I'm giving it 5 stars due to the flavors the shrimp burrito exhibited. I ordered it with guacamole and mild. The liquid flavors were different from the ones I'm used to back in the States. This place is a hidden gem for affordable eats that packs a punch. I've been here three times already, and tried the Buffalo chicken burrito (came back the third time just for this) and sweet Thai chicken burrito. The burrito comes in 2 sizes, but the medium is pretty filling. Be careful of the spice, even the medium spice packed a punch! I've also tried their ube white chocolate cookie, but it was ok- the ube flavor was very mild. Back in early 2019, I used to work in the area and would always go to Bolet's Burrito for lunch. Close to 5 years later, my new office is close enough that I can come back to this old favourite! I ordered ahead through Ritual and had the option to customize what ingredients I wanted in the bowl and the level of spice. Upon arrival, the staff chopped up my chicken and finished off the bowl that was partially assembled already. I liked how they did this as my food wasn't just sitting there getting cold or soggy. What I ordered: - Buffalo Chicken Burrito Bowl Final Thoughts: This bowl satisfies your burrito craving, but I think I remember it being better back in the day. The biggest thing I noticed was how little rice comes with the bowl now. I remember big bowls that I could barely finish whereas this time I had to dig under the ingredients to even find rice. That being said, it's still a decent portion and comes with a good amount of protein. THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM. Yup it deserves all the caps. I went there because it is very highly rated, and it was just so hidden in a corner that I thought I went the wrong way. I ordered the steak burrito and fish burrito bowl, and also got a honey mustard fried chicken wings 1st of all I love plants and who ever owns this place is a huge plant person, super cool deco Our food took a while but we were allowed to eat in, the wings was hands down the best wings I had in town and it's crunchy, juicy, delicious and flavorful, whatever u think a perfect fried wings should be The burrito is very greatly portioned and so worth it. We were so full and couldn't move at all after we finished those. 10/10 read more

RECONSIDER: Food can be stale. Unfortunately, the last time I was here was really bad. I travelled 1 hour to visit a small business, and they handed me a stale chicken burrito. The portion for a small pulled pork burrito bowl ($7.5 tax included) was very generous, especially with the meat. The meat was finely pulled and had the right amount of sauce. It's a bonus that you don't have to pay extra for guac! My colleague ordered the beer chipotle chicken bowl and was very satisfied with the order. The space is bigger than I expected! It's a decent burrito. The burrito was tasty enough and I'll probably order again. Not in any rush though as it's not something that blew my mind or something that has me craving it. The shrimp burrito was pretty good. But, it was missing things from the order... I didn't taste any spice even though I asked for extra spicy. Also, while there was some sour cream ... I asked for extra and there wasn't really enough. Also, there wasn't much guacamole in the thing for the $1.25 extra... which is annoying. It was also missing the drink. They did offer to make right on the drink though. Which was super cool of them. I didn't mention any issues I had with the food because I called about the drink before eating the burrito. And quantity / quality of ingredients and heat is subjective. I didn't feel like arguing. That being said all the other ingredients have a real fresh homemade feel to them which would make me want to try again. I really liked their churros too and have zero complaints about them. While I think I'd reorder the shrimp burrito (which I ordered this time), I think I'm over the ground beef. I find their ground beef is too oily. Just to the point where if you grab the burrito it's like leaking from the bottom. Not my thing. I also imagine if you order in person and can guide them vocally about how you want it made... you might have a better time. read more

Really one of the most disappointing burritos I've eaten in Toronto. I was so excited to try this after reading all the reviews and tasted a bland burrito. It was not only not seasoned but also lacked any real flavor. The hot sauce they gave us was the only saving grace and that too they gave so little of it. Excellent! That's how i would describe my first order, a Buffalo chicken burrito from Bolet's. My first reaction when opening the package was "wow this smells good!" The meal certainly delivered to that impression as the flavours were great. More importantly, the chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly. I am often hesitant to order chicken sandwiches as they can have a gross sloppy texture but that certainly wasnt the case here. Based on some pictures posted in other reviews here i was expecting more Buffalo sauce (which i like) but that's ok...hopefully i will be able to go in person soon and then i can make sure it is super saucy. In terms of heat level, i requested super spicy...again, it was not at "challenge sauce" level but it had some kick. Considering the base price is $9.00 and costs just $1 to upgrade to a large (which i did), it is great value for money. read more

Don't even waste your time or money. There are many different options for burritos and quesadillas. I bought a quesadilla and it was barely a quesadilla. Hardly any cheese and food was just falling out of the tortilla. The chicken lacked flavour and it was not a great taste. I'm very honest with my reviews and this one did not set up to par. The sauce they use is a combination of zesty and creamy and all the fresh veggie fillings are magically in the right proportions somehow. There's only a few tables, but it's nice to sit outside in the summer months. My ongoing quest to try every burrito in Toronto brought me to Bolet's Burrito on a sunny Friday. I walked in and the place was pretty much empty, so I immediately ordered a small Steak burrito on white with everything in it ("beans, rice, cheese, lettuce, green peppers, green onions, sautéed onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, burrito sauce, sour cream, and hot sauce"). I received it a few minutes and I'll admit, it's one heck of a fine looking burrito. It's got that irresistible crust from the grill and it was seemingly very well put together. The first bite was a bit of a red flag - I got a piece of almost cold tomato - but the second and subsequent bites were all perfect. The ingredients were perfectly proportioned and the spice level was insane. (I asked for it extra spicy and I sure got that.) So why am I giving this three stars instead of four? Towards the end I got a bite of inedible meat, like it was a big chunk of hard fat or gristle or something. I actually had to spit it out into my napkin, which is something I never do. It was unpleasant to say the least. Anyway, the rest of the burrito was fine, although it did completely start to fall apart towards the end. read more

Sooooo Gooooood. Did not disappoint. Large portions. Flavourful. Sweetest owners with the brightest smiles. Even though they close at 8:30, and we arrived at 8:20, they were very polite and welcoming. They never made us feel rushed while we dined in well past their closing business hours. (Felt horrible because we didn't realize they closed at 8:30 until we left and I checked their sign for informative purposes since I want to come back next time!) Buffalo chick was crispy, juicy and the burrito sauce pairings and spicy kick was so yummy! Fish was very hot and went well with the burrito wrap. Such a good find. Place is clean but decor and location is deceiving compared to the food they served, but for great value, sweet service, and delicious food, well worth it. I am shocked that this is included on multiple lists of best burritos in Toronto. I ordered the veggie burrito and it is easily one of the most bland burritos I've ever had. Like, no seasoning whatsoever and hardly any distinguishable flavor apart from the hot sauce. The fresh tomatoes in my burrito were not remotely ripe and the vegetables were chopped into huge sloppy chunks. I also ordered a veggie quesadilla, and I am almost 100% certain that the salsa that came with it was pre-made tomato sauce straight out of a can. They didn't even bother adding salt so it just tasted watery and gross. I never leave bad reviews for restaurants and am more disinclined than ever to do so during a pandemic. That being said, you can't serve food this bad and expect people to not say something. If you are like me and expect flavor in your burrito, do not make the mistake of going here. read more

Located on Front St. and Lower Sherbourne, it is not extremely easy to find since it is situated at the side of Rabba's. But once you find it, you'll keep coming back wanting to try all their burritos. Their prices range from 7.50 to 9.25 with tax included, and their portions are huge for its price. A small size is already pretty hefty and can fill up anybody's appetite. Even better if you have a student card, you can buy a small Chicken, Pulled Pork, Veggie, Steak, or their Special burrito for only $5 tax included. No matter what kind of burrito you buy, it'll be filled with fresh veggies and flavourful meats. This heaping plate of fried chicken strips with buffalo sauce, on top of the normal fillings for a burrito like lettuce, tomatoes, rice, beans, etc. The entire thing was delicious from start to finish. Really good Burrito hidden away in Lower Sherbourne. I really like that they really take the time to grill your burrito so the tortilla will have a crispy skin. I really like their fish burrito and they do ensure the fish is crunchy and crispy before assembling the burrito. The food takes some time to cook so if you are on a rush I would order advance through Ritual. I find this place is better than the bigger chains. I use to live across the street and never heard about this place because their signs are not distinct had I known I would have come here alot more often. read more

I really wanted to love this burrito place -- but I'm afraid it was only okay. This place isn't fancy, which I take to be a good sign; the best burritos I've found tend to be at hole in the wall joints. The price was good, and a large was big enough to split for a decent meal. We tried the beer chipotle chicken with the works. The meat was fine, though sweeter than I liked; it's likely that other meats have better and more interesting flavors. Fillings were generous, but the flavor just wasn't what I was hoping for, based on the stellar reviews. To be fair, though, I was spoiled by excellent, cheap Mexican burritos during 7 years living in Los Angeles. Ordered a small pulled pork for lunch and ate half of it. Half is just right for one sitting for me, saving the other half for later. It is delicious, fresh and flavorful, like real flavor, not just making it up with salt and a lot of sauce. I also thought it held together better than most burritos.
