tradition. The first sandwich -- a cajun chicken biscuit, I believe -- was presented to me in bed as I recovered from a particularly perplexing hangover that had left me both nauseated and famished at the same time. What nourishment could possibly mend my troubled stomach? The sandwich, loosely wrapped in waxy fast food paper semi-translucent from the ample application of bucolic southern grease suffused throughout it, fell into my shaking hands with a soft thud. It's deceptively small for its weight; in McDonalds terms, the sandwich is about the size of a single cheeseburger, yet it would surely equal close to two Big Macs on any standard scale. Tossed into the vacuum of space, all other fast food offerings would quickly fall into its orbit. "I eat in bed?" I ask my host, brushing aside the blanket as I unfold the weighty offering. "OK," she says, with an empathetic grin. I take my first bite, gently at first, a nibble. In another show of masterful culinary engineering, the rich, buttery biscuit crumbles gently into my mouth, while the bulk of it remains intact to protect the remainder of my sandwich. The chicken is no slouch either, matching the biscuit in terms of denseness without sacrificing moistness, flavor or tenderness, and coated with a decadent, piquant cajun sauce to lubricate its almost salacious entry into my mouth. My saliva expands the infinitesimal bite into a veritable smorgasbord inside my mouth. Willy Wonka once tried to compress an entire meal into a stick of chewing gum, and while Bojangles has not matched this feat, the Cajun Chicken Biscuit is the closest we've come to it in modern times. Immediately, the roiling in my stomach ceases as the churning cauldron of acids and poisons within my stomach pounce upon the dense new addition and are at once neutralized. Each bite I take is larger and larger, as color returns to my face and I regain the ability to speak in full sentences. I look up and notice my caring hostess, still watching over me as I am slowly filled with the indomitable vitality of Bojangles, and thus of the South itself. "Good?" she asks. "Yes," I sputter, spurting out a small burst of biscuit flakes unlucky enough to have missed the warm confines of my stomach. I look up at her meaningfully. "Yes," I reiterate with unwavering surety. The next morning, a similar display occurs, only I am told I must come downstairs this time. A new offering awaits -- Sausage, egg and cheese, served upon a biscuit I have only known for less than a day, yet already feel a deep, spiritual connection to. The Odyssean voyage, first out of the warm confines of my bed to a cold, uncaring floor, then through a seemingly endless hallway and down not one, but two sets of stairs into an unnaturally bright living room was the stuff of legend, but it was the payoff of the Bojanges sausage biscuit that was truly legendary. Wow chicken was so moist with a really good flavor. Loved the biscuits and the cole slaw was addicting. First time here and will be going back several times before I leave this area. Did not care for the gravy so will not order that again. Went to a very over price chicken and waffle place in Raleigh and believe it or not, Bojangles chicken is wayyyyy better for sure. People that work there were super nice and very helpful to me. Prices are awesome. All day breakfast available also. Highly recommend this place for a quick fried chicken fix. read more

Just like any other Bojangles in the morning, this one can have a line in the drive-thru. Sometimes they have employees outside taking orders, which is a plus because it helps the line go down faster. I usually stop by here if I have a meeting on Page Rd in the morning (which isn't often). I've always had good service, food has always been hot and sweet tea has always been good. I've also been here for lunch/dinner a few times as well. I usually get the wing special, three wing dinner or the supreme dinner. They are all always great. No complaints. read more

I think the restaurant is stuck in the 80's. Bad customer service. I said can I have some strawberry jelly , replied we don't have strawberry. Well do you have grape ? Yes, can I have 2 please. No plastic knives , sports only. This is not a high crime area. But a few of the employees seem to be time cops as they are really slow. read more

Bojangles is Bojangles but I wanted to write a review on how I love this chain restaurant (not too big on chains). This one is very good and service is great. Love going to nice places to eat but I am sorry, a 3 piece all white, a bo berry biscuit and a glass of their sweet tea which is really a glass of diabetes for 9 bucks is really hard to beat. When the lady asked me if I wanted extra icing on my bo berry biscuit I thought she was teasing me. Of course I want extra icing!!!! I would put Bojangles chicken up against any chicken anywhere and I have traveled around. Their bacon/sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, cajun chicken biscuit are fantastic as well. Upset there are none around me in Tampa so when I am in NC/SC/GA, I load up. read more

Out of honey mustard mid-day. Be careful going to this location. If they don't ask the standard question, "What type of sauce would you like" while you are placing your order, they probably don't have it in stock and will not inform you or make accommodations when you realize it's not in your box. Went through the drive thru a few nights ago on my way back to Raleigh from Durham. There were four cars ahead of me, which I figured wasn't too bad. After ordering, I pulled up and waited for the line to move. Assumed one customer had a large order that was really holding things up. Well, one person went, then the next. Same deal. Spent over 25 minutes waiting for four cars ahead of me in drive thru. I figured I'd let it go if the food was hot. Well, it was not. Not even close to warm. And when I bit in to one of the fries, I got a mouth full of oil- there was a pocket in the fry that had held a good amount of the cooking oil, and I ended up with a mouthful of it. All the fries were this oily- their frier temp had to have been off. Needless to say, I will never be back- I should have gone down 70 a bit further to the other Bojangles. read more

One of the best Bojangles! Very clean and the staff is super friendly. They all actually seem happy to be working here. Makes for a pleasant experience. Service was quick and food was fresh. Go out of your way to eat at this one. read more

Southern Fried Chicken and sweet tea is always the best

I'm from TX and we don't have Bo's down there so i decided to try it tonight. The service was good my food was ready fast at the drive through. The crust was soggy on the leg but the thighs were crispy. The chicken was not spicy but it had good flavor and the fries were good also. I liked the biscuit, it wasn't too dry but the cajun gravy was basically just white gravy with breakfast sausage mixed in. Overall it was good for fast food but not something I would go out of my way for again. Popeye's definitely has them beat, especially their cajun gravy! Oh and it wasn't greasy so that was a plus. read more

Well if you are in the south and you haven't tried...you have to get one of the breakfast biscuits. It has to be on everyone's bucket list of artery clogging food. Just once...the place is a typical fast food joint with a funny name. The biscuits are def a notch below Bob Evans but a notch above KFC or Popeye's. The egg biscuit is the best for me. I don't live in NC any more. When asked what I thought about NC.. The only thing I really get excited about is BoJangles. I didn't have a preference on any specific one. but this one I went to alot as it was close to work. Loved the fried chicken, sandwidches. I must say I miss the chicken. KFC is a poor excuse, Popeys and churches almost get there but BoJo's got the secret on how to keep the juices in the chicken. gotta miss the bite which leads to dripping chicken grease =) read more

Living in Texas and having tried Bojangles only once before while traveling in the area, I have to say this is by far the best fried chicken anywhere. The side items and great and the ice tea make this a must try if you want great chicken. read more

Great meal! I'm glad I tried it the baby loved the dirty rice, mash potato were my favorite and my sweetheart loved his sweet potato pie.

By far the worst Bojangles store in the Triangle. I've made the mistake of stopping here twice in the past year and both experiences were truly horrible. The first time I stopped was for breakfast. The biscuits were cold and hard, as if they had been sitting far too long and should have been thrown out. The sausage however, was under cooked and still cold in the middle. Obviously someone was in a hurry to get it off the grill. My second visit was even worse. I stopped after work, around 730pm to get some chicken. Immediately after ordering I was told there would be a 12 minute wait for my food and I should pull into a spot and they would bring it out to me. A wait for chicken, at a chicken place? Odd, but I thought it might be nice to have freshly cooked chicken so I opted to wait. Thirty five minutes later I had to walk inside to ask them where my food was. I was then told they had "forgotten about me" and was offered chicken from under the heat lamps. I could barley stop laughing long enough to tell them I wanted my money back and wouldn't return. Needless to say I cant steer you far enough away from this location, nor can I more strongly recommend that district change the management and crew immediately. read more

The food is great. They do have some issues getting your order right. The sweet tea is awesome.

This particular location has a hard time getting orders correct when the regular morning folks are not at the window. I go there a lot and I made the mistake of complaining about a botched order. First time I refused free replacement. Very next day, my order was messed up again so I stopped by as the Manager directed and really had an unpleasant experience at the window. They still could not fill my order as requested. All I wanted free was the item that was messed up. Ended up with free meal but not how I ordered it. The staff is friendly but I just want my meals and drinks the way I order and pay. Not a hard concept. I guess I pick another breakfast place or different location. I just purchased breakfast and it was awful. The food is lukewarm if I can even call it that. I have been to this particular restaurant in several Mornings and the food is not hot/fresh. The Bojangles on the other end of Miami blvd near 70 is so much better. I was going to this one for convenience but I think from now on I will no longer eat from the Bojangles by slater road in Durham. My breakfast looks old and looks as if it has been sitting.
