I opted to get their stuffed berry French toast (I just didn't need that big of a portion or even more calories than the plain). That said, it was absolutely delicious. I had an iced latte on the side which was also very good. My husband got the Jersey boy special (Taylor ham, egg, and cheese) which came with fries. Sadly, the Taylor ham was beyond burnt which is why I deducted one star as this isn't a cheap spot and I would expect better. We drove and parked in the lot which was $3.90/hour. It was questionable weather rain-wise so we ate up in the covered upstairs which had a nice breeze.

We came here for dinner last night and we were seated with a direct ocean view. This is one of the few places that is literally on the beach that you can have dinner. It was around 7 PM so there was shade and cool evening ocean breezes We ordered the whole snapper which was a whopping 2 1/2 pounds and the grouper. The snapper was obviously meant for two people because of the amount of rice and vegetables they included with the snapper. It was excellent. The grouper came in some type of coconut sauce, which was amazing. We were dipping our snapper in the sauce for the grouper. If I was to make any type of recommendation, I would recommend adding a side of this sauce to the snapper and that would just make it a perfect dish I had a watermelon Mojito. The drinks here are ridiculously expensive at $17 a cocktail. And it's not like they come in a huge glass. They come in a regular wine glass. They do say that all the ingredients are natural and nothing is artificial, so maybe it's worth it to pay that much to not have a bunch of junk in your drinks. The service was slow. Although friendly. When we arrived, there was not that many people eating so I was surprised when after 30 minutes we still had not gotten the cocktails. Our waiter said it was because there was only one bartender and he was 15 minutes behind on his orders. I find this pretty amazing that a restaurant like Benny's cannot hire more than one bartender so that the people who come and pay what is not really a moderate amount but pretty expensive for their entrées, but still have to wait 20 minutes to get their drinks. It was only for this that I took off a star. When I order a cocktail, I like it brought out within five minutes and not to drink during my dinner. Dinner was also very slow and we got our entrées about 45 minutes after our order. But all in all, it was an amazing experience and we will be back.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, creating a comfortable setting for our meal. I ordered the key lime chicken tacos, which were slightly spicy but very flavorful. The beer‑battered onion rings were exceptionally crispy and delicious. My friend chose the fried grouper sandwich with fries and commented that it was very good and impressively not greasy. For dessert, I tried the key lime pie with a pecan crust. While I appreciated the creativity, it wasn't my favorite. I found the crust less appealing, and the filling could have used a bit more tartness to achieve that classic key lime balance. Despite the dessert not meeting my expectations, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, and the quality of the food and atmosphere made for a pleasant lunch.

We had never really eaten here besides a a slice of pie, but we had a gift card. I went in with low expectations, knowing this place is all about the dock bar destination. We started with the fish dip, which was heavy on the mayo. Not one of the better ones we've had but it was alright. The dinner really wasn't very good. I got the blackened mahi sandwich with fries. Fries were soggy and the mahi was over-salted. My wife had the tacos and she said they were only ok. The side of rice she got was overcooked until crispy. Our server, Alfred, however, was great, and made sure we were having a good time. We'll come back for a slice of pie and/or drinks, but the entrees were disappointing.

That part hasn't changed at all, and I really appreciate that. What has changed, unfortunately, is the food. The egg rolls used to be packed with flavor, hot, crispy, and fresh every time. Lately though, they've been bland, a little greasy, and just not what they used to be. Even the sauces taste different. You can tell something's off, whether it's the ingredients or the prep. It's disappointing because you can see the potential is still there -- the place is clean, the team works hard, and the presentation is still solid. I really hope they get back to the quality they were known for, because Boynton could use that version of World Famous EggRolls again.

There were a couple trucks parked when we entered the shopping center on the SE corner of Congress and Lantana. My husband knew they were not the right ones. We drove around to find the Family Dollar store. Yes! Right where they said they'd be. There was even a picnic table right out front where we could dine. You order and pay at the window. Your food is packed to go which worked out as we brought a few things home. They do a lot of takeout, obviously. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich. I got the rib sandwich. We shared a small order of baked beans. And he also got some banana pudding. His pulled pork was tender. He added some of their sweet sauce to taste. Ate every bit. My rib sandwich was also very good. I had it open faced. Didn't even need to add sauce. And brought a couple ribs home. The baked beans were fantastic. Nice bits of meat and great flavor. The pudding was my least favorite -- I only had a taste, but too many cookies for me. We even got to meet Howard. He came out to check all was good. And later he said hi to a few of his regular customers. He told us everything is "house" made. What a nice touch to meet the chef/founder! I now know where we will come when we have a bbq craving. And I need to try their rib tips and brisket as well.

I chose the tangy sweet BBQ sauce for my meat. Delicious and satisfying. Howard even stepped out to see how we were enjoying our meals. I call in order and it's maybe 2 minutes start to finish - no pleasantries but efficient. I get inside within the time frame and food already packed aside with my name and receipt. I pay and I'm out. The packaging dims the smell but I drive home eager to get into my crawfish. I ordered pound of crawfish, juicy special medium that includes corn and potato. I got pound of crawfish, garlic lemon pepper butter, something milder than medium, two eggs, potato, and corn. All good just no heat. (For some reason only a much older receipt is attached to review.) That order was perfect, the costumer service was horrendous. Service not great now but it shows improvement.

My husband ordered Mofongo stuffed with chicken and peppers and was very pleased with his choice. The portion size was quite generous. I ordered the Chicken de Plancha. My chicken was grilled to perfection and accompanied by plantains and black beans and rice. I enjoyed every bite. Our server checked on us several times during our meal. She was also very patient when we ordered as we weren't familiar with some of the menu items. The prices and portion sizes of our meals were a good value.
