THE GOOD ---------------- + ALL of the weekend buffet food was excellent here + Weekend buffet had a good variety of traditional Indian food. There were 18 different entree/carb foods to choose from + 1 dessert. If bringing kids beware as it's hard to tell which foods have a little kick to it. + FYI, the buffet comes with Naan and Dosa if you request for it. + Buffet price is only $20.75 per adult (as of October 2025). + Kids 5 and under eat for free for the weekend buffet. + Service was absolutely excellent. The waiters were attentive in clearing plates after we finished each one and were very friendly and accommodating. + Dined in on a Saturday late morning - early afternoon and there were PLENTY of tables available. In fact, there were maybe only 4 parties dining in from the moment we arrived till when we left. + Restaurant was spacious and had a lot of tables inside. + Plenty of parking in the strip mall that the restaurant is part of. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - This is really just nitpicking, but we wished they had more dessert options as they only had Gulab Jamon, which was very sweet. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Oddly, there were a few random people that walked into the restaurant to use the restroom and then walked back out. Rarely do we see that anymore anywhere, but it happens ... specifically here.

Always consistently tasty, with the best service and great energy. Not pictured, but the chai and mango lassis are must haves!! Still my favorite spot in Rockland!

Absolutely amazing experience as always and service is great. I eat halal food as well and I'm happy that there food is halal! I've been here probably 5-8 times now and try different types of dishes and they always are tasty and delicious. I recently got the sev poori, chicken 65, chicken Tikka, and beef korma. The sauces that come with the chicken and beef are extremely tasty and can be put on anything. Chicken 65 I got in mild and was perfect not too hot or spicy but just right. The appetizer sev poori was great, but the dhai poori I got last time is 100% best appetizer. This place never disappoints.

Lamb vindaloo Lunch Box - Lamb - Weekend / Holiday 11am - 3 pm this is the best value money can buy !! All of this for just $21!

I stumbled upon this place while passing through for work and was not expecting what I got , if you look at the photo I posted on here of the 21$ lunch special ( w/tax) you'll see they give you a little bit of everything , I ordered the lamb vindaloo which came with chicken curry and lentil soup , vegetables and rice Nan and what I call the cumin cracker cos I always forget the name of this but I was blown away by the curry chicken! The waiter there was great in explaining everything and attentive but I only wanted the vindaloo since I was in the middle of a work shift but damn I'm glad I got seduced into buying this cos it was one of the best Indian experiences I had , and to top it off they gave me a sweet dumpling in maybe a honey sauce to complete the meal. I am not sure how their dinner service is but if you are looking for an awesome lunch deal for Indian food you HAVE to come here!

    Martini with chaat

Hosted a team work dinner for 11. Reservations were easy and ready when we arrived. The ambiance was great - light Indian music and chill. Got attended to immediately with frequent check-ins. The appetizers arrived very quickly and as they came out - which was great to let people get started and not be overwhelmed - rather than all at once. My coworker loves samosa so I ordered Samosa Chaat which blew her mind. She loved the "pixie dust" (sev) on top! Dinner was fantastic - we shared a bunch of dishes, including saag paneer, chicken 65, dosa, veg manchurian and others. Huge drink selection, plus some very unique specialty drinks - I got a martini with chaat in it!

Good Indian food, pretty indoor seating and good service Food: they provide papadums with chutneys which were good! We ordered the chicken tikka samosa which was delicious! The chicken was very good! The paneer tikka sizzler plate was very good but not that flavorful. I had it with some of the chutneys and that made it taste good! The show stopper was the mail kofta - so good and so flavorful (but portion size is def on the smaller size). The goat curry was good but a little chewy! The garlic chili naan and the onion kulcha were solid! Ambience: a really nice interior - with a a lot of seating! Service: good service, pretty quick! Price: without drinks the cost is about $20 per person!

Mango chicken. Chicken tikka masala, chicken malai kabob, plain naan bread and plain bismati rice, tandoori wings.

The food here is exceptional. I am not a fan of very spicy foods so I always ask for mild and they do a good job of making sure my food is mild. The service is also very good here. They are very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this place for lunch/dinner.

Growing up in Bombay & eating Indian food & cooking it on a regularly, makes me sometimes really pick on the flavor when we go out. We really enjoyed the food here. The chicken Chettinad was the best. Spicy & full of flavor. We also had the chicken tikka masala & enjoyed the flavors, it was a bit sweet but the spice level blended with the sweetness that gave it an enjoyable flavor. The saag paneer was made a bit too spicy, it was crazy spicy. Next time I would definitely order this medium spicy. Also all entrées come with rice. We ordered hot Indian masala tea ... which they prepare fresh, good. Service was great. Both our servers Himanshu & Roshan were attentive & friendly. Will definitely come back again specially to try their Sunday buffet. Only complain I have is that their entrée portions were small. Thank you for your service.

Best Indian culinary experience for my family in a long while. Since I cook Indian food at home, I…read moream quite picky about Indian restaurants, and Mumbai Dreams blew our mind. What impressed us first was their friendly, efficient and thoughtful service. I believe the man who took our orders was the manager. When he learned that I was a dairy-intolerant vegetarian, he informed me that the two veggie dishes I ordered - Bhindi Masala and Smoked Baingan Bharta - both came with heavy cream but they could switch to coconut milk for an extra $2. Then he went down the list of our order to say that some other items also contained a bit of dairy. I figured that I could survive that much anyway. Although the restaurant sign says "creative Indian cuisine", we stayed mostly with the traditional and our favorites. Our order came very quickly. Arriving in a cute mini tricycle, the samosas were surprisingly plump and substantial. Two of those could easily make a meal for me. The Kure Kure Mushrooms were deep fried and coated with creamy seasonings, bus still retained the chewy bite and aroma of oyster mushrooms. The serving was so large, the spices so abundant that both husband and son said they'd resume this dish after our rice arrived. The meat-eaters were extremely happy with the Malvani lamb, while I was just as impressed with the two vegan dishes. Everything was cooked from scratch, retaining the fresh flavor and texture of the ingredients. There must have been a whole pound or more okra packed in the Bhindi masala, which was dryer yet tastier than what I'd experienced elsewhere, a truly honest value. Baingan Bharta is one of my comfort foods, and their version surely met my expectations :-) We loved their creative Rosemary naan, what a delicious fusion of east and west! The waiting staff kept checking our water supply and other needs. The bill was very reasonable. We are sure to come back for more!

We had a reservation for a party of six at 7:00 pm and were promptly seated and given water when we arrived. Unfortunately, that's where things started to fall apart. We didn't see another staff member for about 45 minutes. Eventually, I believe the manager came over and took our drink, appetizer, and entrée orders all at the same time. Our drinks arrived about 20 minutes later, and the appetizers started coming out intermittently after that. Our entrées didn't start arriving until around 9:00 pm, again coming out one at a time. Some people in our group were nearly finished eating by the time others received their food. We had also ordered naan for the table, but it was the very last thing brought out, at a point when some people had already finished eating and no longer wanted it. Throughout the evening, a young woman did keep our water glasses filled, but aside from taking our order, no one came to check on our table -- no one asked how things were going, whether we needed another drink, or acknowledged the long wait. The final frustration came when we received the bill and saw that a 20% gratuity had been automatically added. Considering the level of service -- at one point we were stacking empty cups on the windowsill just to make room for our food -- this felt pretty disappointing. The food itself was decent, but based on this experience I wouldn't return. One suggestion for management: if in-house service is running extremely slow, it may be worth pausing take-out orders so you can properly serve the customers already dining in the restaurant.

Now on to the criticism... the service is not that great, we were seated and given menus, but we had to get our own utensils. This is not really a full service type of establishment, you pay at the register. They could use more efficient expediting, and then things would feel more welcoming. The second thing I was disappointed with, was one of the reasons we came here was for the Masala Dosa. They started off by saying no Dosa and no Biriyani available. We saw a couple walk out because there was no Dosa. We improvised our order to things we weren't too excited about ordering, but both the beef curry and the butter chicken were tasty. The next thing that will prevent us from coming here for dine- in, in the future is the horrible smell in the bathroom and the temperature of the restaurant. We wanted to wash up before our meal, but the smell in the bathroom was gross. It looked clean, but there was definitely an odor. It was 42 F outside and the air conditioning was blasting cold air. I asked twice to shut it off because my kids were freezing and I was cold too, but it looked like all they were able to do was raise the temperature on the unit which helped only minimally. Really good food, but I think they will need to find a way to address some of the other issues

What a unexpected hidden gem in town! INDIAN in OLD TAPPAN?!?…read moreI was very happy to see them on the way home from work one day and they had nice, dark interior that was very inviting. I took out a butter chicken ($19, Entree, 5/5) and it was sublime. That prompted me to order lunch special another day for my office and while it was slightly pricey, they allow you to choose different types of curry (can choose a mild curry or hot curry like vindaloo), protein, and they give you the almond milk(?) dessert. Tandoori Chicken ($19, Entree, 5/5) - I had a colleague who's NEVER had Indian food before, and he swore to his stomach that this was AMAZING. I had to agree - chicken was super moist, fragrant seasoning deeply penetrating yet not overly salty or spicy, and not greasy at all. I have to say it's one of the BEST Tandoori chicken I've had, and I had many. I do think the quantity is slightly lacking for the price, but their quality is definitely there. We need to support hidden gems like these that aim to create AUTHENTIC food that is true to its roots - so please go try them out ya'll and thank me later!
