This place was recommended to me from my Yelp & I.G. friend, Carrie N. I decided to drive the 28 miles RT to check it out. They brought back the jalapeños! So We're back, Baby! Definitely fire in the house - we always Order four of them (two each) to enjoy with our four pack of chicken tacos. The half and half is a mixture of beef and chicken inside instead of half wrap with chicken and other half with beef so it's perfect for sharing. This too is a good size and can be shared with your barcadas (means friends in Tagalog). This Asian fusion really made for a pleasant meal that I least expected. Hubby and I decided to try it last week and straight away we were greeted with a big smile from Brandi. She was energetic and patient as we tried to decide what to order. Hubby gobbled up his fully loaded shell, I inhaled the taco and then it was time to start on the beef dish. First bite = yummy deliciousness. Second bite = oops, something hard and crispy- spit it out. Third bite = pew, eww, wtf?! Yuck...is that a burnt piece of coagulated dirt? Spit that out too! But got to keep eating- this food is good! Fourth bite = crunch, crunch...gross...a bigger piece of something hard, what is this, burnt plastic? And so went the rest of my bites until I had to tap-out...too many hard, crunchy, burnt things were surfacing from my plate. I alerted Brandi, who was very pleasant and apologetic, and she alerted the cook. He didn't seem too troubled by it and I didn't want to make a huge deal, but I did let her know I would still give her a good review and post up these photos of our experience. All in all, aside from the crispy, burnt, bitter-tasting morsels of clumps in my food, this place was good. I like the self serve horchata and the self serve fried chilis. I had the combination stir fried udon. It had too much sauce on it and not enough udon. It also took forever to get, but it seemed like they were having issues with an order. They also whack away at the meat when they are done cooking it with a cleaver which is pretty disruptive while you're eating. Also my friend asked about their burgers/chicken sandwiches because they were pictured on the wall/windows but they said they don't have any and they are just old pictures. I thought that was a little weird. The bom bom fries is pretty crazy to order but we just ended up turning the tostada upside down and picking at the fries. This fusion Mexican Teriyaki joint is pleasing to the eye when it comes to presentation of the food, but the delivery of flavor just misses the mark for me. The drive thru service was a bit lackluster as well where it took 35 minutes for 3 cars to receive their food including my car from start to finish, from order to payment and to receiving your meal. I ordered their signature chicken wrap that I see a lot of people mention on reviews as well as their signature item "Bom Bom Balls." While the chicken wrap for me had an interesting flavor of teriyaki meeting Mexican style cooked chicken in a wrap presented itself as a fascinating concept. While seasoning and flavor did not disappoint too much there was a strong lack of meat in the wrap itself, it seemed like the tortilla was also soggy when biting into it. The wrap has more rice and cheese than it does meat by a long shot. I'd give the wrap a 3/5 based on flavor for how much you spend and amount of meat served. Now onto the item I thought would blow my mind away..the Bom Bom Balls are "lightly" breaded rice balls with meat inside. I tried them with and without the Bom Bom sauce. At first glance these balls are massive! No pun intended whatsoever but these balls are a mouthful to say the least. Unfortunately the balls were served cold to lukewarm to me, they seemed like they have been sitting there for a long time, and the breading was as hard as a marble biting into. Upon eating them without sauce they were completely bland and tasted like it was just white rice and a miniature scoop of meat that was breaded and sat out in the desert for a long time. Even with the Bom Bom sauce there was no redeeming this lack of flavor signature dish. Unfortunately, the meal was not satisfying and to be completely honest I only ate 2 of the Bom Bom Balls and about 75% of the wrap due to me not particularly enjoying the meal. I'd definitely come back if there was a revamp of the concept, but from my experience it missed the mark when it came to flavor, service and delivery of each bite. read more

I wish I could give zero stars to this business. I went in there hoping to have good food the portion was very small but that wasn't the problem I ordered specifically no chili no packets no onion for my daughter noodles playing with chicken they put extra spicy packet in her noodles. When I went to the counter to ask them to make a new one they denied me I have the receipt and showed them I ordered plain noodles with chicken my daughter cannot eat spicy food they told me they are not going to make me a new meal I had to ask over and over for them to at least drain the spicy water and put hot water finally he did it.
