Chorizo, Egg, Cheese Sandwich on ciabatta
Jess B.

I have been coming to Coffee Me Up for years and have always had a good experience. Today was no different. It is such happy and friendly vibes inside. All the staff are amazing, so friendly, and caring. They always have tons of fresh pastries, bagels, goodies, and have plenty of made to order options. They have breakfast sandwiches, lunch options, smoothies, bowls, etc. There are plentiful options for coffee, tea, or other drinks. There is no parking lot but plenty of free street parking close by. The entrance and bathroom are handicap accessible. The bathroom is gender neutral. I got my favorite breakfast sandwich - the chorizo, egg, and cheese (with the incredible liptao spread) on their fresh ciabatta bread. I tried one of the drink specials which was an iced German chocolate coffee with notes of chocolate, caramel, and coconut. It was delicious and decadent. I also had to have a fresh, crispy yet fluffy, delicious croissant. Everything tastes fresh and great. I will continue to keep coming back! It's a great place to grab food/drinks to go or enjoy them in house! It's a great spot for remote working or wanting a nice relaxing meal.

This was a solid spot for coffee, pastries, and other breakfast goodies! There are plenty of options, so you really can't go wrong. I wouldn't say anything was particularly notable to me in terms of the food or drinks, though. If you're coming on a weekend morning, be prepared for a long line. The shop wasn't very big and was pretty packed, so we took everything to go. Not sure if it was a local or seasonal crowd. Generally good vibes, I wouldn't mind coming back at a less busy time.

Byrek with meat and egg filling and a breakfast sandwich with chorizo, egg and Liptao. Both excellent and would get again.

Service was wonderful- many working and meeting customer needs. Quick for homemade service. Food was tasty and unique. Albanian influence. Liptao spread on all breakfast choices AND they have byrek with meat or spinach filling. The location is within walking if staying downtown. Clean and inviting. Sit in or out.

Mean Green breakfast sandwich

Not sure why I had never been here before was so great ! They had a sweet and salty latte special that was absolutely delicious, maple syrup and salted caramel it was made perfectly I was debating 2 or 3 expresso shots . A friendly mood and nudge from the owner encouraged me to do the 3 and it was perfect. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We got a croissant which was really good and a Mean green breakfast sandwich which I highly recommend. Nice looking pastries and a deck out back and sidewalk seating make this a real destination spot.

Had the most amazing sandwich at this cute coffee shop! Coffee was on point and so were the pastries...

Salted pumpkin latte was excellent

Best latte in the city. We went to a lot of different latte places and this was the best by far! The burrito was also huge and delicious.

Bicotti cookie

Quick coffee stop on my drive to work. Friendly and quick service with a cozy atmosphere. Americano was smooth, tasty, and well balanced. Good selection of pastries. I ordered the biscotti cookie which had a subtle sweet honey flavor and a meringue on top. I'm not sure if it was the texture or flavor that was too subtle but I was personally not a fan of this biscotti cookie.

Was in Portland with the family for vacation. Stopped by here to pick up breakfast around 7am on a Sunday. They said the breakfast sandwich would have a long wait, but it was out in a few minutes. The service was friendly, and they have a ton of coffee and food options. I had the nitro cold brew and a breakfast sandwich. Both were great.

Such a great space. Conveniently located on the corner. Easy parking and nice seating areas. Indoor and outdoor. Love the bakery options. Love them too much. Bagel today and so yummy. Love having the views of the street and just people watch. Perfect way to start the morning before spending the day with my grandson. Coffee Me Up and ready to go.

I can't believe I haven't been here yet and was pleasantly surprised! Although it's out of the way of the majority of the hustle and bustle of Portland, this place is perfect to get a drink and a treat (or a meal). My iced chai, which has been surprisingly disgusting at other places, was just right and had undertones of cinnamon--yum. The atmosphere was super cozy and inviting, and there was a great amount of indoor and patio seating. Definitely will be back to try out their food and pastries!

Delaney M.

Always yummy. To go sandwiches, fruit bowls available, reliable coffee! Small place with limited seating!

We ordered the egg breakfast sandwich, jalepino cheese biscuit and the earl gray iced blueberry scone. The coffee of choice was the malt ice coffee. Ok. Rating the food: Breakfast sandwich-ciabatta bun-slightly sweet and very buttery..nicely fried egg and sausage YUM Jalepino cheese biscuit- salted top, jalepinos mixed inside with cheese. Nice and crisp on outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Earl gray iced blueberry scone- exciting!! Nicely baked with real blueberry. That icing tho - just the right sweetness! The malt ice coffees-great coffee flavor with a hint of malt - YUM Overall one of my own MUST TRY suggestions for anyone visiting Portland and needing a breakfast and coffee!

They advertise themselves as all day cafe/bar and market. The vibes were perfect with an overall cozy and welcoming feel. It seemed like a spot many regulars come to often as the workers appeared to know many people who came through! They have a bar with roughly 8 seats, along with some tables. With the back of the store having goodies to buy including candles, self-care items, wines, drinks, and more. Worth browsing before or after your drinks and food. We snagged two bar stools and were immediately greeted and served water along with a menu. All three staff members were friendly and made us feel welcome. Drink wise my wife got an iced mocha while I saw their drink special of the month on social media and had to try it. Named The Blue Rose with Butterfly pea flower, cardamom rose, whole milk, pebble ice and espresso on top. A photo-worthy beverage with a delicious flavor. I would keep coming back for this drink for sure if it were a permanent menu item! Food wise my wife and I both got a breakfast sandwich, only difference she got bacon while I got the impossible sausage. Well made and delicious sandwiches that would make us return as well. I do wish they would have been a little bigger though. If our visit today was any indication of the typical my wife and I would gladly return! Friendly service in a great setting with well made food and drinks. Need to return to give their cocktails a try! A standout space in Portland.

They have a lot of breakfast sandwiches made on their homemade English Muffins. When I went to order I asked what's the favorite/best sellers and we told the Yinzer. I also figured I'd get another sandwich too so I went with the Pastrami on Rye. Unfortunately they did not have any Pastrami available so I will say I panicked a little and ordered the BLT. I took a bit to get our food but they were busy so I et that. Once home I got into the Yinzer first. Let me tell you this thing was saucy but I like it that way. I will say I was a big fan of the English Muffin, probably on of the best I have had. I also had plenty of Chipped Ham which was rather tasty. Now the BLT I wasn't the biggest fan of. I guess I'm just not a big fan of a breakfast sandwich with veggies on it. Just didn't work for me. Would for sure come back if I was in town again because they have a lot of tasty sounding sandwiches.

After having some of the bread prior to our meals at a few restaurants, we found out the bread is locally sourced at a sister business right around the corner from where ate the night before. There is parking avail for customers in the lot for 30 mins, we prob waited about 20 mins and crossed the threshold into baked goods heaven. There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue. Just note that the bread served at the restaurants aren't available until 2pm - we were leaving that morning so we weren't going wait for it. We opted for other loaves instead and they didn't disappoint. If you want something yummy and fresh - make sure to stop by here before heading out of Portland. I do wish the setup was a bit more conducive to the big crowds as there isn't much space from the front door to the counter but still a fantastic find!
