Special organic chicken in rice noodle soup
    christopher l.

88 Noodle Papa was such a good find. We got the noodle soup and it was so flavorful, warm, and comforting. The broth had that deep, slow-cooked taste and the noodles were fresh and chewy, just how I like them. Portions were generous too, so we left full and happy. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Vegas. If you love noodles, give this spot a try, you won't be disappointed.

    Hainan Chicken Rice ($17.50)

Finally checked out this veteran Shanghai Plaza anchor tonight. Not too shabby. 88 Noodle Papa is a casual Hong Kong restaurant right around the bend in Shanghai Plaza. My Yelp friend came up with it as a Hainan chicken recommendation, so I decided to stop in to check that out. Parking was pretty rough on a Friday night, but we found a spot eventually. But first, I went with her favorite, the Shrimp & Pork Wonton Noodle Soup ($16.95). This felt like just a good bowl at first, but adding the chili oil - which they provide on the side - really elevated the depth of flavor. The broth then truly becomes craveable. The noodles are pretty chewy and the wontons juicy and tender, although they don't feel inherently spectacular. Watch out for the lettuce hidden underneath too. I ended up having some Hainan Chicken Rice ($17.50) too, which was a good thing as the soup did not fill me up at all. The chicken was nicely poached and super tender, and it worked very well with the sauces which I tried - this time, I avoided the spicy-looking one. The rice, on the other hand, was oddly dry and just didn't feel right. The Hong Kong Style Lemon Iced Tea ($5.95) feels like an odd choice at first, with quite a bit more sweetness than expected. Do not come in expecting something like an Arnold Palmer. But if you drink this in between sips of other dishes, especially the wonton noodle soup, it somehow just works so much better and doesn't feel like it's annoying. Come to 88 Noodle Papa for lunch if you are craving particular dishes. Or maybe over-order on purpose if you show up for dinner. But even in an environment of inflated restaurant pricing, this spot feels a little rough on the wallet for the portions.

Saw this place on Youtube and decided to Uber here for lunch since it's close to my hotel. For 7 years, the restaurant is tugged away in a quiet corner of Chinatown's "Shanghai Plaza", known for its Hainan Chicken and shrimp wontons. * The wontons are all-shrimp with no pork (just how I like it), the broth tastes a little bland (needs more salt or something) * I did not order the Hainan chicken but the shredded chicken salad is the same thing except the added chili oil, jelly fish and cucumber -- a most refreshing dish on a 107F summer day! Highly recommended.

    Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli)

TLDR: It's a very good Hong Kong restaurant that's decently priced. Anything Hong Kong related is good, but the options that don't have Hong Kong origins are less impressive. Fried Tofu: Crunchy on the outside and soft tofu on the inside. It's a touch salty with hints of spiciness. Nice appetizer overall. Curry fishball: A Hong Kong street food staple that is heavily reliant on the quality of the fishballs and the blend of the curry. This place did it well. HK Fried Doughnut: It's basically fried dough. I don't enjoy eating it by itself, but it's really good at adding body to a congee or a great complementary piece with rice sheets. Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli): Clean, fresh, crunchy stem, and an overall easy swallow. The oyster sauce is on the saltier side, but you could just control the sauce portion. Shredded Pork & Century Egg Congee: A thick congee that really hits the spot. The thick consistency keeps the heat in, and it really adds weight to the dish. Century Egg is an acquired taste, and the shredded pork adds the much needed protein. Chicken Curry: Soft cuts of boneless chicken thigh that were juicy. The curry sauce is basically the same as the one found in the fishball. That means the restaurant really believes in their curry sauce, and I think they ought to. The sauce isn't very spicy, but you know they could go higher if they knew the clientele could handle it. Laksa: The worst dish of the bunch. The soup was flat, the noodles were hard to grip, and the stuff inside the dish just didn't hit the spot. Hainan Chicken: The chicken was juicy, the rice was very good Hainan rice, and they managed the portion to price ratio well. I won't say that it's my favorite, but I think it's one of the things worth trying. Milk Tea: We opted to have the syrup separated to be able to control the sweetness. I quickly learned how much syrup it takes to really hit that spot. Ambiance: A restaurant that fits 20 ish, so it's on the smaller end. The rest has your classic Hong Kong restaurant vibe. Service: It's a Chinese restaurant. The service is very basic, and I got no problems with it.

Ordered the hainanese chicken and beef stew rice noodles today! Sensational food. I always love coming here and taking my parents here to eat because the food feels so clean and healing to eat :) The workers are also so nice here! Make sure to get the chili oil if you get any of the noodles

The Serve name is May she's very friendly. I think this is the best Chinese service ever get.

Food amazing servers are great. Definitely recommended to come back here again. I came here for there once I need to soup. My girlfriend told me this is a very intake Uni style food. Also, the chicken rice was very tender and juicy. I feel like I was in Singapore for one second after all this is a great place to visit when you're home sick for Hoang honey style foods and Singaporean chicken.

Everything is good ,it's nice to give a try! We love the hainan chicken and curry beef stew most.

The best Hainan Chicken in town! I'd consider this restaurant to be one of the hidden gems in Chinatown.

Came here with the cousin two weeks ago cuz it was highly recommended by other friend as well. Their hainan chicken was so delicious. We ordered half a chicken plus their yummy rice and added some appetizers. The service is fast paced like normal Chinese restaurant. I say if you want to eat chinese chicken while in LV then this is the place. The place doesn't like a fancy restaurant but you feel like at home.

Very nice and clean inside. Food is also reasonably priced.

Very nice and clean inside. And price is reasonable too. We order chicken soup noodle, and wonton noodle. Tasty. Good!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got seated quickly and this feels as authentic of a Cantonese cafe as you would find in Hong Kong. Very simple decor but clean and tidy. Menu is decent sized, and I went with the beef brisket curry with rice. Food came quickly and is flavorful, but portions are quite small and they definitely charge a premium for how much there was, but otherwise, it turned out good! Not much service was provided or expected, seeing as it's an Asian establishment. They didn't really fill up my water or offered any sort of service other than bringing my food. It's a good spot for a quick lunch and not much more.

We always come to 88 Noodle Papa whenever we're craving Hainan chicken rice and beef curry with rice--they're our absolute favorites! The food is consistently delicious, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The servers and staff are amazing--friendly, welcoming, and attentive--which makes every visit enjoyable. We're also impressed by how quickly the food comes out, even when they're busy. The atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal together. Whether you're dining with family or friends, it's always a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Great food, excellent service, fast delivery, and a wonderful ambiance every time. We highly recommend 88 Noodle Papa!
