Cute coffee shop in a great location. I stopped by here after a workout class nearby to grab food. As I walked in I realized they mostly make smoothies and panicked! It was freezing outside and I did not need a smoothie in negative weather. Luckily, they also have breakfast bagels, coffee, some pastries, and paõ de queijo! I ended up with a lox bagel and miso caramel latte. The bagel was delicious! It filled me up and helped me feel ready for my day. The miso caramel latte was the shining star. I've never had such a unique coffee! I highly recommend stopping by here if you're looking to shake up your breakfast routine. Such a great little spot for a snack and a delicious beverage. I was surprised at how much seating there was - perhaps 15-20 people could sit inside? We sat in the back corner booth that could fit 4 or maybe 5 people. The lattes my friends bout were a hit. They were perfectly created in the cup with the lovely decoration with the milk. One had a honey latte and said it was very good. I had a lemon seltzer. The table shared an everything bagel, made by Union Bagel, a local company. And it had a spread and sliced avocado - the bagels were devoured. There was one staff member up front serving up beverages and cashing out customers. She was very busy, however, was still able to great every single person with a smile as they walked in and said goodbye and thank you to everyone that left. A simple, yet great experience! What a pleasant and relaxed space Bom Dia has created! For decor/atmosphere, think minimalist tropical vibes (...don't forget to say "good morning" to the cactus with googly eyes!). There was a lot more seating available than I thought there might be: mostly two top low tables, a few bar seats under their vibrantly painted name on the wall, and all the way in the back there's this cozy c-shaped enclosed wooden seating for larger parties. The staff also seemed easygoing and were patient with everyone who came in. The smoothies aren't for me personally. I prefer mine suuuuuuuuuper thick (and still don't know where in Portland to get that), and these have more the texture of a melted milkshake. Maybe it's because they use both frozen and fresh fruits? Also, despite it taking a longish time for our drinks to come out, they were both still quite chunky. I get smoothie textures are totally preferential, so you should visit and try them yourself! Things to note as of writing this: 1. To go cups are an extra .25 charge; but, bringing your own cup saves you .25! 2. Non-dairy milk for your coffee has a $1 upcharge (... I was hoping we were moving past these days). 3. Peanut Butter Vibes (vanilla almond milk, banana, peanut butter, honey): SUPER creamy. Although I'm a sucker for peanut butter smoothies, they are incredibly easy to mess up. This tasted like a dessert! Delicious. Secret Menu Smoothie (cold brew, peanut butter, nutella, mocha drizzle, almond milk, banana): As someone who hates coffee and cold brew, I was shocked by how much I loved this smoothie! Truly such a treat on a hot day. A must try!! Parking Lot (pineapple juice, coconut water, banana, pineapple, spinach, avocado): Green, tropical-tasting, fruity, and light. Incredibly refreshing. Strawberry Alarm (vanilla almond milk, coconut water, banana, strawberry): Same light consistency as Parking Lot, but strawberry/banana-heavy. Also very refreshing! 47 India (coconut water, honey, banana, blueberry, strawberry, spinach, avocado): The coconut water, again, makes it less thick than a typical smoothie. Oddly enough, tasted of blackberries. Probably my least favorite but still very good! The interior, like their menu, is colorful, tropical, and beachy. There is plenty of indoor seating, perfect for two friends grabbing a sweet treat or a larger group.
