Honestly tropical smoothie cafe serves such great food. It this very location that is the problem. It has to be the managers or people in charge that haven't done a good job. I've gone on numerous occasions and they don't have a list of ingredients. The cashiers are super nice about it and offer alternatives but it's still surprises me there's a list. There was a problem with their AC and I still haven't gotten a refund and am unsure when I will get it or if I will get it because I ordered online. Customer service is lacking but I don't expect much from kids. However every time I've gone they are always out of inventory or don't have it prepped and are unable to serve it. When I got a smoothie with acai in it and an açaí bowl, they both tasted RANCID. I don't know if they're using old/spoiled product but it is disgusting. Could definitely improve their customer service, we order to eat in and the lady wrote the order as "to-go" and she never even asked. We were sitting down waiting for the order to be ready and she brought it and threw it on the table and rolled her eyes as she walked away. Normally I'm a huge tropical smoothie fan. Will always take their smoothies over any other smoothie shop. I usually like their Buffalo chicken wraps but the last two times I have gotten them, they have been lacking. The veges are on one end and the little chicken and cheese are in the other. I placed an online order for an Acai bowl and added peanut butter and removed the coconut and chia seeds. The bowl was made incorrectly so I politely asked them to make it again. The young man was making another order so he asked the young lady with blonde hair in a ponytail to remake it. She was doing something near a trashcan and did not wash her hands before remaking my food. She proceeded to take my bowl and get a paper towel and tried to wipe the chia seeds off the bowl. When she couldn't get them off she sat the bowl aside and started a new one. Still without washing her hands she cut up the banana and added the fruit to the top of the bowl. She went to put the lid on the bowl when I reminded her that I added peanut butter. She went to put the lid on again when I asked about the honey that comes on the bowl. She then told me that management states that if I add peanut butter and pay for it they substitute the honey and the bowl no longer comes with honey. I asked her to explain it to me again because I didn't understand why the honey wouldn't come with the bowl if I paid for the peanut butter and honey automatically comes on the bowl. She stated "I don't make the rules and it's on there now so here." Since these are young kids that clearly don't get it I just took the food and left. Needless to say I won't be eating the food because proper sanitation precautions are clearly not happening at this store. I am extremely disappointed as I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. However, I will not be returning to this one ever again. I see that you have a business customer service representative reply to each review. Please know that I already submitted my feedback to the link/corporate office. First time visiting this place and it was pretty good. I had the green looking one. Just enough sweetness without the overbearing sweetness. The juice was filling and I didn't feel hungry for several hours. The customer service was good and filled with smiles. I couldn't really figure out if forced or genuine. I had food on my mind. The ambiance was the one I still can't really put my finger on. I almost felt like I walked in to an old lost Orange Julius in some mall from the 80's. Like a piece of plastic dressed in wood grain and trying to pass as solid wood. Like a New Yorker wearing a cowboy hat in Texas saying "howdy". What really got me was the bathroom and crowded hallway leading to bathroom. Check out the photos and you'll see what I mean. I kept trying to find faults in the drink and taste but I couldn't. So, I'd like to try it again but maybe a different location to see if maybe it was the set up of the store or that particular location. read more

Just finished ordering an Island Green Smoothie and Beach Bum Smoothie and the customer service was horrible. I walked in there and no one acknowledged I was there and no one said welcome or anything. I had one worker pass right in front of me and acted like I was invisible. Maybe I had an invisible suit on or something happened when I walked through the door. I noticed a horrible smell that was like a punch in the face as soon as I walked into the store. It smelled like wet mop, dirty grease trap, burnt spaghetti and underarm sweat all mixed together. It was bad andI was glad I called in my order so I did not have to stay in there that long. I hope I don't get sick and I probably won't go back there again. The smoothies we purchased are good but with the horrible smell coming from the inside has me questioning the sanitary standards of this place. Be Careful..... I know I said I was never going here again but I went back because my wife wanted me to pick up an order for her. I walked in and there was still no greeting but the guy was making a smoothie so maybe that could have been the issue? I would say always be aware of your surroundings at all times if it was me and 1030 pm. I walked up to the pick shelves got my drinks and went home. Last night was the first time I stopped into this 19 yea-old smoothie chain and all I can say is... where ya been all my life!? What a great company! Tropical Smoothie Café (TSC) started National Flip Flop Day, a Tropical Smoothie Café holiday on the third Friday in June, to raise money towards Camp Sunshine. They have raised 3.7 million dollars so far. Wow! I love it when people give back and I'll try my hardest to make it out to a TSC this June 17th for Flip Flop Day. For my first TSC smoothie ever, I ordered the Avocolada Smoothie [avocado, pineapple, spinach, kale, coconut & lime], I also had some of my gal pal's Chia Banana Boost with Strawberries [coconut, almonds, dates, cinnamon, whole grain oats, chia seeds & roasted banana with strawberry], and some of my other girlfriend's Mango Magic [mango, pineapple & non-fat yogurt]. Sharing is caring, right? I loved to Avocolada and the Chia Banana Boost with Strawberries the most! Mango Magic is something that would surely be great for the mornings but after a lovely dinner with the besties, the Avocolada and Chia Banana Boost with Strawberries hit the spot. This TSC is great --- 24hrs, bustling with lots of people, and the staff is really friendly. I probably waited 5-10 minutes for my smoothie so we were in and out of there in the blink of an eye. So yeah, hop onto their website and find the nearest TSC near you! They're fresh, the quality is great, and don't forget to peruse the supplements and add-ins! If I could give minus 10 stars I would. We went today at 7:30pm to Goodyear location. We placed our order with a very friendly girl(unfortunately none of the employees wear name tags). I ordered two smoothies, three humus wraps with no rice. Instead of rice I ordered beyond meat (vegetarian). I also ordered a turkey sandwich and asked if the meat can be replaced with beyond beef. She replied "yes." The order was placed and I paid exactly $43.51. As I was sitting I noticed another girl making a sandwich and she was putting bacon in it. I approached her and asked "did you put the bacon in my sandwich." She answered "yes". As I started to ask her to remake this sandwich due to the fact that we are vegetarian she started yelling at me and being very aggressive. According to her she would just remove the bacon from the sandwich and it wouldn't change anything. I politely asked her again to remake it, she just walked away and threw the sandwich and told me "I'm not remaking it". I was trying to explain to her why it was wrong and it doesn't make sense to add a vegetarian substitute but keep the normal meat. She starting getting all defensive and said that she is more knowledgeable than me because I'm just an "old lady." After that I simply asked her what her name was and she snobbishly replied, "it doesn't matter what my name is!" A young gentleman who was working there told me that her name was "Jayla" finally after I had asked a few times. I asked the girl who took my order to refund me for the four sandwiches as a I did not take them. She refunded me only $26. I had to ask her if two smoothies actually cost $17. Then she had realized she only refunded three sandwiches. She couldn't provide another receipt, because she didn't have paper in terminal. Hopefully she did process full refund and I will not have to dispute the charge. Overall, I had a really bad experience and felt really disappointed to have been humiliated in front of my daughter. If your business doesn't support vegetarian life style or your employees are not trained enough you need to advertise that, so people on special diets or food restrictions will not be humiliated like I was. read more

SOOOOOO disappointed with my most recent order! I placed an order on uber eats about a half hour ago and I just knew I had to say something immediately. Normally love grabbing a quick smoothie here before work. Visited today after a meeting and did not have the greatest experience. The staff seem to be bickering amongst themselves. One staff member had placed a paper, hand, written sign on the door, stating online orders only. As soon as a customer entered the doors he proceeded to yell across the store that they would only take online orders. We witnessed this twice. He must not have noticed us come in because a young girl greeted us at the counter and took our order. There were also handwritten notes on both bathrooms stating both bathrooms were out of order. I have a feeling that neither bathroom was out of order but rather that staff didn't want to clean the bathrooms. I called the store to let them know it wasn't made right I was told "well you can bring it in as evidence and we can make you a new one" not one I'm sorry for the inconvenience etc. this place is about 5 miles away and I can't just drop what I'm doing to go back and get a new one.
