A lovely family owned/run restaurant- homemade pasta.. sauces.. breads. It's all delicious. Full bar and a decent wine list. Outdoor seating. Service like you're at home.. I could go on and on. The grilled peach appetizer was to die for.

I just had surgery and wanted to order some food for dinner for the next few days. Their family meal deals are an excellent value. For my husband and I we ordered the chicken parmesan meal for four people as well as the large lasagna for 2. As you can see in the photo, there is more than enough food for two people for a few days. Four large pieces of chicken parmesan on top of penne with tomato sauce. Upgrade to antipasto salad and the meal comes with an entire loaf of focaccia bread and four mini cannolis. $92 total for everything. I don't think you can buy the ingredients to make this meal for that price. Everything is delicious and well portioned. Online ordering is available with curbside delivery to make everything seamless. 10/10 recommend!!!

This was my second time here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. There is a small seating area in the front and a larger dining area behind the kitchen. Our server was friendly and offered great suggestions. We started with the crispy Brussel sprouts that were crispy without being burned like some places. Three of us ordered the pollo alla joey (breaded chicken, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms in a creamy sauce). The portion is large but could use some type of pasta to soak up the sauce. When I reheated the next day I made my own side of pasta and it was delicious. One person in our party ordered the pumpkin gnocchi and said it was full of flavor. I also had the old fashion as my cocktail, it's strong and taste good. I can't wait to go back.

Tuscan steak (medium) - some parts were bitter/burnt and other parts were more well, but overall the sliced steak was good.

Bologna is a small but quaint Italian restaurant with flavorful marinara sauce. I enjoyed lunch during happy hour 4-6 pm Saturday, where the choices were less varied but a few different options for apps, pasta, pizzas, chicken, meat, and fish dishes do meet most expectations. My dining partner and I had the trio meatballs (always a great choice) and today had the melanzana (delicious eggplant) app. I had the Tuscan Steak, which I got medium but some pieces were burnt (which made it bitter) or overcooked past medium, yet was still fine. The steak came with asparagus on the side. The lasagna today was excellent: very flavorful, saucy, and cheesy. The servers were pleasant and always refilled our waters and checked up on us. A very nice meal overall!

Ambiance is cute although a little tight on space. Service was good, no complaints there. I was actually surprised that the food came faster than I thought. We ordered chicken piccata, a make your own cavatappi w mushroom and olive sauce, salad with chicken, and stuffed shells. Everything was enjoyable!

The vibes at this restaurant were stellar and enough for me to want to come back. Bologna is the type of place where everyone is greeted and acknowledged by the owner. In fact he was the one who seated us at our table. It's the type of place where it's not weird to chat with the strangers next to you. Everyone is so casual and welcoming and it feels like family. Of course the food and service were great too. The pizza was yummy and I'd also recommend the tips arrabbiata. We finished our meal with a limoncello slice. I dont recommend this restaurant for large groups because it has limited seating and they don't take reservations. But for date night it's great!

It's a lot smaller inside than I thought it would be but a lovely restaurant with really nice service. For appetizers, we had the meatballs which were fantastic, the bacon wrapped dates were not good at all in my opinion, and the winter crostini which was alright. We all loved our entrees - the pistachio salmon had a unique pesto and was cooked perfectly. The lasagna was really delicious too. The desserts were wonderful too - the tiramisu wasn't too heavy and the chocolate hazelnut cake was delicious. I would definitely return!

This is probably my favorite Italian spot in Michigan. Amazing food. Only down side is it's super heavy, but absolutely delicious.

I first thought the plate had way too much oil drenching the steak but then I realized that's part of the local bourbon-infused magic that makes this steak "the best in the house" per our server. And when that first bite hit my palate, several thoughts crossed my mind: 1) mouth watering savoriness 2) medium rare supple texture 3) aged barrel vanilla and chocolate 4) subtle smoke Hands down, one of the best steaks I have ever consumed. The uniqueness of the wood flavors and aromas combined with the natural rib eye fattiness forces you to take a step back and think about what's in your mouth. I would make a special trip to come back for just this steak. Some of the other menu items are not anywhere as impressive. Although I didn't taste, the consensus at my table was that the summer berry salad was over dressed and too tart. Wine list average, at best. The bourbon steak is so good that by itself, it elevates this review about 1.5 stars. That's all....

We made reservations and arrived and got seated. At first, everything was great. The server came and got our drinks and bread right away and asked what we wanted for the app. We put two apps in and when he came back with the drinks we put the pasta in. We asked for more bread and he said he will bring it. This is where it went wrong. About 10 minutes later he passed us to go to his table behind us and said oh yeah the bread Im getting that and your refilled drinks. After that we did not see this guy for almost the remainder of the service. We ate the apps and then still no drinks. We waited for him to come back in this cornered area and did not see him. The manager brought the pasta and they forgot the chicken for my husband. He got us refills and my husband told Him and he said "well I can put in an order and then you can just add it to the pasta". He brought the chicken out 14 minutes later and his pasta was cold. He had waited to eat it. Still no server or bread. Finally the waitress that was in that area asked us if we needed anything. I told her we were waiting for the read for a long time and that we havent seen the waiter since he took our order. He never came when the food came. Just as we said that he walked over and said oh Im getting the bread. They said the bread was taking a while. As he said that, the manager brought the table next to us some bread. Then the waitress brought some for her new table. We waited again. She ended up giving us her bread and then got new bred. He finally came with the bill and said oh did you want dessert? We obviously didn't as we didn't even see him the whole time. He took forever to bring us the change. This is the second time that the service has not been great. The food is great and tastes great. The restaurant is nice and clean and I like the atmosphere. I just feel like paying $72 for this service wasn't great.
