Yuck! The chicken fingers I had were frozen. Bad fries also. They leave food sitting out too long as well.

I wouldn't say anything in particular was the best ever, but everything was really good, which in itself is just awesome. The paneer tikka was good. Nice a flavorful. The palak chaat was fine - I'd say it was mostly just palak pakoras and didn't really have much of a flavors of a chaat. Proabably this was the only somewhat disappointing item. The paneer lababdar was really good. Asparagus kofta was probably the even better, and then the dal makhani was also good. We ordered naan in a couple of batches and enjoyed it most when they brought it out really fresh out of the tandoor. The bullet naan was really good. Garlic naan was good too. Really nice people and thoroughly enjoyed this Mother's Day feast.

The space is primarily bench like seating so keep that in mind. Service was a tad slow as we waited a bit to place our order and for the food to come out. The menu was varied, which I appreciated. I had granny's chicken, which had good flavor. The spicy naan was mild in my opinion, though others in my party thought it was too much to pair with a 7 spice level. Parking out front is easy. Okay option.

The space is very open and a little rough around the edges, but the food is good. One word of note is that we ordered takeout through the web site, and there were no options on the site to pick a specific level of spiciness. The restaurant defaulted everything to mild, and that was fine: everything just could have used a little more flavor intensity. I'll probably just call the restaurant for future orders to head off the spiciness level question. In terms of the specifics, the padpadi chaat was nicely textured and flavored. The veggie curry and aloo gobi were good but wanting for some depth of flavor. The chole (chickpeas and caramelized onions) was extremely good, with lots of flavor. The bread basket was essentially just a stack of naan, not any type of variety. The accompanying rice was nicely prepared with a touch of whole cumin seed to add some character. All told, this was a nice destination with some good food and a nice array of vegetarian options. It was excellent for what it is, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the establishment evolves over time.

Today I was on bus 54 returning from the Science Center ordering on my phone and trying to beat Salem's 1pm to 2 pm Friday prayers. I ordered 2 hot large meals, both the same. Was going for a 12 and 6 oz of Chilli Chicken and 6 oz of paneer but actually ordered 12 oz of chillies chicken, the paneer and 6 oz of chicken gyro. Sometimes mistakes are good. That chicken gyro meat was great and very tasty. We shared 6 oz of it over rice and still were too stuffed. One suggestion. If you do carryout, BRING YOUR OWN BAG. They pack it up but half the time it leaks. But on a very pleasant note, when we were waiting for Bus 54 to go home, a very nice young man stopped, noticed us, rolled down his window and gave us a bunch of paper towels. I LOVE THIS TOWN.

Like any parent, my first thought was: what if my son had swallowed that? I brought the staple with me and spoke with a manager at Salem. The response I received was incredibly disappointing. The only thing offered was a drink. No real concern, no meaningful response -- just a quick attempt to move past it. It left a really bad taste in my mouth, and not just because of the staple. Please be careful eating here.

It's always nice to support a hardworking local business! The food is always flavorful, generously portioned, and consistently good. The Chicken Tikka was especially tender, and the Lucknowi Biryani was rich and delicious. The owner is friendly, hardworking, and always happy to offer recommendations. Just a small suggestion complimentary cutlery for dine-in guests and some light background music would make the dining experience even better. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. There's no human interaction involved, essentially by design. That's perfectly reasonable, but it's helpful to know what to expect going in. In terms of the food, we ordered a few different dishes. The chaat dishes (Samosa Chaat and Aloo Tikka Chaat) were good. Lots of flavor and texture, with various chutney's on the side. The channa masala was generally pretty good. The spring dosa was well constructed with good texture, but it was highly dependent on various chutneys and other toppings for flavor. The pav bhaji was interesting, but also lacking. A pav bhaji is essential a dinner roll served with a spiced vegetable mush. In this case, the dinner roll was as expected, and the cooked vegetables were fine but generally flat in their seasoning. That's not a problem, but it also wasn't particularly noteworthy. All told, the food was good. It just wasn't exceptional.
