On a brisk and balmy day, I sauntered into this plaza in Santa Ana in need of a specific part for my 2012 Acura TSX, 4-cylinder. Lo and behold, she ordered the correct part... a lifesaver. This former bolsa auto parts has been around since forever. My father used to order parts here all the time before he retired his auto mechanic shop. Even today, I was able to come in and talk to the owner buying an expensive part for a great deal for my Acura TSX to fix my check engine light. You should definitely speak to the owner here as I saw her juggling 2 phones while speaking in many languages (English, Vietnamese, Spanish). However she can multi-task and still cater to me, helping me to order a part that fits my car perfectly. It is located in the plaza and there are ample of parking spaces. This store has been a lifesaver for my car and it seems that the owner has a lot of spaces and inventory to store a lot of parts. Most parts when ordered, will come within 2 days. I am glad I made the long drive from Huntington Beach just to this location solely due to the convenience and value. Yes, it is just that good. read more

This place is either incompetent or purposefully shady. I called to check on availability of an auto part and the price. I get quote a price on the phone and its available. 30 minutes later I show up, and it takes another old man literally 10 minutes to write down my VIN to check if they have the part. They have the part, but it's priced higher. He checks with the other guy who quoted me the price, but that guy doesn't remember telling me original quote. They give me a discount, but it's still higher than what was said on phone. So you guys determine for me, whether they're purposefully doing a bait and switch and wasted my time. They refuse to answer their phone, I called them 8x within a 3 hours period, 12pm-3pm, and have yet to receive any answer from them. I bought a part that I am trying to confirm will be in store when I come to pick it up tomorrow. Though that's hard when a business cannot seem to take the time to simply answer their phone. Came in for a couple of headlights and brake lights at this place..surprisingly busy !! Good thing is that they have straight generic stuff and oem stuff .. fits perfectly and works great The bad stuff is that I was told that headlights were 12 for the dealer stuff and 5 for the brake lights..which should have been 17 ..plus taxes prob ~2 .. I had to pay 22!! So im guessing they charge more to get more money?? I dont mind about the extra few bucks.. but if next time if im getting stuff thats 1200-1500 $ worth of car parts..I feel like I may have to pay like 100 to 200 more than what they quoted!.. But rant over.. in the end of the day..its a local family business.. and it does save alot of money to go here than at autozone or at the dealerships. read more

I've been here a couple times before to get some stuff for my car.. Things are.. cheap I guess? I'm not entirely sure how much a rear view light would cost, but for my old Lexus, it was $4. He never installed it, but that's okay because it was easy to install. The shop looks really really messy but somehow it's organized. Not only do they have the manufacturer's brand, they have a generic brand too - with the latter costing varying dollars with compared to the manufacturer's price. For example, the other day, since my headlights have been dim for the past month and I was driving in the dark (rain did not help at all..) I decided to finally get my ass over to the store and restore vision to my eyes. The guy doesn't really speak English (Vietnamese helps) but he seemed to get what I was saying.. with my broken Viet and all. I decided to get the manufacturer's brand (vs. generic $10) in order to help my car. Okay, so this store is relatively cheap ($12 for one headlight so both headlights will shine) and the guy is helpful. SO SO VERY HELPFUL. Not only did a customer help install and look at my car for me, but when I came to buy two lights just in case, I came with $10. The total was $22 but the owner let me actually COME BACK within the next TWO days (because I had no money till then) in order to pay him back. He gave me no receipt and I could have wanted to run off with two headlights if I wanted to but that would be horrible. HELLA good service. The guy is super nice. He will tell you straight up if people try to rip you off, giving accurate prices on how things should cost. My car is pretty old now (2001 Nissan) but they still had my parts! read more

My car broke down on the freeway over the weekend and it turned out I needed to have my alternator replaced. The next day after being towed back to the area, I found out about Bolsa Auto Parts. They ordered a brand new alternator specific for my '06 Mustang for $135 which was a bargain compared to the $250+ I would be charged at AutoZone. The new alternator was delivered to the shop within 30 minutes! I needed a side view mirror for my Black Honda Civic and called over 50 places in Orange County to find the right kind. Other places had it, but not in black, plus they would've charged me $100. When I called Bolsa Auto Parts, the Vietnamese lady was hard to understand, but she was very helpful. She found the part I needed right away and said it was cheaper than the other places for a NEW ONE. I just had to go get it installed somewhere else and get some polish paint on it. i have 2004 Porsche Cayenne. When I drive the car makes some noice. And my mechanic checked it and told me that it needs to replace Center Bearing. I ordered parts at Bolsa Auto Part. it cost $155. I brought the part to my mechanic. After observing the part, he said:"the part look like fake or the part made in China" and the part missing some devices. This was not a whole kit. And I brought the part back to the Store. The owner who is lady said she will charged $40 for delivery fee. And refund $115 to me. In policy store they did not mention stocks fee or delivery fee For return part. But she changed $40. That was too much for return part At Bola Auto part. One of my friend was referring to Qualify Auto Part. i order the part Cente Bearing over here. But the part cost only $95 with the whole kit and really real part. So DO NOT do business with Bolsa Auto Part. They just only try to steal money from you, from their customers . They did not respect to customers. And the part less quality. I just bought the light bulb at bolsa auto part. The clerk asked me to try first then after I tried it was not bad light bulb but it was ballast. The problem is the sale clerk did not tell me that after I try it on my car then I can't return it. Sale clerk asked me to pay but he did not explain the store policy or gave me the receipt. Now they don't let me to exchange it. On the receipt has statement no refundable only. I told them please let me exchange for oils or something that i need because the light bulb is not part that i need. This is very expensive light bulb $30 dollars. I understand that some place you need to pay 15% restocking fee . But $30 is too much . Even on the the receive they say you can return in 7 days and don't mention any fee when you return . if you can speak vietnamese, you may want to try going here. If you can find a coupon for 10-20% off at the dealer and you're planning on getting dealer parts, go to the dealer. They don't have everything in stock here and they basically just call the dealer and have them brought over the next morning for a very similar price(about $1-5 price difference for items such as brakes, rotors, etc) They do have some aftermarket parts such as rotors(many say you dont need factory items such as rotors) that are made in Germany or Italy for half or one third the cost of factory rotors. They take mostly cash I believe but tax is included in the prices they quote you. Messy little store but the guys seem to know what they're doing, theyre just slow and old school.
