I hired Bonafide movers to work for two hours: carry 10 pieces of junk furniture out of my house and put it in my dumpster. They worked for 35 minutes and left the furniture lying in the driveway and refused to put it in the dumpster: "you need to pay us more to do that". Then they left. Shawn and Jordan were absolutely wonderful with some very difficult moves of hundreds of heavy transfile boxes from an office location into a storage facillty for an office archive project, requiring a lot of logistics, sorting and accuracy. The move involved two large flights of stairs, changes in plans and an unexpected need for additional hours in stifling hot weather. They were responsive, communicative on arrival times and on requests for additional bookings. I would highly recommend them. Their services were excellent. read more

Unprofessional! Made the appointment, agreed On the time, I paid the deposit and the day of the move they needed to push me back because they had a job that was booked online in error. That's what I was told by the owner. I wasn't pushed back once but twice. It was supposed to be a one day move & it turned into a 3 day event. 1st day pushed back and rushed to move some of my things, 2nd day unable to get to me this day because they were still moving someone else. The 3rd day they moved majority of my things & left a small carload worth of items that they said couldn't fit in the van. (They were informed of how many rooms & items that needed to be moved and stated they had no problem having to do multiple trips if they needed to but they shouldn't because it wasn't a lot of items. If they wouldn't have pushed my time back, take on other jobs at the same time, & then try and rush me they would've been able to pack the van properly and they would've been able to do it in the 2 trips. The items that couldn't fit they left behind and refused to move or help me load them in my car. They also wanted to charge me an additional $400 and stated they couldn't move my things to the proper rooms because they had another job . They said they would come back and move the items to the proper rooms and put my bed back together. Well it's 7 months later and I haven't seen him or heard from him since I refused to send anymore money. It was unprofessional to show up hours late, promise to come the next day then cancel the day of. To top it off on the 3rd day he calls and says again he will be there in the afternoon because he hadn't finished moving the clients from the day before. BUT TOTALLY LEFT ME HANGING!! he started me first & had no problem putting me to the side. read more

I would highly recommend this company. Tyshawne and his crew are exceptional and very professional young men. They arrived on time, started working right away, they were very cautious with all of my belongings. They wrapped everything and made sure that all of my furniture was completely protected. Furthermore no scratches on any of my belongings. They were very polite, respectful, and organized. They made my move from Haledon to North Haledon STRESS FREE which is what I was looking for. I rarely post a negative review, but I am making an exception in this case. I hired Bonefide for a scheduled move on 11/15/2019 and paid a deposit of $272.50. Unfortunately, the occupant of the apartment I was supposed to get changed their mind and it was no longer available. I called to cancel the move on 11/04/2019 and spoke with Tyshawne. He was very understanding and said that they would make an exception and return my deposit if they could book another job for 11/15/2019. Even if they could not book, they were still willing to refund $100. of the deposit. I contacted them on 11/15/2019 and they were in the middle of a job, which made me very happy. Since then, I have emailed and called and they do not respond at all. Very disappointed in them. I had explained to them that I could not afford to lose that kind of money since my only income is Social Security and he seemed to be understanding since the cancellation was not my fault. They may be good movers, but their ethics are questionable. read more

My experience with them was just terrible. If there was 0 stars, I would give that. Please do not hire them. I found them through thumbtack and it has all good reviews. (Guess what- the professional has to request a review from a customer to allow them to write a review, no wonder all the reviews are good). This experience has left me with trauma. Even thinking about this makes me all so stressed. I told Tyshawne about my stuff and everything initially was good. One day before the actual date, I sent him a picture of my stuff. He shows up next day, very polite and nice. We had one couch and one bed to disassemble and reassemble. He said he will do that. He started disassembling the furniture and just took forever. First of all, they started late. They reached our place at 10 am. Then took forever to put everything in the truck. At around 3 pm, he told me that he thinks his truck will not fit all the stuff that we have!!!!! Why did you not tell me this as soon as you saw my furniture? Then he told me that he will not be able to move all my stuff. Who does that?!!! Still, I was desperate. I said ok, lets move all the stuff that can go. He refused to put more stuff in his truck. He did not know how to pack stuff. there was still space in his truck when he said that he can no longer pack anything else. This is only the beginning. When we reached our destination at 6:30 pm, he refused to start moving stuff into the apartment unless I paid him rest of his money. It was almost like a blackmail. I told him that i just need my stuff to be reassembled. He said that the contract does not cover re-assembly. He left all my furniture unassembled!!! I have never heard anybody doing that before! Then he asked for more money because it was taking him longer. I did not want to pay him but I just wanted my stuff to be inside my apartment. I pleaded him to please re-assemble my furniture. But he wanted to leave by 8:30 pm. I could only do so much with a toddler. My husband was driving in later with a car full of stuff. I kept of giving him money and he just kept on taking advantage of our situation. He told me he will come the next day to fix my furniture. Ofcourse, he stopped picking up my phone the next day! I knew he was lying when he promised me that he will come the next day. Is this professional? Absolutely not!!! On top of that, some of my boxes are also missing!!! I did not figure this out immediately, but as I started unpacking I realized that I am missing some of my stuff that I had packed but cannot find them anymore! I trusted this person and he just cheated me. So, my job was not completely done, I paid more, and my boxes are missing. Please do not hire this person if you care about your peace of mind. read more

Hired this company to help me unload a moving truck in Palisades Park. They confirmed with me date and time a week before the move. Day of the move, two hours before the agreed time, they cancelled on me. While I was already on my way from out of state. Don't hire them unless you like scrambling last minute to make new plans. read more

Shawn and Jordan totally saved us today with our move. They did the job last minute, were very quick with all responses/communication and were amazing. Professional, extremely polite, kind, friendly, and clearly experienced at what they do. These 2 did a fantastic job at helping not only load everything up into our truck, but doing so with a ton of awareness of wrapping and packing every one of my items so that they would be safe and not be damaged.
