My car battery light was turning on Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I desperately needed help and found this place! I always want to support a local shop and it helped immensely that they were open on Sundays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Quoc looked under my hood and saw my alternator was rusted. I went out to buy the part and he quoted the labor to $150! Overall, $400 to fix my alternator but I'm glad it didn't cost me more. I had an alternator problem back in 2022 in Irvine and had it fixed for about $1,000! This didn't break my bank and it was done quickly! It took about 2-3 hours for him to finish my car. Drop by this shop on a random time on a Saturday for an oil change. Talk to the owner for a quote for an oil change and it was reasonable. There's two level service: mobile one oil and a regular generic oil service. Both price were reasonable nowadays. Service was fast and quality was top notch. I will probably will be coming back for oil change and (maybe) for an additional service on my car. read more

Awesome place if you have a European car. Tripping out, the only place open on Sunday was this guy. Well he told me to get the right oil and then would it swap it out for $30 ! Car: Toyota Camry hybrid 2012, almost 200k mileage. I go to this place for an oil change because the other store that I wanted to go closed on Sunday. In this one, he charged me for $75 synthetic oil. The other place across the street, last time I went there they only charged me for $65. (FYI that place name is California Auto Services) idk if they increase the price or not because the last time I went there is like a year ago. read more

I've been going here for over a year and the owner is nice and has serviced my car well until recently. the past 2 times the oil change has been awful. I've had to come back both times because my family and I have noticed oil leaking from the care severely (see pics below). I've never had an oil leak this bad. This is dangerous and I with the other yelper it is unacceptable. I'm going to have to look for a new mechanic now. read more

I received a quote on my brakes from a big name auto shop that included changing my brake master cylinder and disc/drums and related pads/shoes for a wobble at certain speeds. The rep was certain is was being caused by the rear brakes but everything was going bad and that I should try not drive the car until it is fixed. It is a bit of a drive for me but took my car to Quoc to check it out the very next day. He quickly confirmed that there were no issues with my brake master cylinder. As he started to remove the drum from my rears, he pointed out to me that my drums have not been taken off for some time. He continued to check my drums, with me next to him and either that big box mechanic has x-ray vision (though metal) or he truly never opened up my rear drums because all the dust was still there. no fingerprints or evidence of someone looking around in there. Just watching Quoc work, he had to dust things off just to take a look. After his full inspection, the only required fix was the front brakes and related pads. He was extremely affordable. I had him include an oil change and the price was 1/8th of what the big box shop wanted to charge, half, had I only had them do the fronts (with no oil change). Amazing service and price. I was at the shop for less than 2 hours and I was a walk in and he had to order the parts. Not to mention other cars were being worked on. I used to do my own car repairs as I had some old school mechanics teach me and Quoc does has those same qualities. thorough and honest. read more

Make sure that when you are going down Brookhurst, you slow down because it'll be a sharp right turn once you pass all the restaurants to your right hand side. IF you hit the school, you went too far. It's a small auto plaza that has about 2 other auto shops attached. I came here because I wanted to get a quick and inexpensive oil change. The mechanic's customer service and professional service were on point from the get-go they greeted me right away and asked me a series of questions before entering my vehicle and made sure I knew the options before they performed the task. I think I found my new go-to place for oil changes especially because I love to support small business owners. read more

I would say they are readily open and do pick up their phone when you call. Just that they charge your on the high range for their service. I went in their for an oil change with synthetic, which could have cost me around 35 or so at Bolsa car shop. But they charged me $50 for a 4 qtr mobil. This is for a toyota corolla. But the service wad done quick. They were open on sunday and holidays. read more

Oil change was over due by 1k and it was a Sunday when I managed to have time to get the errand checked off. Not many places open on a Sunday! Drove an extra mile or two to come here but it was worth it! Super fast service!! Like as soon as I put the car in park fast! Paid $50 for synthetic oil. Highly RECOMMEND!! read more

Great service! I went on a Sunday after I waited two hours at another location literally! I came here and probably waited about 2 minutes to be attended he checked all the fluids on my car did my oil change and checked my tire sensor he finished fast and didn't charge me a crazy price. Quoc save my butt! I went to 4 different shops all telling me I needed to replace my entire oil pan without even trying anything. On my way home and very sad I saw quoc auto repair and stopped by. Quoc was very nice and friendly and honest. He took time to inspect my oil pan and found a way to get the bolt out and only charged me $20 dollars. This is unheard of in the auto mechanics world. Quoc is one special mechanic and I highly highly recommend him. He saved me almost $2k. This will be my mechanic shop from now on thank so so much quoc!!! read more

The staff here are so friendly & honest. I came here for an oil change and asked if they can check my breaks & tires as well. They said my breaks are good but they will rotate my tires. They were fast & quick. They have cheap prices a reg oil change for $30 but i payed $55 for better type of oil. I would recommend this place to my friends & family. I wish there is a 0star that i should give It s terrible and ripped off auto repair shop!!! I got my check engine on and come to this shop to fix he does clean up about 30-40' and charged me 200$ and complained and he say if i wont pay he wont give me the key back and i need the car to go so i had to pay. And just 5 days late the check engine on again same code!! I find out he didnt really fix my car and come back tell me and he just ignored me. I can believe they can do business like that. My boyfriend have been going to this place for almost 4-5 years here and recommeded that I should take my car to Quoc to get my car fixed everytime I have a problem. He always does more than I ask for a cheap price. If he finds a problem in your car, he'll fix it and charges you less than you expect! The only downside of this auto repair that it's always crowded and there's less to nothing parking spaces! None the less, never disappointed and money well-spent! read more

We had a check engine light on and were quoted $175 for a diagnostic, which would go toward repairs if we moved forward. They had the car all day Wednesday and into Thursday. When we called for an update, they told us they still could not determine what was wrong. They gave multiple possibilities (fuel sensor or computer), but admitted they were unsure. Despite claiming to have spent the entire day testing, they were unable to provide an actual diagnosis. They then recommended replacing the fuel sensor for $698, while also stating it might not fix the issue and that the computer could also be bad--yet they couldn't even quote that. At that point, it was clear they were guessing, not diagnosing. We picked up the car Thursday, and my husband expressed concern about being charged a full diagnostic fee when no diagnosis was made. We immediately took the car to another local mechanic, who only charged $77 for a diagnostic. After hearing our experience, they specifically told us we should request a refund because we were charged for a service that was not actually completed. Within a few hours of opening the next day, they were able to correctly identify the problem. Being charged $175 for guesses and no clear answer is unacceptable--especially when another shop diagnosed the issue quickly and for less than half the cost. At minimum, we believe a refund of the diagnostic fee is warranted.

Quoc Auto Repair has excellent mechanics they are very knowledgeable and offer the best customer service I have ever recieved.
