Amazing! Great vibes at this spot. Well decorated inside. Service was great. My daughters have been dying to try the trompe-l'oeil and they did not disappoint. We ended up staying longer and ordering more than we had expected. Will certainly be back. The inside decor was so welcoming I plan to come back and work remote from here sometime.

The inside was super cool and nice! The server was also quick and helpful. My only complaint is that it is pretty expensive! The coffee was good but I don't know if it was worth the price point :/

I was very excited to try this place out, as the interior looked really nice online. We were right. So nice inside and I asked for the baristas recommended cold coffee. I think it was the habibi latte. I had oat milk as well. So beautifully presented and it tasted very nice. The oat milk is nutty but the sweetness was perfectly complementary.

    Bad strawberry matcha

Have heard only good things about this place so decided to give it a try. I got their strawberry matcha which unfortunately was totally undrinkable. Attached photos are what I expected it to look like from their advertising vs what was received. It was still visually nice, however the strawberry flavoring was very fake and the matcha was gritty and bitter. No matter how much I mixed it, still very bad tasting. My friend also tasted it and did not enjoy it so we unfortunately threw it away. The shop was very cute and had many customers so I'm assuming the rest of their drinks are good, but I would not recommend the matcha.

Shaghf Cafe brings specialty coffee and crave-worthy desserts all the way from the UAE. It has quickly become one of my favorite new spots especially for a late night sweet tooth (they're open until 12 am). The space has a calm, minimal atmosphere with plenty of seating, perfect for enjoying a treat, reading a book, or getting some work done. I can't stop thinking about their pistachio Nutella strawberry cup; the mix of gooey Nutella, fresh strawberries, and the perfect crunch in every bite is unforgettable. The staff and owners are incredibly kind and make every guest feel welcome. Whether you're stopping in for coffee or dessert, this spot is a must-visit.

Absolutely amazing. Very unique to Portland and no place like it around. Menu option are all so good I had no idea what to get. Everything we got was delicious and I'll need to go back to try so much more. Very friendly staff and very aesthetic vibe inside. We will be back

A new addition to the Portland cafe scene, currently the newest as far as I know. As of writing this review the name is incorrect as Shaghf Coffee while it is actually named Shaghf Cafe. It is part of an international chain originated in the United Arab Emirates with this particular location being I believe their 12th location in the USA. Their space is quite large with friendly staff who greeted us and also brought our drinks to our table when done. The space is beautiful with just the right amount of decor/plants and neon lights to make the space pop. Comfortable seating while to enjoy your beverage and/or food. I asked what the staff suggested for the best cold drink and they suggested the Pistachio Latte while my wife got the Corn Flake Latte. I think both were very solid and unique. I look forward to returning to try more drinks as they offer a lot of drinks you won't find elsewhere nearby. Also need to return to give their delicious desserts in the display case a try! They had sooooooo many things that looked delicious! Looking for a new and different cafe in the Portland area then check this spot out!

Very friendly staff that gave us some great recommendations. We had the biscoff and Nutella crepes with strawberries, it was truly decadent. We also bought 4 of the lifelike fruit cakes. I've seen them all over TikTok and hadn't seen them anywhere locally. They were hard on the outside and mousse like on the inside. Amazing flavor. Atmosphere was modern and clean.

Cute new coffee shop in Portland. Def unique coffee flavors and come in cute little cups. The sweets looked great as well even though I didn't get any. The inside has lots of seating. Not your average coffee shop.

Service is great. Spanish hot coffee reminds me of my Moms coffee, it's perfect. Strong and not too sweet. The ambiance is nice, it is set up Like a lounge.

loved it! the interior of this place is stunning, and the menu is gorgeous as well. the strawberry matcha, the frozen coffees, and the pistachio cheesecake are all notable favorites of mine. it's expensive, though not exponentially moreso than any other place in portland in 2025. service is prompt and not super chatty, it's a quiet place to do work definitely (other than the really odd hours but if you're a morning person good on you). street parking is pretty available and it's next to back cove bookstore which is a fun stop as well.

That alone tells you so much about the heart of this place. A daily necessity. The only time I'm ever disappointed is when they sell out of their Banana Bread Latte. I still haven't been able to try it, but I already know it's going to be delicious. My go to order is a regular latte with oat milk and their house made Maine Maple syrup. Their hot drinks are always made at the perfect temperature so you can sip immediately without burning your tongue. And when I want something on the cooler side, I love that they have a nitro cold brew for that extra smooth finish. Despite how busy they always are, their service never wavers. The staff is consistently friendly and efficient. There's plenty of seating-- booths and high tops. Even with the plethora of people working on their laptop, I can almost always find a seat.

Their website lists about a half dozen, but the last time I was here there were just two: the sourdough chocolate chip cookie and the matcha and black sesame butter mochi. I'm guessing those are regularly available (they also do fun seasonal specials, so be sure to check their socials), but don't come with the expectation that there's going to be a big variety. The drinks include coffees, teas, and a variety of matcha. For me, this is NOT the best matcha in Portland. Matcha Mood is. The matcha here is good (maybe in the top three in the city), but the iced matcha with miso maple syrup and almond milk I recently had for $9+ was just okay. The drink is (literally) half the size as one at Macha Mood for the same price, and there wasn't any flavor of miso or maple. I've seen some internet buzz claiming THIS IS THE BEST... as a local, I don't agree. And that's okay; you might find your new favorite here, so it's absolutely worth visiting. They also do other fun spontaneous matcha flavors, so be sure to follow them on social! Check out their shop as well: loads of chili crisps and hot sauces, condiments and spices, jams, matcha powders and loose tea, pickles and other preserved foods, sweets, vinegars and oils, fermentation ware and kitchen goods, etc.

Which based on everything we had I completely understand why, this place makes incredible food and drinks. Overall it has a great inviting feeling to the space. To start off I enjoyed a Morning Bun Latte while my wife got the Honey & Juniper Latte. Both came out perfect temperature with well done latte art and delicious taste. My wife was obsessed with their pottery mugs that the lattes came served in. Food wise we were looking to split everything and it worked perfectly. We ended up choosing French Toast, Soft Scrambled Eggs, and the Fried Potatoes side. Every dish would be an absolute no brainer for us to order again. Every bite of food kept us wanting even more. Lastly we grabbed a chocolate croissant to go and that was just as tasty and enjoyed it after our visit. After this visit it is certainly a new favorite spot of ours, and look forward to coming back! After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!
