This chicken gyro is HUGE & packed with yummy goodness!
    Sarah K.

I've been looking for good Greek food since I came back from my honeymoon, and this is the place! Everything on their menu is flavorful & authentic. The people working here are super friendly & helpful. They made a mistake with one of my orders (forgot the tzatziki on the side & no cucumbers), and they completely made a new one and allowed me to keep the extra! The restaurant is quite small; although, there are some seat by the window. Nevertheless, this spot is perfect for quick takeout, and I love that it's local! Here's what I've tried: [Chicken Gryo]: Flavorful & stuffed full. This can be super messy so ask for the tzatziki on the side. I love that they put fries on their gyros. That's what I saw in Santorini. [Hummus]: Both hummus that I have tried has been super flavorful & authentic. The classic garlic hummus is out of this world, and I really loved the spiciness & mix of feta in the Spicy Hummus. Pro Tip: order extra pita with the hummus. There's not enough! [Baklava Cheesecake]: Although this isn't exactly authentic, it was delicious. I love baklava, and I love cheesecake. This was a winning combination for me. A flaky top with a creamy inside allowed for the perfect dessert! [Rice Pudding]: I didn't take a picture of this dessert, but it was delicious nonetheless. It's creamy and vanilla-y (Is that a word?!?), and the cinnamon on top pairs perfectly for a more than flavorful dessert. They always have a special of 2 for $6. Perfect for eating one now & saving one for lunch tomorrow! [Crab Cake Gyro]: For Lenten, they have specials, and this one did not disappoint. The crab cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love the innovation of the seaside tzatziki that paired well with the crab cake. I tasted a hint of Old Bay. Perfection. I will be eating at this place over and over again. I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

Gyros portions are large- beware! My husband can usually eat 2 gyros and fries but the meal was so big he couldn't finish it. The fries are seasoned and so good too. I went and placed order for takeout (there really isn't space for dine in except a counter and couple stools) so food was hot and fresh when I got home. I also brought home some baklava, baklava cheesecake and grape leaves. There's some items ready made in the case like dessert, grape leaves and hummus. Really friendly service and both phone numbers posted on yelp work (one is old, one is new at their Irwin location). Posting the menu and will be back for sure!

Great spot for relatively cheap Greek food! Some of the items are a little overpriced, but most are great! I have tried both the tiropita, spanakopita, and chicken souvlaki. Everything has been tasty, but the portions for the chicken vs pastries are vastly different! Both the tiropita and spanakopita are quite large. There is a special where you can get 2 of the same pastry for $5. They are quite buttery and moist on the inside, which I like. However, there is also a lot of phyllo dough on top, which made it crunchy, but did not add much flavor. On the other hand, the souvlaki is extremely small! It's just a piece of chicken slightly larger than the size of my index finger. It is grilled well, though, and has a nice charred flavor. But for $4.50? Well, you could almost get a while rotisserie chicken for that price! All in all, this is a pretty good Greek spot in Penn Hills. There aren't many other places in the area serving this cuisine, so check it out. It's small and quaint on the inside, but has some pretty decent food.

I decided to try here for lunch today and I was not disappointed. The lady at the front was very sweet and informative helping me pick what to get. I settled on the gyro combo which comes with fries and your choice of a drink. The amount of food i got for $11 was insane!! The gyro is loaded with fresh, hot meat, red onions and the sauce but I got feta with mine too. I waited about 10 minutes from my order (made it there, got my food and made it home before my lunch break was over) and it came out nice and hot. I definitely recommend this place to anyone around the area!

Horrible. The meat was burnt. The pita was small. The fries were OK. First and last visit.

This place is seriously amazing. The staff is so friendly and the food is the BEST. You get enough meat on the gyro for two of them. Always so fresh and tender and the prices are great. I'll never go anywhere else in Pittsburgh for a gyro!

Outstanding Gyros! I love gyros! My favorite place is Steve's up in Cleveland. When I can't make the 2 hour trip up there I go to Old Village Grill on Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills. The meat portions are large with more than enough meat for two gyros. Their options for gyros include (Authentic) a mixture of lamb and beef, (Souvlaki) marinated skewed pork and Chicken. They also offer greek salads, Hummus, Dolmage (stuffed grape leaves), Spanakopita (Fillo dough stuffed with Spinach and Feta cheese and Tiropita (Fillo dough stuffed with a blend of cheeses. For dessert they offer Baklava and Rice Pudding. They have party trays for your next event as well. There are everyday specials like a gyro, fires and a drink for $7.99 or 2 gyros for $10. They do offer a few tables if you can't make it home and want to eat in. They even offer free wifi and take PayPal. Get here now!

So much food. I asked for extra sauce. Didn't need it. Amazing. Only thing I want is the fries cooked extra.

The service was good! The pricing was good ! My problem is , I discovered ants in my drink! Kinda takes your taste buds out of the game when your brain says you drank bugs! Brought this to our waitress attention and she gave me another glass of of soda , that I had no intention of drinking. So we pressed on as the food was good. The waitress brought a sky tab for payment and brought more ants to the table. I called the waitress over and she apologized and took this to the owner or manager and came back to us with offering free baklava! The person in charge couldn't be bothered to come and address the situation even as we were the only people in the restaurant. I won't ever go back, even though the food was good. After standing up, I noticed VEVO insect lights plugged into every outlet around the dining room. So they know they have issues , Apparently Mediterraneans don't have people skills! Sorry! Just my experience at a restaurant of a cuisine I tried for the first time today! I wouldn't have given a negative review if this issue was addressed better! I don't blame the waitress, I blame the person in charge!

We were confused as to where the actual restaurant was. There is a sign on Route 8, so we parked there, looked around, walked downstairs, only to find it was offices. We were quickly greeted and seated. It seemed as though the owner and family were working. The menu was interesting, not real large but sufficient. We had, who I believe is the owner, come to our table and ask what we typically like to eat and then she was making suggestions. We thought she was just being helpful. My wife finally looked at her and said, I'm sorry are you also taking flour order now? She replied well that's what I was trying to do. To me that was a little off putting. We all took her suggestions and ordered. The food came out fresh and warm. It was good. We all tried each others meals. We felt that what my wife ordered was the best.
