My 2 friends and I were there this past Thursday 5/21. The drinks were delicious and the owner served us and made the drinks. He was so friendly and patient. We took a long time to decide. It was early afternoon so it was very quiet but perfect for long conversations among good friends. Appetizers were above average. Seasoned shoestring French fries, chicken stripe, jalapeño poppers. We tried going here for a Matcha Iced Latte and were stuck waiting for 10 minutes to be serviced. The person was rude so I dediced I no longer wanted to get a drink from here. Bomboba is like playing a high-stakes game of "What Did I Just Order?" The variety is insane--milk teas, smoothies, raspados, Vietnamese Che, halo-halo, and even appetizers. The menu makes me feel like a kid in a candy store... except sometimes the candy is not what you thought it was. As a Filipino, I was thrilled when I first tried their halo-halo--it tasted exactly like the real deal from the Philippines. Now? If you squint sideways and use your imagination, it kinda looks like halo-halo, but every time I order it, it's a surprise remix. Ingredients get swapped out like it's a Build-Your-Own-Mystery experience, and they never tell you until it's already in your hands. "Oh, we ran out of ube ice cream, so we threw in... a different ice cream. And also, no flan today. Hope that's okay!" The flavors are generally good, but consistency? Never met her. One day your drink is amazing, the next day it tastes like a cousin of what you ordered but with a different personality. The only thing that stays the same are the milk and flavored teas, which, honestly, feel like the safe zone in this adventure. For the price, it's a bit of a risk, especially when the taste lottery doesn't always go in your favor. Walking in, we were hit with the vibe of the place--it's pretty extravagant with huge booths, a bunch of flat-screen TVs, a foosball table, neon signs, and some cool tile on the walls. We ordered Cajun fries, jalapeño poppers, and a couple of pudding drinks: brown sugar milk tea with boba and coconut coffee with boba. Everything was super tasty and perfectly crispy. The pudding drinks were so creamy and even had flan inside! I'm not really sure why some people left bad reviews. The only thing that stood out was our cashier who had a bit of an attitude when I asked about one of the items since I hadn't tried it before. He was okay with us but rolled his eyes and acted rude to other customers after messing up their orders. They have fresh durian in the drink. I know some people don't mess with it but to have fresh durian is a place on another level. If you don't like durian they have an extensive selection of drinks and snacks to choose from. Giael helped us and was a chill dude when the whole process of ordering suggestions and even helping me box out my friend who tried to pay for me. I didn't want to leave a bad review but I think it finally needs to be done. I've been here multiple times and have had a bad experience every time. The establishment is poorly ran and they are very inconsistent. I will no longer be coming back here. In my previous experience, I told the cashier that we needed the ice on the side for all four orders because I had an hour drive to get home (because of traffic) and didn't want the ice to melt into my drinks/dessert. She says "ok ice on the side", and proceeds not to add the request to the order. I remind her "can you make sure it's ice on the side?", she says "I know". I sit and wait ~30-40 minutes for my order and they finally bring it out with ice in every order instead of on the side. I let the gentleman know that I told her multiple times that I needed the ice on the side and he gets angry at both the cashier and I. No apology or anything, they take the order back and take another 15 minutes to remake my order. So I waited there for almost an hour for four simple drinks. It's almost comical. This time, my sister picked up drinks for us and I ordered the Dragon's Eye. It's supposed to come with tons of fruit and jellies but instead it just has tapioca pearls and basil seeds with a really weird aftertaste from the drink itself. Not drinkable whatsoever. Not worth the prices, not worth the poor service, and not worth the poor quality of drinks. read more

This has become one of my favorite Boba places to go. But it never seems to be open. There's a sign that says they don't open till 2 PM but on yelp and the side of their door it gives earlier opening times. I actually came by right now and I could see people in there but the door is locked. Nobody's opening it I even tried to wait around a few minutes to see if maybe there's still opening but there was no attempt to open, so I ended up leaving. It's a little disappointing since this is really right next to my office. I really wish they kept their timeframe that's by the door that says I think they open at like 930 because I could grab Boba at work. Normally I grab it at 2 PM but here I am and nothing , I even drove bye earlier like around 12 and the light was on and everything but I didn't have time to stop by to see if they're actually open so just feels a little chaotic. Which is such a disappointment I'm sure I will change the review the next time I come and I actually can get a Boba from them. I'm just kind of getting sick of never knowing what time they actually open because I really love their brown sugar, milk, Boba. So if anyone from this company wants to let me know what the actual hours are because it seems to be all over the place so if anyone from this company can let me know what the actual hours are more updated the hours on yelp until then, I feel like I might have to find another Boba place. read more

This place is honestly a mystery. They have countless flavors which is usually a sign that they don't do any of them well. The three times I've gone, I've had buyers remorse, and regretted spending that 9 dollars afterwards. All flavors (I'm pretty sure) are powder and with no fresh fruit. Yet the winter melon milk tea tastes the same as the taro milk tea and every other milk tea. And like other reviews have said, they are insanely slow. There has only ever been one person in the store when I've visited and it still takes forever. Sometimes a kid won't appear from the back for a few minutes after you first step into the door - it once took 5 minutes for someone to emerge to take my order, so I was in there alone for a while. The ambiance is colorful with lots of huge tvs, but it really makes me think they dumped all their money into the furnishings and are skimping on everything else. I was greeted by friendly staff in this modern little cafe with plenty of seating. I ordered a matcha green tea milk tea with boba. It was really good, and the boba was cooked through. I came back a few days later for the halo-halo. This was a real treat! Tasted just like my Mamie Jean's in the Philippines. The only drawback was too much jackfruit and needs more beans. I went today and paid 10.25 for a large boba and it's not large (more like a medium). I asked for blended honeydew boba and the cashier charged me 7.50. When I noticed that he gave me milk tea I went back to the store to have it change. The cashier told me I had to pay additional 2.75 to blend it (which I agreed and he said it won't take long. Very Cute restaurant because they do have a full food menu. The decor is definitely a vibe, I love the yello couches they are very comfortable. My boyfriend & I had a Taro Milk Tea w/Boba $7.50 and a Vietnamese Coffee $8 - which I did think was a little pricy this is the most expensive bobas I've had here in Arizona (recently moved from L.A). They also put the smallest piece of durian ever on top of my Che Thai Durian (see attached picture). It doesn't taste that great either Their jasmine milk tea is diluted. Not recommened. There's a foosball table, lots of seating, board games and hip music = chill vibes all around. They keep their pricing pretty average.
