To start, this place is Uber pricey. We stumbled in on a Saturday afternoon and thank goodness it was happy hour, because between the prices here and gas right now, it might have broken the Saturday budget. I tend to be biased with chain restaurants -- Lemongrass has more than a couple of locations in the South Florida area. But the Boynton Beach one is solid. We went here for our friend's birthday dinner, and the food was solid overall. The service was good for our large party, where we were seated at an elongated table with a nicely designed chandelier underneath us. From our seats, the bar was across the way with lounge-like chairs hovering further out from the bar. Food-wise, the fried gyoza chicken was solid and tasty. The toro sashimi was class, as was the foie gras special nigiri. Very savory, succinct, and satisfying, the sushi was. The chicken satay was ok. You can't mess up chicken satay, but it's hard to create something that you will think is the best you have ever had. If you live close to Boynton Beach (or within the area), it's a dependable Asian-fusion restaurant to enjoy. If you live where we do in the Acreage, it's a haul and probably not the first choice you will go regularly -- probably the Wellington location for us. But they have a good operation at the Boynton Beach location. read more

We were greeted and seated immediately on the patio which has a rain and bug screen. They have lunch specials and wonderful variety. Our entrees included an appetizer. You had a choice of a few items: salad, spring roll or Gyoza- steamed or fried. Paul had the LEMONGRASS FRIED RICE 13.95 Chicken, beef, shrimp, calamari, onions, peas, scallions, garlic and egg and I had THAI BASIL 13.95 Chicken or beef sautéed with onions, scallions, bamboo shoots, basil and bell peppers in a spicy basil sauce I had brown rice with it and we both had the steamed Gyoza. I ordered one of my favorite comfort foods from them this evening the lemongrass fried rice that has piece of steak, shrimp, calamari and chicken seasoned well and the rice is so buttery and fluffy. Along with that I got my favorite side dish/appetizer the krab Rangoons. They were a bit oily this time but still yummy and it was accompanied by duck sauce which is the best pairing. Wow. Lemongrass in Boynton Beach has moved around the corner from its original spot- and expanded. They now have a larger patio and a lovely interior with some semi-private looking spaces. Parking on a holiday weekend Saturday night was difficult, but well worth it. Lemongrass has one of the best kids meals menu around. A huge portion, in bento boxes, with a drink (it says sodas but we were able to get lemonades). One of my sons had sushi and the other chicken katsu - by far the largest portions of chicken tenders he's ever been served. Plus, french fries and mozzarella sticks, broccoli and carrots, cut up fruit, and a bowl of rice. A lot for kids to work their way through after coloring the pokemon characters on the backside of the menu. I had a huge bowl of green curry with fried tofu and it was served in a gorgeous bowl. The little eggplant pieces inside were a great texture- and the curry was wonderful. My friend ordered sushi that she described as the best she'd ever had - and insisted I try some. It was true - the fish melted in my mouth. I was seriously impressed. Service was great, especially considering they seemed slammed. Thank you! A very bad experience we have been there before and it wasn't this bad we ordered the ginger beef. There was no ginger. They had to bring us ginger. We ordered brown rice. The menu has variety and i was deligted to find some dishes i have tried before, so I went and tried the edamame (this was a twist sauted with spices intead of the traditional steamed and salted) which came out pretty good and savory, I followed with pad thai with fried tofu and hawaiian fried rice, the pad thai was good an tasty althouh missed the peanut and citrus hint, asking for lime made it better, the fried rice was not remarkable My boy ordered a chicken dish that came with broccoli and tasted good, chicken was tender and sauce was balanced. I really enjoy the attentive and friendly staff during our dinner, who made our dinner pleasant. The location decor is chic and ambiance is perfect for a romanctic dinner ot family gathering. In person, Lemongrass is great, but their takeout feels like a totally different restaurant. I ordered a few nigiri a la carte and the two roll lunch special. First, people should know that the lunch special is not actually a deal. The portions are much smaller than the same rolls in the dining room or on the regular takeout menu. Nothing tells you that, and the word "special" implies you're getting a value, not a downsized version. Second, the rolls were all over the place. Sizes and shapes were inconsistent, the seaweed didn't fully wrap around the already small rolls, some pieces were tearing, and others didn't even meet in the middle. By the time I got home, after a four minute drive, the rolls were unraveling. The rice was gummy and the whole thing was just disappointing. Lastly, the pickup situation is reliably bad. This was my third try with takeout, since they are so close to my house. They use a separate door, and the person running it never seems to be paying attention. She's either on her phone, chatting in the back, or missing entirely. This time, a line of five pickup customers had formed. The first guy said he'd been waiting at least fifteen minutes before she finally appeared and said, "oh shit, there's a lot of people." read more

I kick myself for not coming in sooner other than it being a Yelp perk in the past. I went last night to join a friend of mine and we had a great experience. Thankfully, we made a reservation the morning of since it was busy when we got there. Happy hour was still going on while we were waiting for our table and I got the tropical typhoon. It did the kick and I got the call that the table was ready. I decided to order a couple appetizers (gyoza dim sum and the pork bao buns) for us to share. They have the outside heaters and plenty of outside dining. If that is the vibe you're looking for. We went on a Friday night and were seated at the sushi bar right away with no wait. Although the place was jammed, our waitress was very attentive. I really love their sushi and I think that the quality is very good. I had also been craving sushi so this really hit the spot. My dad ordered salmon that looked amazing and was really bountiful with a variety of mushrooms on top. Lemongrass in Boynton has always been the smaller location in comparison to the popular Delray location. Well, move over Delray because the new Lemongrass in Boynton is the place to be! They just opened their new location and I must say WOW. It's gorgeous. Modern looking bar, huge outdoor area with a nice wall for taking photos, and tons of seating indoors. I came here for dinner and ended up sitting at a small table with big, comfy chairs. It felt like we were in a VIP section! Their menu has changed a bit, but the fact remains that everything is delicious and fresh. I loved the noodles I ordered and was so happy I added meat to them. The portions ate pretty hefty, so I was even able to take some home. Next time you're looking for a date night, give this location a try. When we walked in had to ask if we were in right place. Night and Day difference. It was Big, Open, and Bright. While atmosphere is very important we came for the food. We came in on a Wednesday night and it was surprisingly busy. We got seated right away and ordered lobster pad Thai and beef bulgolgi bowl. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was really nice. The food came out relatively quickly. The food was good but I took one star off because the bulgogi bowl was about 75% rice and the rest was the contents of the dish. A nice go-to if you're looking for sushi or Asian. Newly remodelled, with plenty of free parking nearby. The service when we went was enthusiastic and energetic if not the most experienced. Super friendly, though, and even though the place filled up quickly we still got lots of visits from our server. The happy hour menu was great- be sure to go during happy hour, you can get a sushi roll for 6-8 dollars which is an amazing deal these days! They replaced my drink at no charge after I spilled it through no fault of theirs, and they replaced an entire sushi roll for one of my party because she didn't like how sweet the sauce was. Lemongrass didn't have to do this, but they did! The ambiance and the menu are trying to be upscale, but the outdoor seating area is dog friendly and kid friendly. The decor inside is recently updated and the restrooms were immaculate. I had the red curry and the spicy tuna roll. I am writing to share my disappointment regarding an experience I had during my recent visit to your restaurant. I am a regular customer and frequently order the kids' meal for my son. During this visit, I was not informed that the kids' meal menu had changed and no longer includes fries in the combo, despite the price remaining the same. I only became aware of this after placing the order. When I asked if it would be possible to substitute fries for rice--since I was unaware of the menu change--I was told that the manager declined the request. I then stated that if no substitution was possible, I would prefer to cancel the order altogether. The receptionist went to speak with the manager, but returned to tell me that the manager was too busy to speak with me and that the transaction could not be reversed. I found this experience disappointing, particularly as a returning customer. A simple explanation, flexibility, or even a brief conversation with the manager would have gone a long way. Being charged the same price for a reduced combo and then being unable to cancel the order or speak with a manager felt very dismissive. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration, especially when it comes to communicating menu changes and handling customer concerns more thoughtfully in the future. Thank you for your time. We have been coming here for years (about 15+ years or so) and it never disappoints. The sushi is always fresh, Chicken Pad Thai is delicious and the Chashu Pork Belly Bao Bun is a must. We came here today to celebrate my mother in-laws birthday and the service is always friendly and you feel at home, love our usual waitress. This location recently moved from the west side of the plaza to the east side with a new updated interior design. My family and I love the new location, it's a bit more modern and seems like a more open floor plan. They have a nice bar with special cocktails and great Saki. They have an amazing happy hour menu too (the best in the area IMO), great food selections and drinks for almost 1/2 the price. If you have never been, I recommend you give it a try. read more
