That's a du riz sos poi noi with griot. Look how they give you the food. Trash.

Okay! I ordered from this place like 3 times cause it's close to where I live. Customer service is trash and for the food the food is okay! But the presentation it's 0. You ordered a food 20 minutes they told you 12 minutes that's on top Of the 20 minutes when you come to pickup your food the food is not ready. They're so cheap with the food and they have no respect for customers this girl call Daphné I seriously don't know why she still working there cause heyyyy she has no customer service skill at all. They need to do better with customer service and stop being cheap with the damn food.

This place really is a hit or miss. I don't come here a lot but when I do usually they are good..nothing to write home about but edible nonetheless. The portion sizes are questionable but that goes for a lot of Caribbean restaurants. My last visit I was offered homemade passion fruit juice that blew my socks away however my chicken patties were severely dry.

Tassot, rice & beans, salad, and plantains. They were out of the macaroni and potato salad

This place wasn't bad. The rice was alright and so was the fried beef that I ordered with it. I had a side of plantains added on and purchased a whole container of pikliz (super spicy cabbage slaw) because I'm addicted and need help. The container of pikliz for sale was in one of those containers that companies use to sell powdered beverages. I'm pretty sure they just rinsed them out and put the pikliz in it -- true Haitian style. LMAO. It was $8 and not even worth it. Maybe $5 would have been justified. It tasted okay.. but wasn't super great or anything. Actually. it was a little too much on the vinegar side. I should have tasted it before buying it in bulk but it's whatever.

This is where this garbage food belongs

It's totally my fault for not looking at yelp first before going into this horrible place. They refused to give a refund after I asked them nicely their griot did not taste good !!!after their food has been sitting there all day and I've seen them microwave it ,they don't even have forks only spoons made for toddlers,I don't understand why it took them about 15 minutes to prepare the food even though it was already cooked ,the girl at the front desk was a complete lazy moron,Haitians or anybody else do yourself a favor and don't go there ,they are a big disgrace to Haitian food.

My friend and I were looking for a place to get a good and filling meal before skating at Chez Vous and between the three options we narrowed it down to, this won. They have a parking lot for about 7 cars which was very convenient - street parking is also available but just more of a hassle. It smelled so good when we walked in. We tried to figure out the menu, but had some questions. After clarification, it made sense. They offer small, medium or large plates and vary in price depending on the type of meat selected. You can also add double meat or combine meats for an additional charge. We couldn't really see the food because of the condensation on the glass, but from the crevices, everything looked incredible which made it hard to decide. I would say there were about 20 different options of meats. I had never had ox tail before but I felt comfortable letting Flames do the honors of changing that so I chose that. I picked the rice with brown beans, steamed veggies, and oxtail. The really piled everything on. The prices are a bit high, with oxtail being the most expensive, but seeing that you can get two servings from a large plate, it doesn't seem so bad in the end. My friend had the yellow rice with curry chicken and cabbage salad. He also bought an Irish Moss drink which tasted a lot like egg nog. We had the food there. They have about 5-6 tables, each with two chairs, but or some reason the tables are all slanted down so just be careful of food or drinks sliding. The rice with brown beans was really good; midway through I tasted coconut and loved the sweet and savory combo. The ox tail was very tender and the sauce it was in was rich and tasty. The veggies were slightly over steamed but still good. My friend's curry was good. While eating we realized they sell patties as well as desserts; they have a case with these treats. I would recommend coming here for a freshly cooked and big meal. The customer service is also good. They had a sign on the bathroom that it was only for employees so just keep that in mind.

There wasn't a single dish in there that I didn't like. The chicken was tender, the stew and legumes were flavorful, the rice was well cooked, the tostones were crispy, and the sweet plantains were truly ripe. I honestly wish they had a combo where they could do three mains and six sides cuz I would be into that! And a special shout out to the compostable packaging. Loved it.

Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, there was a little lack of coordination in the service but not so much that it detracted from the overall service. I decided to order the fried chicken, hoping for a flavorful experience, that Creole food is typical of, but I was sorely disappointed to find that it was completely devoid of seasoning--absolutely none! The taste was bland, and I found myself unable to enjoy it at all. After a few bites, I realized I couldn't force myself to eat it, so I ended up tossing it in the trash. Given that I was already some distance away from the restaurant at my next stop, returning it wasn't an option. I did take the time to call the restaurant and voice my concerns, but they l didn't offer any form of credit or compensation for the issue, so it only reinforced my decision not to return, as I couldn't see myself taking another chance on a meal that fell so flat. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially considering the hype surrounding this place.

You order first then pay at the end of the line. The folks behind the counter are nice and they give you so much food! I was deciding between the oxtail and the jerk chicken.. but someone mentioned that they have the most tender oxtails here so I went for that. The total was around $23, which seems a lot but this easily is 2-3 servings, so it's really worth the price. The oxtail was indeed very tender and flavourful. The rice & peas were also filled with flavour and cooked well. The cabbage I'm not a huge fan of, but I gave it a try. Will probably skip that next time. 10/10 will be back! Maybe for the jerk chicken.

I was going to go with the carrot since it was easter time but the 2 ladies I asked rated the red velvet higher so I got that. The red velvet cake was SO light and airy I basically inhaled it.
