I give this salon a ZERO! I drove from Amelia Island all the way to this salon for a consultation. (44 min) drive. Instead of asking me what I wanted, she interrupted me and was very rude about my suggestions, but ok. Artists are sometimes that way. I went home that night and put together a great hair plan to bring to my appointment on Saturday morning. My appointment was at 11 and I was there 20 min late due to traffic and I got lost listening to the GPS. When I walked in with a smile and apologized to her and told her why i was a few min late, her sour face, cold hearted personality Said "this is unacceptable and you need to find someone elSe to do your hair! What? I was shocked that some body had enough nerve to speak to a paying client whose husband is a lawyer. Then she. Walked me out of the salon and told me she was keeping my $300 for being so late. I left a deposit to keep my Appointment and In case i didn't show up at all. But that was not the case. I'm a very kind hearted person and got upset because of the profanity and just plain mean attitude. and told me to grow up and be an adult. I went into the salon and got my extensions and told her I needed my money. She said I'll keep $125 for my troubles? What ? You cancelled the appointment not me! I'm standing in the salon. Then she said she would give me the $300 but she didn't have it. So now I have to drive all the way back to get $300 of my money that she did nothing for on Tuesday. The other stylists did nothing to help and I would never ever go in there to be. We ally a used by them ever again! I WILL be there at 11am Tuesday and if Rachel doesn't have my money, I'm calling law enforcement. Wow, all this just because I wanted a good stylist. IDK for sure, it it looks to me she does this just to steal money and then make up excuses not to do the work. I came to Rachel in January because a previous hair stylist had taken my all one length bob and turned it into a horror of layers and uneven pieces. Rachel had taken the time to give me a consult about possibly doing some extensions. I was so hesitant to spend money on something that I could potentially hate. So I waited and let Rachel re cut my hair to give it a chance to grow some before starting extension. MY HAIR CUT LASTED TWO AND A HALF MONTHS!!! I could have easily gone another month and my hair would have looked good still. I went back yesterday and watched Rachel do some Fusion hair Extensions on a client, it had me HOOKED. She placed some fusion extensions last minute in my appointment and they were AMAZING. I'm already dying for more. I've gone to Rachel two times now and each time I leave feeling AMAZING. I have wanted a deep auburn color for some years now, but wasn't sure I could trust just any stylist considering I have more ethnic hair. After the first session I was concerned my hair would turn orange when fading, but it ended up a light rose gold sort of color that I LOVED. This past appointment she really toned and highlighted with an amazing red and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I also suffer from dandruff from time to time because of how often I heat treat my hair. She recommended a product that is supposed to get rid of the problem as opposed to masking it. As soon as she put it on my scalp I felt a relief that I have not felt from any other product. I have gone thru several stylists/colorists over the last few years and have been left with severely damaged, brittle hair. I SEARCHED for someone I could trust to put in extensions. I wanted someone with EXPERIENCE and who works with extensions every day. My search led to Rachel-- and I am so happy it did. I LOVE MY HAIR. First, the extensions look and feel so real. I have the hair I had before kids again lol. She also very patiently went over all my options (different kinds of extensions, maintenance, etc.) until I was comfortable. Did I mention I LOVE MY HAIR!?!? I haven't said that in years. Rachel is fantastic when it comes to hair! Especially extensions. I did a ton of research on hair extensions because I has major breakage and wanted to fill my hair in while it grew back and she did the job perfectly. She offers a variety of extension methods ( my favorite being "hand tied") but it gives the customer options for their hair and budget. She also educated me on what would work best with my hair and my breakage situation that other stylists have looks over in the past. Rachel is THE best. There is not a single other person else who I will go to in Jacksonville. She takes the time to really understand and care about what you want. I get compliments and comments every time I leave her salon. She is great at going outside of the box and doing what you want instead of what is always mainstream. I have been seeing Rachel for five years now for my hair needs. She is a great hair stylist because she listens to how I would like to color/ cut style my hair. She has been doing my bonded extensions for 3 years and the results are always amazing. I have been having my hair colored for 30 yrs and have always had problems with itching and scalp irritation after coloring.. I shopped different stylists to find someone who could help to keep my hair color , and find a product that did not cause these problems. Rachel is an amazing hair artist. I have always wanted long hair and I could never grow it to the length I wanted. I came to her after having tape in hair extensions that I was not happy with.
