The rooms and floors were dirty. Waiting in the long line, which feels like a Disney line to go on a ride, my checker called next. I was friendly and tired to chat while she scanned. She was short. I paid and once my item was on the counter, she yelled next. I hadn't put my card in and I was pushed out of the way. I refuse to move until my wallet is secured and walked out of the door.

The employees assisting me appeared unsure of the process and had to reach out to a manager for help. When the manager, Aaron, came over, his approach was very rude and came across as dismissive and snobby. Instead of making the situation better, his interaction left me feeling disrespected as a customer. I have been a loyal Academy Sports customer, but after this experience, I no longer feel valued as a customer at this location. Customer service makes a lasting impression, and unfortunately, this interaction has caused me to reconsider returning in the future.
