Honest and trustworthy?!? Beware Shady to say the least, came in for an oil change prior to leaving the car there I ask how much for synthetic oil change, the mechanic quoted $50 for synthetic oil and about 2 hours. I came back and about to pay for the service it was changed to $70, they stated they changed cabin filter without getting my approval or contacting me. This typical mechanic bait and switch. If they use this type of tactics for a $50 oil change, everyone should reconsider for major services need. read more

Hi, I don't know how these guys have 5 star average but I will tell you what I have been through in this shop. I took my BMW to this shop to replace valve cover gasket and paid 470$ with new spark plugs. Then, car started to leak worse than it was after replacing it. I went there again and explained what happened and they told me to pick it up day after. I was like okayyy.. Then I picked up the car and they told me that it is gonna take 2 WEEKS to get rid of all the leaks but I don't know how. However, I waited a month and it was leaking incredibly during that month. I went there again and asked for refund. He gave me only 400$ for refund because he replaced the spark plugs. Everything was fine until I realized one of the bills was FAKE. Then, I took my car to another mechanic and that mechanic told me that my valve cover is BROKEN by these guys. Also, they used silicon which is very harmful for the engine. However, I had to pay 568$ more+labor for a new valve cover. These guys made me lose my time-I couldn't have my car for 4 days-,money, and energy. Unfortunately, I will go ahead and file a case in a law office. My new mechanic also included all the notations about the valve cover and silicon on the bill to file a case. read more

A long overdue review for Chuc and all the work he's done for my family. For years my grandpa went to this man whenever he had car troubles. He always said Chuc was like another son to him because there was no mechanic around the area as honest and trustworthy as him. Now I understand why... I've been to Chuc several times whether it be a quick oil change or checking strange noises from my car or a major repair. I have never left his shop feeling cheated or disappointed. He never pressures you into buying unnecessary parts. He really does care about the customers and the quality of their cars. Not only that, but his prices are fair beyond belief. I've seen several mechanics around Irvine and about 100% of them overcharge for their services. The 40 minute drive in traffic from Irvine to see him instead is worth it.....which is what I did today. I even use Chuc's pricing as a reference to if I'm being overcharged when I'm not in the area. The definition of a good humble man. This isn't a big brand auto company like Pep Boys or Discount Tires so don't be deterred from the tiny parking lot or the crammed grimey garages around the area. This shop is one of a kind. There might be a slight language barrier but his English is pretty solid. I don't speak any Vietnamese (sorry to my people) but I can still communicate with him and his team just fine. Last time I checked it was cash & check only so no card. Also be sure to call ahead of time! This garage is packed 24/7 so just be sure he has time to inspect the car when you arrive. A well deserved 5 stars. read more

I was referred here by my friend who said her family has been going here for years. The owner is Chuc and he is friendly and helpful. There were a lot of cars and it seems like a pretty busy place. My car was making weird noises and I thought something was wrong with it. I came in when he was about to leave for dinner and thankfully he took the time out to check it out for me. He told me that it was a good thing I came in because there was something wrong with my suspension. While he was figuring out what was wrong, he showed me exactly what was loose. I went here today to get a second opinion after having my brakes done someplace else and then continue to squeak intermittently. They checked all my brakes for free, assured me everything definitely was fine but if the squeak once in awhile really bothered me they could upgrade me to a higher quality rear brake shoe. I tipped the guy and told him I'd definitely be back in the future when I need brakes, or maybe sooner for the upgrade. read more

This place is Vietnamese and it'll probably help if you have someone that can speak the language accompany you (most asian places are nicer if you can talk their talk). Got my oil changed w/ a new filter for less than $15. They did it right in front of me and were not sketch like some places (i'm talking to you JiffyLube). There is little to no space to maneuver around their auto shop, but if you need someone reliable and someone efficient, you can't go wrong. I drove over something on the freeway which got lodged under my G35 and eventually severed my muffler. The other night I tried starting my car, and there was a delayed start. The next few times I tried starting my car- same thing. My coworker recommended this place to me and told me he's been coming to Chuc for years. I saw that it closed at 6, which was perfect because most places closed at 5, and that's when I got off work. So I called them around 3, told them my problem, and said I would be coming right after I got off work. He said it was no problem. An hour drive took an hour and a half drive, and I called him 3 different times telling him that I'd get there later and later. Every time I called he said it was no problem, which was so nice. He was doing me a favor. I finally get there around 6:30. I thanked him for waiting, and he said that he stays up late working on cars almost every day. He gave me a free diagnostic. It ended up being my battery that was dying! I knew nothing about cars, but Chuc explained to me what was wrong with my car in detail. He even had this device that showed me the power my battery had compared to a new one. His price for the battery and labor was VERY reasonable! I definitely saved a lot of money here. Toyota tried charging me $120 for the diagnostic alone. BRING CASH! I actually did not bring cash at the time, but before he started working on my car he waited for me to pull out cash at an atm, which was cool of him. Chuc is an honest man, for sure. So my friend has told me about this place a few years back and I finally needed my front brakes replaced on my 2013 Prius (YES, I now drive a fuel efficient and extremely green car). I went to the dealer and they wanted to charge me $280!!! I was like.... "hell to the no thank you". Anyhow, when I arrived here, I already expected it to be ghetto which my friend already warned me about but I just dropped it off and came back an hour later and there you have it, FRESH BRAKES for only $120!!! Mr. Chuck, I think his name was, told me that he got me OEM Toyota brake pads. What is OEM?? Well, whatever it was, he said it was original Toyota parts so that was just perfect. Dropped off my van at 3, walked through the Asian mall, ate a snack at Top Baguette, got an eye exam at Bolsa Family Optometry, and got back to the shop at 5. They mentioned my rear brakes are okay, but we're at 50%. I decided to change them also. I noticed my rear brake light was out and they replaced it for free. Left at 5:30.
