This used to be such an amazing Indian experience. Pickup used to be across from the drug store but since they moved everything has gone down hill. They are only pickup or delivery but their prices are just insane and will be their downfall. Also the quality has clearly declined as well. They charged $60 for the below which is highway robbery. The pint containers were more sauce than chicken. Don't get me wrong their food is really good, but they should be charging $60 for two pint containers and a nan bread. Had I know that was all that was in there I would have left the bag on the counter and walked out. I tried to call owner and was told they were not in and they come when they can. The food was fine but the prices are quite high. This isn't just an issue with Bombay Hut so not singling them out. First time ordering here and loved it. We ordered paneer Tikka masala, peshwari naan, alu gobi, chicken wings and lamb gyro. Everything was delicious. We ordered MEDIUM spicy and it was just right amount of spice for my taste. All this came to about $73. Been driving pass this place and finally got to eat here. Order (door dash) tiki masala, samosa chat (get sauces on the side), and the cauliflower. This is the best Indian food in the area and I try to get it delivered as often as we can. Also, the staff that work here are always over the top nice if you ever have to get them on the phone to fix something. The service alone is five stars each time I have called. There's no ambiance to speak of so I don't think you would go here for a fancy meal and I actually don't even recall seeing indoor seating...we always get it to go and it's good! Order it! read more

The food is really pricey now for what you get - both quantity and quality. They charge dine in prices for the curries and appetizers- while serving below mediocre food and small quantities. Ordered from here a few times and really enjoy it. We might've tried all their veg dishes by now and have enjoyed them all. Where suburban Indian spots frequently lessen the spice in their dishes to suit local tastes, Bombay Hut seems to avoid this. Or at least it gives you a choice: their "medium" has a slight kick to it, just enough to enhance the food without really being hot at all (to my taste). It's nice that the curry but has spice and flavor, instead of being just blandly creamy or whatever. Note: their time estimation is... not the most accurate. If it's a Friday evening and you order online, don't show up early. If they say 45 min, probably you'll be looking at a 55-65 min wait. But if you know that going in, you can plan accordingly. Silver lining if you do show up early and end up waiting is that you can watch the kitchen -- it's a bustling open space with a wonderful smell. read more

My wife and I are on a quest to find the best Indian restaurant under 30 minutes from Waldwick. Every time we try a new place we order tikka masala w/ shrimp, chicken curry, garlic naan, samosas,  and typically add 1-2 new dishes we haven't tried before. We're on our 3rd spot in the area and so far Bombay Hut has been the best so far. Everything is cooked perfectly and their dishes have the right about of spice and plenty of flavor. In addition to the quality food, the service has always been good and the delivery person has been very pleasant. The place is strictly a take-out place which is unusual for an Indian place but that's ok. What's strange however is last time we placed an order on their site for later delivery, it never came and we had to call an hour after the scheduled delivery time to check on the order. I'm not sure if that was a fluke, an issue with ordering online, or an issue of scheduling a later delivery. Hopefully they work that out though. The only thing I've had that was disappointing was their lamb samosas. These are full of ground lamb and some peas but is fairly bland and dry, it definitely needs more seasoning and some sort of sauce and binder. read more

It was a no meat Friday during Lent and we decided to try this newly located place. My parents and I ordered 2 veggie Samosas garlic naan bread and paneer makhani for us to share. The prices were low for the giant portions. The food was perfectly cooked and the veggie samosas were light and flaky and not dense at all. The garlic naan was buttery and flavorful. The paneer was the star of the show. It was a giant portion full of spices and flavor in a cashew sauce. I will be back. read more

I'm not sure with the stars because I'm not sure with the food anymore. I keep giving them chances and every time they lack on something different, with each time building upon the previous downfall. Initially I stopped ordering the wings because they were not marinated and this only had started once they moved locations so I did not see a point in ordering $20 wings that did not taste good. I was actually able to make them myself at home and make them better. Every time I order extra meat I feel like they just give me a bigger to go Tupperware with a massive amount of rice and the same amount of meat that someone would get for a regular order. Their flavor has gone downhill since they have moved and prices have just gone up which shows we are all just paying for their rent because they think they are in a more desirable location. Upon first arriving, I stood at the counter waiting for a greeting or someone to approach. I saw that my order was ready and just saw the people of the establishment sitting around in the back. I stood there for a good 5 minutes. A little unusual when you should be anticipating someone to pick up their food. Now the food: Lamb delicious, masala yummy, Naan tasty. The portions were weak, considering the price. The rice pudding and mango lassi were both terrible and disappointing. They both had a plastic after taste. The mango lassi is sitting among many pre-made cups. It was mildly chilled and like I said tasted like straight plastic. It seemed like it had been sitting there for more than a day. The rice pudding was undercooked and also tasted of plastic. Both were thrown out. Overall the experience was ok. I would stick to the hot foods and overlook the sweets & pre-made drinks. read more

One of my favorite Indian restaurants around! I always get the garlic naan and chicken tikka masala when I go here and they are both amazing! I always ask for my food to be spicy and the chicken tikka masala is always the perfect level of spicy, where it has that nice heat factor. I've also tried the tandoori shrimp and it was amazing! They don't have seating here so you can only order for takeout. This is my family's favorite Indian spots as well, my sister's husband is the one who told me to try this place out - he couldn't stop raving about it. I wish I had tried it out sooner so I wouldn't have missed out for so long! I definitely want to branch out from my usual order next time I go, and I have no doubt those dishes will be fantastic as well. Good Indian take out. Walked in 5 minutes before closing and they didn't turn me away. Good customer service. Ordered a samosa and the chicken tikka masala entree. Everything was made fresh to order. Got my chicken tikka masala spicy. The samosa was good, and this is probably the cheapest and best samosa I can get near my house. The chicken tikka masala wasn't terribly spicy, but it had a good kick to it. Next time, I'll order it extra spicy. My favorite Indian dish, chicken biryani, was not on the menu, but it was on the specials board, so I'll try that next time. read more
