Stephanie is amazing, I cannot recommend her enough! I have a simple bob and have had the hardest time finding a reasonably priced cut and dry in/around Glendale. Stephanie was such a great find as she's cheerful, reassuring, and always wants to make sure your style looks superb! My short cut was $35 and it looks absolutely fabulous and I will most definitely be back. You can call her number but she recommends texting her at least 1-2 weeks in advance to schedule an appointment. She fit me in at 9am before official opening hours and I was so thankful for her flexibility in doing so! read more

Yesterday, Steph was able to take me on last minute! And what a god send! I previously had a toner that was well faded out and needed a touch up. Luckily I live right across the street and was able to see that she does toners for $45! She was meeting with a late client but was so sweet and let me know it would be a couple minutes. When it was my turn she asked me in depth questions about my hair: "do you have pictures of what you had before?", "what are you looking for today?", and more questions about the specific color I was aiming for. She was so social! We talked the whole time and it was great to have this type of interaction since usually I sit in silence. She was awesome. Before finding BonChic I had the same hair dresser for 15 years. When she retired I went elsewhere and unfortunately did not have a good experience. I had asked for a light brown balayage and ended up a mix of blonde orange and black. I was prepared to box dye it black but went to BonChic for a consult. She took the time to talk to me about what went wrong with the previous hairdresser and made sure my all my questions were answered before we began. We booked an appointment and It was the best decision I made! I love my hair and my daughter now gets her hair cut there too. I had a haircut done by Stephanie and unfortunately it was not what I was hoping for. I showed several pictures of what I wanted . A short bob with bangs that would hit around jaw length when styled (round brushed/curled under). What I got was a very short and uneven cut. Even when styled straight it doesn't reach my jaw...unfortunately I didn't realize the severity of the unevenness until I got home. I had to try and even it out myself, it's still not great but a bit better. I only gave two stars because she was nice and the salon was clean. Very disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Stephanie is the sweetest! She talked to me for a bit before doing anything with my hair to find out what I usually do and what I wanted to do today. She was so friendly and personable and I really enjoyed the experience! I have curly hair so I'm really picky about how it's cut, since I've had so many bad hair cuts. She really understood what I wanted and asked different questions about length, style, and my bangs as she cut. This was also my first blow-dry! It was relaxing and fun, and I feel gorgeous! I have been searching for a good hairstylist for the longest time and I was referred to Wynona a few years ago. I consider myself adventurous with hairstyles. I like getting different hairstyles, short, medium or long. Wynona nailed every hairstyle request. She is very good and knows how to listen to clients but also politely suggests what she thinks is good or not good for your hair. What sets her apart from other hairdressers I met is her warmth. I always feel I am in good hands with her. She is compassionate and understood my concerns. Fast forward to today, I had an event to go to and I needed someone to do my hair and make up. I asked Wynona if she can do my make up and she agreed. I would say that was the best makeup I've had in my entire life. It lasted all night without retouch. It was dewy with a healthy glow but natural-just how I wanted it. She also did my hair and I was so happy with how it turned it because she really brought my vision to life. Stephanie is awesome and a life saver! I went to Bon Chic Salon after I tried to DIY a haircut (YouTube makes it look easy, ha). Stephanie promptly set me up with an appt and was just super sweet and assured me we would fix this. When I arrived at the salon Stephanie took care of me right away and we went over what I was going for and wanted. She made sure to check with me along the way, making sure I was happy and graciously making all the little tweaks I asked for. Not only is Stephanie a skilled hairstylist, but she's also a super cool person that made the experience fun and relaxing. And, the best part, I absolutely LOVE my hair. Stephanie at Bon Chic Salon does not disappoint! I went in for a Brazilian Blowout because I have some pretty curly hair that gets somewhat frizzy, especially at the beach. This is the second time I went to the salon. The first for a Brazilian Express and this time for a Brazilian Blowout. For my type of curly hair, I prefer the Brazilian Express because it still leaves some volume as opposed to the full Blowout, which leaves it with no volume. That's my preference anyhow :) . Steph is a pro who explains the process in depth with a great deal of expertise in her field. I highly recommend. read more

Shout out to Bon Chic Salon!! Stephanie the owner (27 year old entrepreneur) runs a clean modern salon! Mom budget friendly yet you feel like you treated yourself! She is great via text (communicates well), collaborates with you on the cut, stayed late on a FRIDAY night just to cut my hair becuae I have 2 kids under 5 so its HARD to get stuff done for oneself..she even paid my parking meter (customer service) $30 cut and blow dry and kids under 15 are $10 read more

Where do I start? This place is located down the street from where I work. Three of my co-workers had gotten their haircut here. I really liked what I saw so I decided to make an appointment. I highly suggest making an appointment because it secures your spot and you won't have to wait. I got to my appointment a little early and Stephanie was finishing up with another client. Once it was my turn, Stephanie was really open and welcoming. She talked through in detail what I had in mind for a long overdue haircut. She asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. Throughout my haircut we chatted it up like we had known each other for years. Highly recommend. Stephanie is great and an amazing stylist. I moved and had to switch stylists last year and I'm so thankful I found her. I always leave so happy with my highlight and cut. Her prices are fair and the salon itself is welcoming and in a good central location with easy parking nearby. We are a new Salon and new to the Glendale area. Our name Bon Chic Salon is a expression used in France to refer to a subculture of stylish members of the Paris upper class. They are typically well-educated and well connected.

My name is Stephanie, I am the Manager and part-owner of this Salon. I have been doing hair since 2010 in Mexico. I grow up in San Fernando Valley and started my beauty career in Mexico while I lived over there for a few years.I finally was able to open this amazing salon in this beautiful city of Glendale, California . I was already warned that digital perms would take a long time so she told me to block out about 3-4 hours. Before starting anything, she checked the health of my hair and also talked through cutting my hair before starting the digital perm process. I appreciated how she knew what lengths and the type of haircut that would best suit me as the digital perm would grow out in the future. I also showed her my digital perms from the past that I liked and didn't like (from other salons that I had gone to) and we were in agreement as to what kind of perm, length, and shape she was going to aim for. She pays great care to details and even made sure that she had the correct intensity of chemicals to make sure that she preserved the health of my hair while perming it. I really appreciated her taking her time to make sure that she was thorough and careful to make sure that this was going to be worthy of my investment. She explained each step of the perm process as she was doing each step. She takes great pride in her work and wanted to make sure that she was also satisfied with her work. Although it was a long morning, she took great care to make sure that I was comfortable and even offered coffee/beverages while I waited. Eunice is so incredibly sweet and is so much fun and easy to talk to. Digital perms in general are pricey, but it's because there is a lot of labor and preparation that goes into perms that are done correctly and done well. I feel like her price point was fair considering her thoroughness and care throughout the process. I definitely plan to come back again next year and I am so glad that I found someone I can confidently trust and go back to for my annual digital perm.

But to be fair, my hair is very short and I'm trying to grow it out so there's only so much difference that can happen. The bad? Double bait and switch. I signed up to try out one stylist and was randomly traded to another. Then after the whole cut was done, she said it took more time (mind you I was there on time and waited) so instead of the quoted price of $95 it would $115! That's not okay! I don't get hair people who balk at people who actually have hair?! Since when do people with thick hair (and mine is short!) have to pay more? The unexpected hike in price tag means I will be looking for other options next time! Too bad really because I liked the place.
