So I've been by here every weekend for the past 4 months or so, and I always see it busy in the mornings. I figured it was time for me to check it out and see what the hype was all about, first off the owners were really welcoming and kind, they gave me a bit of history on the place and let me know that the restaurant has been at this location for over 14 years so it's a bit of a stable for people visiting Vegas. Which makes perfect sense now. Unfortunately I was in bit of a rush so I got my order to go. I kept it basic with the Beef Brisket soup which came with a side of rice, kimchi and some dipping sauce. The owner did explain that I would need to season to taste, so once I adding the salt and chili paste as well as the dipping sauce in.... I devoured it. Needless to say I didn't know what to expect my first time trying Korean soup, but it did not disappoint. My parents moved out to Henderson a couple years ago and they are always looking for a good Korean place. (Used to live in LA) So when they found this place and tried it they were super excited. They said it was prob one of the better locations and the staff at the time they said was great. I visited them and we decided to go have lunch on a weekday. We got there around 11ish and there was only one other family there eating. We got seated and our group was 5 adults and two kids. We ordered the ejo soup, beef brisket soup, two ox tail soups and a mixed soup. All of the broth was good and was pretty decent for Vegas. The kimchi was good too. All of the family enjoyed it. I took off a star because the lady that was working that day was not the friendliest. Even at one point when we asked for some extra soup, due to my daughters mainly mixing the soup with rice, she said that's extra. We knew it was extra(we saw it on the menu) and we were willing to pay for it, but she said in korean, "oh that's extra but I will just give it to you anyways." It was the tone and how she kind of assumed that we wouldn't want it if we had to pay for it. My mom was unhappy after this. Another star because the neighborhood isn't the best area, so you feel a little uneasy when you get out of the parking lot. We had high expectations because our friends had been here before and said it was so good. We got there at 12 pm on a Saturday and it was 6 of us. The lady told us we had to wait outside until a table opened up. The place was busy. We waited outside over 30 minutes then finally went in to see what was going on and got seated. We ordered and waited an hour for our soups to come out. I got the Sal lan tang and it was flavorless and watered down. My friend got the rice cake soup and you could taste they used canned chicken broth for it. Our other friends soup was also flavorless so we figured they ran out or ran low on the soup bases so probably had to water down and/or use instant broth. The only thing that was good was the kimchi. I opted for a hangover soup with brisket and sponge and phew, it could probably cure hangovers if I had any. It had good flavor and the side dishes were pretty decent. So would I eat here again if I still lived in Vegas? Every now and then yeah, it does a solid job of satiating that Korean food craving. Has the ownership changed? We've always eaten here whenever we visit Vegas, but this time everything was disappointing. Orders and food were very slow, and the biggest issue was the huge drop in food quality. The ox knee soup portion was less than half of what it used to be, and the meat was tough and poorly cooked. Other dishes were the same. When we asked, the staff responded indifferently. Water was dripping from the AC onto a nearby table. We even came back the next day hoping it was a one-time issue, but nothing had improved. For a place that isn't cheap, the lack of care and quality is unacceptable. One of our favorite spots in Vegas for a hangover cure. Located on the North side of Vegas. The restaurant is clean and staff friendly and attentive. Haven't been here for ages so, we tried various soups::: Ox tail soup::: Awesome!! Dumpling and rice cake soup::: Fantastic! Vegas in January gets really cold. So today for lunch, I went and tried this Korean soup place at E-Jo Korean Restaurant. This part of town can be sketchy for some. If you can find parking in the back, do so. Otherwise, your car might get broken into. It looks closed from the outside, but once inside, lot's of Koreans are enjoying lunch. The waitress greeted me and showed me to my table. I pointed to #10 on the menu: Hangover Cabbage Soup w/ Beef Brisket. After ordering, she came back with a glass of water. 10 minutes later, a series of side bowls arrived: kimchi, rice, green onions, etc. Another 10 minutes later, the main entree arrived...except for the utensils. I had to ask for the spoon, chopsticks and napkins. I first tried the broth: very good and spicy. Then I had the brisket with cabbage and rice: very good, too. The kimchi and radish weren't chopped into smaller portions, so difficult to eat with chopsticks. I've been here twice now and each time I am reminded of how much I love this place! Definitely a must whenever I'm in Vegas. It's located a bit away from the strip but so worth the drive. There's plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant, you are always greeted by the sweetest workers. Food: Big fan of their sul lung tang and their hangover soup. Every time I come to Vegas from LA, I make sure to stop by this place. The woman working here is always incredibly kind and welcoming. The kimchi is so flavorful, and the beef bone soup (gomtang) has such a rich, deep broth -- truly comforting. My 7-year-old son even finished an entire bowl of kalguksu by himself! Can't pass this place when I am in Las Vegas. As expected, it was good. Always get the same menu over and over and can't go wrong with it. It was my first time visit today 12/15/2022 in four years. Thursday in the late morning, only one table was being served. As I stepped in, four more tables were filled. But the service was never slow and the wait was not at all long to get the food on the table. Price has gone up since four years ago, but everywhere else is too. Great traditional Korean dishes and service was excellent. The soups we had felt like we were back in Korea

Wrapped up a weeklong stay in Vegas with some homemade Korean food. Ordered galbi (short ribs) and ggori gom tang (ox tail soup). I liked how they brought out two kinds of kimchi in separate containers so that you place on a kimchi plate along with scissors to cut them in smaller pieces. The galbi had a nice marinade and for the price, there was a mountain of beef. The ggori gom tang was everything I needed to end my trip in Vegas filled with chaos, debauchery, and sin. The bone broth was hearty and soothed my soul the minute I had a sip. Throw in a few mini spoons of salt and add the radish kimchi juice in to add some razzle dazzle to the dish. There was an ample amount of oxtails in the soup. All in all, we were full and satisfied. Parking lot is available in the back. read more

Been coming here 7-8x a year just for the beef bone soup (gom tang) and all the toppings and spices they give are spot on (wasabi soy sauce, pepper flakes, salt, green onions, side of noodles). hoping to try something else one day soon (hangover soup looks appealing and has high reviews). There is a big sign that says to not to keep anything of value in the car, especially noticeable from outside. Plenty of parking in the back and just walk around to the front. I ordered the house specialty beef brisket soup but they do offer many others. One thing I noticed was the price. Actually, I was prepared for the price shock before coming here when I noticed butchers selling beef bones at very high price. Bowl of soup for $19.99 was quite surprising but I was able to swallow it no problem. LOL. Came here on lunch for Saturday and the place was empty other than our party. So service was quick. The soups are presented bland so you can add the flavoring yourself (bean paste, salt). A little disappointed there is no banchan other than kimchi and radishes, but overall still a good experience and would give it another chance. read more

I visited here with a friend on April 8th. We came for a temporary 2 nights trip for a BTS concert. A friend told me E Jo has an amazing Korean soups so we decided to go here. It was quiet when we arrived after 10. I eat Korean food often at home, but a friend really wanted this so why not. We ordered #1 Beef Brisket soup( $19.99) and #2 mixed beef soup ( $24.99). I was super excited about the amount of Kimchi, radish and the peppers. Staff gave us a plenty of side dishes they were big. The peppers weren't spicy according to what staff told me. They were crispy and juicy. Somehow our soups were so bland. We added salt and pepper for 4 times at least it was still watery. I wonder if their soups are very watery to begin with. Other than that, service was pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful. She even answered if walking from the Vegas trip to the stadium is doable. We took Uber to get there since it'll be very inconvenient for us by walking. I'm also thankful she suggested a cafe in Vegas for some coffee fix. I liked this one over the oxtail soup since it has a richer flavor. Meat was nice and tender as well. I prefer my kimchi and radish kimchi sour and here it was fresh made. It's a preference thang. Lots of Koreans eating inside so you know it's authentic. If you've never had Korean oxtail soup and like a more flavorful broth, stick with the hangover soup. The first time we came here because I didn't want pho (been here twice now). After getting the hangover soup, I knew this place would a new addition to the Vegas food rotation. Hangover soup with brisket (note: the sponge is blood). I love this because it's just veggies and thin brisket. Easy to eat and digest! Beef tongue soup is delicious as well. Before the meal came, we were brought a big bowl of radish kimchi, cabbage kimchi, some cut peppers, lots of green onions, rice, and a few sauces to dip our meats into. They ONLY specializes in Gomtang (and no other variety of dishes) which is higher tier version of Sullungtang (I believe the difference is the type of bone/part of the meat they use to make the broth). If you go during weekend lunch time early afternoon there might be a short wait as every darn Koreans and other Asians flock here to cure their hangover. They have limited menu but this is good because what they do they do it well. I had the hangover soup, it's a korean fermented soy bean with cabbage, bean sprouts and some thin sliced beef. They'll give you green onions, raw pepper to eat with soy bean dip and kimchi, cut with scissors and kkadugi (spicy radish). It was all very good. Husband was craving Korean soup. Found this place because of Yelp. Hole in the wall. Plenty of parking because it's not part oof a plaza or anything. All by itself, almost missed it when driving. I liked my soup but my husband did not like this style because you have season your own soup. They have fancy sea salt for you to season yourself. And pepper too. It's like coming home! My mother is Korean and made the most amazing dishes with an eye for beautiful presentations and amazing flavors. Today I was back in Seoul. Reviewing the menu, this is not a single dollar sign pricing menu but it was still a good value. I had the Duc Soup. It's comfort food. Savory soup with duc, mondu, eggs, slivers of carrots and geehm. Came with sliced green onions to add. Side dishes were two types of kimchee, Chinese cabbage and moo kimchee (turnip). Both were fresh. The food server cut the kimchee into bite sized portions. There were two kinds of gochujong provided to dip the peppers. This was very good. The service was prompt and polite. I would give negative 100 if I could. We have been coming here for years - every time we visit Vegas. This week, we had a family reunion and went TWICE... The food is fine and side dishes are always yummy, but there is one petite lady with too much eye makeup who is ABSOLUTELY RUDE!! IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB - THEN LEAVE because you SHOULD NOT treat your customers the way you did - TWICE to us. They specialize in oxtail soup, my favorite dish in the whole world! They also have lots of other Korean staples and classic dishes, and I enjoyed it very much! We ordered the: Sulungtang- Loaded with tender meat and very flavorful broth. It also comes with thin rice noodles to eat together. The portion size is large and comes in the classic stone pot. Pro tip: Eat half of it with the normal broth, then when you're halfway done, add the kimchi juice and add the rice to give it a twist :) Hangover Stew- Loaded as well with napa cappage, veggies, meat, and a very rich soybean base. Perfect to add rice and eat like a loaded stew. The only downfall is that it's really pricey in my opinion but I think it's cause they use quality ingredients. It's a good restaurant! It's a very traditionally Korean place that tries to perfect a couple dishes. Particularly the sul lung tang that's made from bones and cartilage boiled over a really long time. From the atmosphere, we loved seeing the items in Korean both on the wall and in the menu. We felt like we were transported to another place. It's not too busy, most of the visitors seem to be Korean, which speaks to its authenticity. For first timers (we were), it might be a bit difficult to figure out how to eat it (it was). We looked up how to eat it on google so I might not be the best person to tell you how to eat it but I'll try. You'll be given an empty flat vessel along with raw green chilies, jars of cabbage and radish kimchi, as well as a pair of scissors and tongs. What we've noticed the other visitors do is cut up the pieces of radish, cabbage kimchi, green onions, and chilies into the empty vessel and mix everything up. And now you have a delicious side dish. As for the sul lung tang, at first sip it might be bland but after seasoning it with plenty of salt, it becomes a soul warming soup. The meats you can dip into a salty sauce given to you for extra flavor. I also put plenty of green onions into the hot soup. In between sips of soup and bits of pickled kimchi, it's quite an amazing meal. read more
