Flaky biscuits, hot and scrumptious chicken. Since I'm from California, I have to get used to southern style tea ( a bit sweet)but my family enjoys it. I experienced perfect customer service ( Mgr Dolores) from this I 'd raved about this establishment so much that family member is rethinking their loyalty to Popeyes, especially after eating their chicken. Had the chicken salad sandwich on sunflower bread and it was DELICIOUS!! I was torn between the black bean and chicken pea medley or the black olive and sun dried tomato pasta salad. I went with the pasta salad and it was yummy!! As a last minute decision I got a slice of the vegan caramel cake. No regrets there!! It was awesome!! The people there are always so nice and helpful. I love this place. Usually go there every 2 weeks...when my library materials are due... My husband loves the herb chicken salad. I love about everything I try. Such a varied, healthy menu. And so creative. I'm not a vegan, but I do think it's great they have vegan items. And the staff is awesome. So pleasant and courteous. I think it's neat they offer classes and events. The only suggestion I could make is maybe turning the music down a little. When I go to lunch with friends, we like to talk, and the music is a little loud for that. To the man who went just as they were closing, GO BACK! You will NOT be disappointed. read more

I wish McDonough had more non-chain restaurants and BoJaynes is a great example of the superiority that owner operated restaurants bring to a community. Staff was awesome, and took time to help me as a first timer with the vast menu. The first thing that I loved was the cafe vibe, comforting music, and welcoming decor. Then there's the smells of freshly made breads, pastas, and seasonings filling the air. I was excited for the meal to come. I had the Tribeca sandwich and it was delish! I can't wait to go back to try some of the pastas and salads. Bonus... they have fresh Kombucha tea and some other organic drinks. Thank goodness I found a better alternative to Panera Bread when I'm in the mood for a salad or sandwich. read more

I really want to like this place! I had the protein veggie wrap. The vinegar based dressing (taste like vinegar--not sure) was extremely over powering I couldn't finish it. It probably would have been great if it had less dressing. Maybe I'll try something else next time. read more

We were a big group, and looking for a nice spot for some lunch. 3 stars is NOT based on the food, which was absolutely delicious, and served relatively promptly (we were 7 people, I didnt expect the 2 girls behind the counter to fulfill all our orders in a crazy short amount of time.) The mr. Boats roast beef was incredibly delicious, and filling. (Im a big guy, and wish I had known how big it was going to be, because I would have split it.) The salads all looked amazing, and fresh. The reason for knocking off 2 stars? Well, amongst this small deli were plenty of grocery items, and juices for purchase. After lunch, a few of us picked up a handful of the open one off twizzlers in a container, that didnt have a price. Biting into one took as much effort as a jaw breaker, and it wasnt until 2 or 3 of us were chuckling about the candy that was obviously stale, one of the young women mentioned they were not after eats freebies, and proceeded to charge us for the 7 candies. Now, Im not one to scoff at paying a fair price for a treat, however, we explained to the young woman the twizzlers were stale, she countered they were not, and told us they would come out to a little over 2 bucks (2.23). After scrounging for change we came up with 2 single bills, and we asked the woman if she would let us slide for 23 cents so we wouldnt have to walk around with even more change (given the close to 100 we just dropped for lunch including an 18% tip.) To which she responded with "youre ruining the vibe here..." for that, im knocking off 2 stars. Service needs to be a little more understanding of large parties. read more

I went to Bojaynes located in McDonough on Hwy 81 Keys Ferry today and my first and last encounter with this business was horrible. When I called this morning to check for the soup of the day the young lady on the phone said her mom hadn't made it in yet to make the soup, but she thinks it was going to be tomatoes and basil. The call ended there. I was asked by a colleague to call and place our order for pickup so I called back about 12:15 pm. I asked the young lady had they decided on the soup yet and she said they decided not to serve soup today, so I ordered a sandwich and chicken Caesar salad. Then I was told they didn't have any grilled chicken. Jokingly I said to her darn you ruined my lunch and then I proceeded with the orders. Not having any foolishness on my mind, what happened afterwards was shocking and pure foolishness. I went to pick up the lunch. Once inside, I was a little overwhelmed by the set up with all the racks of food items in the center of the floor so I stood there for a few minutes looking around to determine which way to go. From the distance I saw a woman behind a counter and figured I'd start there. When asked if she could help me, I said yes I'm here to pick up a called in order. She responded by telling me I had to wait because she was assisting another customer in a not so friendly tone. She didn't have a pleasant demeanor but I just ignored it and stood there. She then told me I could wait at the register. When I asked where was the register, she replied in a sarcastic tone, over there where it says pay here. Still not making the connection that the hostility or attitude was directed at me, I just proceeded to the register to wait for the food. Once she approached the register, I leaned in inconspicuously and whispered "sweetheart, the appropriate response would have been, over to your left or right. The way you said that came across as if I was stupid or something. This is my first time here. I'm not familiar with your store". She immediately got defensive, started raising her voice and said that's not what she meant. Still whispering and trying not to call attention to us, I explained to her that I didn't say that's what she meant. I was just letting her know that's how it was perceived and it was my first time there, so I didn't know the direction to the register. In the interim, another woman walked up and interrupted us loudly, telling me they weren't' going to serve me and asked me to leave because they were trying to maintain a certain vibe there. Then the young woman told the lady that I was the one on the phone who said she ruined my lunch. That's when I realized that the young lady provoked the unpleasant verbal exchange. I asked the woman if she was the manager. She replied that she was the owner. Still not raising my voice, I told her I wasn't trying to cause a scene and asked if she wanted to hear my position as a customer. She said no, told me they were not going to serve me, refused to give me the order and asked me to leave. I don't try to reason with foolish people, so I turned away and left as she yelled out to me, God bless. Thinking to myself, she could have kept that because there was nothing Godly or professional about how she conducts business or handled that situation. People need to stop using Gods name in vain. Being Godly is not what comes out of your mouth but it's also the actions you show. How ridiculous is it that the young lady was so in her emotions that she stirred up all that confusion for no reason? What's more ridiculous is that the owner didn't have any better business acumen that she compromised her professionalism over nothing. It should have been apparent to the girl that I didn't have an issue with the establishment because I still ordered our food. I don't usually write about encounters with rude unprofessional business people or workers, but I am so sick and tired of our own people treating us different than they treat others when providing service. They complain all the time about how disrespectful other races of people treat us, yet we treat our own with such disdain and disrespect. I watch this happen all the time, in grocery stores and other businesses. When our people serve others they greet them with a smile so wide that you can see all of their tonsils, but when thy serve us it's with every bit of anger, hate, and nastiness like that other races treat them. When my co-worker called to address them about not sending her lunch, the person answering the phone blatantly lied and told her I was asked to leave because I tore up the place. Came in today on our way through the state after reading other great reviews. I was so excited when I saw I had come in on vegan Wednesday!! The vegan Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had and the vegan plate altogether was delicious. Fresh food and amazing flavors.
