Vegas finally has a solid kalguksu restaurant with a variety of options and at a reasonable price point. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as H-Mart so it's the perfect place to stop in and eat before grocery shopping. I loved the convenience of being able to to order at the table (if you want) via the tablet and even request things like the bill. I thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes and especially loved the spicy seafood kalguksu. We also ordered the perilla one, which was also a hit at our table. If you're a tonkatsu fan, their king tonkatsu is HUGE and was so juicy and delicious. The restaurant is super clean and well maintained. Great noodle place with other entrees as well! I love that it's open so early. I can shop at Hmart when it opens to avoid the long lines at checkout and come eat here before heading home. We ordered the clam dough noodle, spicy cold buckwheat noodle and deep fried flounder. The complimentary appetizer was delicious. I appreciate that our server taught us how to eat it. Even though it was a small side, my favorite was the kalguksu. We did have a minor mishap with our food but it was taken care of immediately. The owners were apologetic and took care of the bill. This was a place that we wanted to try, as they have dough soup which isn't too common in Las Vegas (as far as I know). Fortunately, we also got marinated crab which I would say is the best reason to come here. Soup wise we ordered Spicy Clam Noodle and Anchovy Broth Dough. They both were pretty light in flavor and could use more flavor. The spicy clam noodle was more of my favorite, if I had to choose one of the two. There wasn't anything too spectacular in my opinion. The one thing that actually was pretty good was the Soy Marinated Crab. We actually received this first, and it was really flavorful and well balanced. Maybe the fact that we had this first set a high bar for the soup. And then once we received the soup it fell short. However, when all the stores and restaurants are open, it will hard to find a parking space. Bon Korean Noodles feature soup noodles. There's a choice of noodles and dough noodles. There are about a dozen of soup noodles you can order. They come either non spicy or spicy. I chose the vegetable dough soup noodles. My bowl came out in 5 minutes. Was pretty excited to see a kalguksu place open up in Vegas! Vegas definitely needs it! AND they have sujebi?! Wow! Kalguksu is essentially Korean knife cut noodles and they serve it everywhere in Korea! It's a really comforting dish and it's typically served in soup. They have many variations of it including chicken, clam, pork, beef, etc. Majority of them uses an anchovy based broth to start. My friends and I decided to give Bon a go one Sunday night. My friend and I decided to get their bajirak kalguksu, which is their clam noodle soup. We also got a fried flounder to share. My husband decided to get their wild sesame noodle soup. Unfortunately, we weren't huge fans of the noodle soup. Some of the clam in the clam noodle soup had broken shells so if we weren't careful, we'd hurt a tooth or two. Even though there were a good amount of clams, the broth had no clam flavor at all. You could say the broth was clean, but to me, it was bland. I've had way better clam noodle soup elsewhere. My husband also didn't like the wild sesame noodle soup that much either. While it had a nice nutty flavor to it, it was still bland otherwise. The deep fried flounder, however, was delicious. It had a good amount of seasoning and was our favorite dish of the night. For a place that calls themselves a kalguksu place, they fell short on our expectations. We visited Bon Korean Noodle restaurant after viewing a posting on YouTube. It definitely did not disappoint. We had the Braised Spicy Seafood and the Stone Hot Pot Beef Bulgogi. Both dishes were excellent. The Braised Spicy Seafood serves two, but you can stretch it for three people. Service was excellent. Waiter was attentive and food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. This is my favorite restaurant now. I was sad that there was no place for kalguksu in Vegas, but now I'm so happy that this restaurant has opened. I went here yesterday around 130 with my friend. There were many people but no waiting, so we could sit right away. We ordered clam kalguksu and wild sesame kalguksu. (I loved their ordering system.) For the banchan, we got kimchi, seaweed, and some rice with bean paste. They were all perfect. Especially, the kimchi was so fresh like it was just made. I really loved it. The spiciness was perfect as well. The rice mixed with the bean paste was so good too. For the clam kalguksu, the soup tasted very clean with perfect seasoning. There were many clams in it as well. I absolutely loved it. For the wild sesame one, the soup had a nutty flavor and was creamy. The noodle texture was really nice. It was just like I remember when I had it in Korea. The number of clams was more than I expected too. I think there were potatoes as well. I fell in love with their kalguksu for sure. The service was good, and the ambiance was clean and nice. Sujebi is one of my favorite Korean dishes that I grew up eating and this place did not disappoint! The dough flakes were thin and soft and chewy instead of the typical thick and tough ones I've had at restaurants in the past, the broth is light and delicious and a big serving as well. The banchan (appetizers) they gave in the beginning was new to me, and I enjoyed the barley rice with the sauce (dwaenjang bean paste potentially?), kimchi was fresh, and seaweed was good. I really think this place is a hidden gem. The first time I came here was with my friend, we came in before going to H Mart in the same plaza. We were both amazed by everything we ordered. They don't give a lot of banchans BUT their kimchi is the best I've had in town and I think their sauces are home made especially the bean paste, it's something I have not had in the whole Vegas. Their soup tastes like the soup that Korean moms make at home which was very refreshing to have, it's not super heavy but it's also not bland, the most important part is, they give you so much seafood; definitely worth the price. We also really enjoyed their pork chop, it comes with a huge piece of pork chop and it was cooked perfectly. Crunchy outside, but the meat still was quite tender and juicy not dry. I ended up coming back for the second time and third time within 2 weeks. I personally recommend their non spicy seafood soup, their pork chop and their steam dumplings. Their steam dumplings are huge and again, doesn't taste like those frozen ones. Their service is quite friendly even with us non korean speakers. A great and fun experience! I am a big fan tteokbokki and this comes highly recommended! It's not crazy spicy but it does have some kick to it. The dumplings were alright. We came I believe during their soft opening so it was still pretty quiet, but the service was very attentive and the tables come with a pad for ease of access to the menu and ordering. It is a pretty basic layout without anything visually appealing in the dining floor so the ambiance can feel a little stilted. This is A MUST spot you need to go if you visit Vegas! - Food: authentic broth (deep but clean broth) for both sujebi and noodles. The dough is perfect with proper chewiness. It comes with a whole barley rice which even my 10 year old boy is crazy for. If you want to go one more step closer to Korean authentic food, you should try "녹두 빈대떡" (mung bean pancake)!! It is crisp and the balance between mung bean and pork is perfect. This reminds me of Korea. (Since mung bean is somehow not easy to cook, it is not that common to serve these). I have been craving a ton of soupy foods, I found out about this place through an instagram video, the food looked so yummy I made my husband come yesterday. We called beforehand since it was the day after Thanksgiving just to make sure they were open and the wait wasn't too long. I was way too hungry! To our surprise the guy who answered said there was no wait! This place barely has any decor, not a problem with me. Within the red walls, is nice servers and great noodles. At each table is a tablet to view the menu items, order, call for the server or request for a check! The two guy serves spoke perfect English and was pretty friendly and knowledgeable on the menu items. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the spicy clam noodle soup because of the spice level, but the server assured me it was not that spicy and even gave us a spice reference from one of the instant ramen. I would say it's a bit under a mild spice level. The noodles were cooked perfectly with a slight bite to it. It came piping hot and stayed warm enough to enjoy the whole meal. Because it was so hot though my noodles were getting cooked further and by the end I no longer had that bite to my noodles. It came with a good amount of clams, however some of my shells were empty and I didn't really count how many I took out. While I was pulling them out and complaining, my husband goes, "should have started counting them" The bonchon is limited and a little disappointing because we love the extra side dishes when we eat Korean food! We got kelp with hot sauce and some freshly made kimchi! My husband really enjoyed the kimchi and was a little sad when the server didn't some back for me to ask for another plateful. But he was quite full already. My husband got the sesame dough soup. It was bland for him, so he added salt to flavor. The sesame is a bit on the lighter side considering how gritty the soup looked, he thought it would have been a little thicker. He did enjoy the dough noodle which is hand pulled/cut noodles vs the noodles where it's knife cut. A little opposite of what I'm use to at Chinese noodle places, but that's how it was explained to us. We ordered a plate of Mandu, $6.95 was a bit steep. It came with 3 pieces and it's full of chives and noodles. Pretty good with the sauce, my husband tried without and preferred it with sauce. Btw the noodles came with barley rice and soybean paste.
