I went to Bomba Taco + Bar for the first time last night and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Lucha Libre, Crispy Hippie, and the Smokin' Brussels tacos. They were absolutely delicious! Each were perfectly spiced and the tacos were filled with just the right amount of filling. I also had a side order of plantains which were absolutely scrumptious! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal! Hostess never looked up when we entered and proceeded to seat us and tossed paper placemats in center of table and walked away. Not a warm and welcoming greeting. Food was ok, server was the worst we have ever experienced. None of the six in our party will return, terrible experience. I realize Covid times we need to be a little understanding but there is a serious lack of training here. read more

We had a heck of a time getting service, even after we were able to order drinks took way too long, and were very different than the last time. I was disappointed because I was looking for a slightly upscale taco place in the 'burbs, but this was a near total-miss. I was tempted to give it a 1-star, but the hostess who took my take-out order was quite lovely the way she kept saying "lovely" when I was ordering on the phone and when I picked up my order, so the customer interaction provides some lift. I ordered 4 tacos: Steak, beef, Pork/carnitas and shrimp. The shrimp was a very bad joke of like those little salad shrimps and a bare 2-3 at that. The powdered cheese offered little/any flavor for the dusting they threw in. What you do get in abundance was very WET cabbage that pretty much dominated all 4 tacos. I am wondering if they are more a bar than a taqueria, but I would say Bartaco in KoP seemed hipper and definitely has better food. read more

Awesome! We got the taco 10 pack, queso, guacamole and kids taco meals. We mixed up the 10 pack (bbq beef, fried shrimp, pork, chicken, Brussels sprout). They were all fantastic. My order got delayed because of a glitch with Grub Hub so when we got there they didn't have the order. They threw in margaritas to go which was very nice. (We forgot to order them!!) Today we ate mid afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the guacamole and specialty chips and variety of 6 different tacos. Our server while personable still has a lot to learn . We dealt with it. We were very disappointed with their waffle churros. We tasted the churros waffle and it really didn't resemble a churros at all. In our opinion it was a deep fried waffle dusted in cinnamon and sugar . The former dessert churros were fabulous! When we asked when the dessert changed we were told- it's been a minute!!! Guess we don't speak that idiom of the English language.... Anyway, great food, not so great service and forget the dessert. P.S. when you go to pay with credit card their suggested minimum for a tip starts at 18 percent and it is awkward to have the server waiting for you to complete the tip and pay with your credit card . I wish I had taken a picture of my Tacos. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the crispy avocado tacos. I got 3 small flat shrimps and 2 small pcs of avocado, it was mostly coleslaw and jalapeno peppers. I wasn't a huge fan. The bartender was friendly, and the drinks were good. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner and the restaurant was understaffed, only 2 people running the front of house. Even with that situation we had a wonderful time. Food was very good, atmosphere was great and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had a great time and will definitely recommend and come back! read more

If I'm ever craving tacos, this is the place I always choose. I've gone there multiple times since it has been open and the staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. One complaint I have is when I was going there for takeout, I waited over an hour to get my food when I had already placed my order over the phone before heading over there... hopefully they learned how to manage take out and curbside pickup better read more

Been there twice now (pre-covid and during covid) loved both times!! The taco flight is where it's at aka 10 tacos for $35. Also, do yourself a favor and get the mango salsa... MY FAVORITE. Came here for dinner and it was a great new spot! The guacamole was delicious and so fresh... as well was the pico de gallo... The avocado taco was amazing, by far my favorite taco even if u aren't vegetarian you should still try it! I tried the fish tacos as well and it was good just a little too spicy for me. The churros were the best churros I've had honestly... and with the service that was great too! I never seen tacos come out so fast in my life lol. Service was horrible, I sat at the bar as I always do on my business trips. I like to sit at the bar to relax and meet new people, not to listen to the constant complaining by the staff. The bartender seemed to be in a constant state of childish anger, over from what I picked up some work place drama. Not only was the bartender non-stop going on about this drama, but a second woman had walked over and instigated the situation even further only making the service more slow and the atmosphere less enjoyable. The food took over 40 minutes for a single taco, and the drinks were poorly and cheaply made. I think everyone in this establishment could use a good trip back to the high school guidance counselor, and some hospitality classes. I would not come back to this taco joint, even if it was the last restaurant in America. read more

I immediately loved the aesthetic of this restaurant and the ample outdoor seating that is offered. My margarita was okay and I was relatively disappointed in the guacamole. I had seen previous reviews of people raving about it and was excited to try it, but was underwhelmed with what I got. On the other hand, the tacos I tried were delicious and I would definitely order them again. The prices are fair and the portions are generous which is also a plus. Nothing stood out to me on this visit but there was also nothing preventing me from wanting to come back. The restaurant is relatively new to the area so I will likely visit again once they have more time to settle in. read more

I went at 5:00 with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, and two young grandsons. We were seated immediately, served drinks, guacamole, salsa, and chips within minutes, and we placed our orders. The waitress would periodically stop at our table to ask if we wanted refills, and to tell us dinner would be out shortly. We were told three times dinner would be out shortly. At 6:37 she approached our table, and we asked her for the check for our drinks and apps, and told her we were leaving. By now the boys were starving. She left and came back with the manager who told us we couldn't leave because our food was coming out. My husband told the manager we had been waiting over 90 minutes for our food (tacos), and that was unacceptable. We paid for our drinks and apps, tipped the waitress $20 cash and left. The goat cheese pepito spicy mushroom was ... shocking as it tasted way out of the box but still it was a mexican flavored taco. The more classical flavored ones were also fantastic. Very disappointing In the end the mediocre tacos could not overcome the long wait, inattentive bartenders, and noise. Also their DirecTV did not have NBC Sports Philly so numerous parties at the bar could not watch the Flyers. I had high hopes given the Paladar connection and knew there would be a long wait on a Saturday night, but the food was truly eh. No better and prob worse than tacos from El Limon but with a bar.
