The spot we grabbed coffee from today was at Yordpom. We snagged some street parking down the road, a line was formed but still inside and as we stepped in a greeter welcomed us in. He also assured us despite the line it wouldn't be long. It was true they definitely kept it moving. Showing up a little later in the day their pastries were low so show up early for the best selection. They have inside seating as well as a nice little outside seating section too. We did only get drinks so look at other reviews for info on the food. My wife got an Iced Mocha and I got an Iced Vanilla Latte. I do think they could take names to improve the drink pick up so you know it's your drink like many other places do. Overall the drinks were good but with all of the coffee options in the greater Portland area it would not be top choice. read more

We walked by this coffee shop the day before and immediately knew we wanted to come back and check it out! When we stopped in, there was no line, so we were able to get right in and order. The staff was really helpful when we had questions about the menu, which we appreciated. We got a latte and a cold brew and split a delicious breakfast sandwich. Everything was a great way to start the morning! They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so you have options depending on the weather or the vibe you're looking for. I walked in and was greeted kindly by a ma sitting by the door. But when I rounded the corner the people behind the bar didn't greet. There was a big glass between us though. It felt like it created a separation. There was a large glass with lots of pastries. I got a raspberry cheese croissant which was okay. I also ordered a cappuccino. The menu said it would be 8 oz. But it seemed small. And there wasn't a lot of foam. So it was just okay. There was plenty of seating which was nice. WiFi. No bathroom. Parking was right in front. Not sure I'll go back. The biscuit tasted like a generic canned biscuit and was kind of on the burnt side. The egg was good and I appreciated the runny yolk. It was simple cheap extra thin bacon. For $11 I'd expect more but that on peninsula rent will really get ya. Hard to give a fair rating but I may go in person to get coffee sometime and try that too. Not sure how this place has a 4.2 rating. Super deceiving. I'm giving this business a low rating because of poor customer service, quality of items, and an out of service restroom (that I'm convinced actually works, they just put a sign up to deny customers). Walked in and the man behind the counter looked annoyed to be disturbed. I checked my watch, we were still 2 hours away from closing. I asked which chai they used and he said he didn't know just that it was not made in house. I took a chance and yuck. Pure sugar. No chai flavor or spice. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. When I first walked in, I was greeted with an odd smell. I am not sure where it came from, but found it a little off putting. I ordered a small iced chai with almond milk and one shot of espresso. My total was over $8!!! I know it's 2024, but yeah, I was surprised how steep the price was. The interior was cute and the pastry offerings looked nice. I found my coffee a little watery but the chai flavor was good and it gave me a decent energy boost. Staff were nice, but to the point. My drink did come out in less than a minute which was impressive. Overall, probably wouldn't visit again, but a good place to stop in if you need a caffeine fix in a hurry and don't mind spending a bit more. read more

You really can't go wrong here when you order anything. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is amaaaaaaazing (and a mega caffeine boost), and their iced chai latte is also killer. Also check out their pastries - their chocolate croissant is stuffed to the brim with chocolate. Also love their breakfast sandwiches - they do microwave their eggs but you honestly would never know if you didn't see the microwave behind the counter. The flavor they get in the sandwiches is incredible - load up that pepper and spinach please! The owner Tommy is also great and welcoming. I've been coming here for years because he's always made me feel welcome. It's a queer-friendly, relaxed atmosphere with delicious drinks and a fun, sunny patio. Definitely try it out! read more

Friends had suggested that they had delicious coffee drinks, a comfortable atmosphere and a hidden gem of an outside garden, perfect for conversation with friends or as a quiet spot to get some work done. Stopped in with a friend to catch up and really loved the vibe. They had herbal iced tea, which I really appreciate! I feel like everyone has iced black or green teas when I want hibiscus! They also had an intriguing menu with a few homemade thai soups and a curried chicken! I will most definitely return to check those out another time! Now, to the best part...All the rumors are true. There is a lovely, quiet and restful outdoor garden at Yordprom. If it had not been 100 degrees on the day we stopped in, we would have absolutely have hung out there to catch up. i read the menu online before going in. ordered the avocado sandwich-was given a bagel with cottage cheese and avocado. i brought it up to the counter and asked if it was cottage cheese--he pointed towards the paper menu and said it comes with cottage cheese. i explained my confusion as their menu online says cream cheese. they made me another one with a little bit of cream cheese and avocado with no tomato. didn't open it until after i left but wanted to share as the online menu is very misleading and what i received is very different than advertised read more

Of all the coffee shops I've been to in Portland, this is probably my favorite. In addition to having very good coffee, the atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant, and there's none of the snootiness and attitude that can be present at a lot of the other shops in the area. The employees are friendly and fast. The beverages are excellent, and made correctly. The prices are pretty reasonable for what you're getting. Parking can be a challenge when the place is busy, but that's true of every other coffee shop on the peninsula. Unlike other coffee places in Portland, it has everything I want: 1) A great mocha, 2) Free wi-fi, 3) Plenty of seats (including a great outdoor area), 4) Good food, and 5) Easy and free parking. Low key, quiet place to drink your coffee and work on whatever you need to do. Lots of choices in the store for coffee beverages, tea, snacks, local baked goods and sandwiches. Almond and soy milk available for a small charge. Plenty of seating but the place was still pretty full. Convenient to downtown but off to the edge of it. Parking lot available if your drive. A local can snag a book or two as part of a portable collection loaned from the Portland Library system- cool touch. This just reaffirms the quiet, focused vibe to the atmosphere. I almost felt like an interruption when I ordered my almond milk latte and snack of a Liz Lovely gluten free vegan cookie. The almond milk is not sweetened, all the better to taste the coffee. (Croissants, scones and such) The place is a little set back from Congress Street; nearly across the street from Rite Aid. I returned recently to try the Vietnamese coffee and it does not even compare with other places that I've tried. As with the other drinks I've had previously, their Viet coffee was also on the lighter side, which is most disappointing since viet coffee usually has very bold flavors. Additionally, the service wasn't as good as last time, but that varies depending on the staff on shift. Given that there are many other coffee shops in the are, Yordprom is not on my list to return/recommend. read more

All other reviews of this place are pretty spot on. This is a great place to get work done, and like everyone else says the Vietnamese ice latte is very good! I would have never tried it if it wasn't for the reviews. I can only imagine how many calories the latte has, because it is very sweet. I usually finish all my coffee but I could not finish the medium I ordered. Next time I will definitely get a small. The music is great, and they have an outdoor patio. Unfortunately all the tables outside were small and only had two chairs; and I was in a group of three. Also on a nice day the tables outside are usually full. When I pulled into the parking lot I was nervous, because it is not in the best part of Portland, but it is a great get away from the area. Great place to get work done! read more
