Big. Spacious. Green. Clean looking !!!!! Wow. What a hidden gem. We took the youngsters here after a big lunch to get 'em moving. I googled local parks and came across this one. This is a really nice park for kids. There are two playground side by side. One is for bigger kids (see photo) and the other one are for smaller kids (see photo). What adds more awesomeness is that there are gates that you can manually close in the little kids play ground to secure them inside. The luscious greenery next to the playground offers anything from soccer to volleyball or whatever your outdoor mind desires. First time here but we will definitely be coming back!!!!! read more

This is a very well kept park with a restroom lotta green grass and nice play area one that is also gated in beautiful trees and shade and also dumpsters for trash, recycling and regular dumpster and a dog bag area. read more

Nice park located right next to James Madison Elementary School. It's kinda hidden, if you don't know the area, you won't even notice it. I found this park on my bike rides through San Leandro, mostly going and coming back from the Marina. It has small, rolling hills, a play area for the little kids, a play area for the big kids, lol, restrooms and a bbq area. A nice retreat if you don't want to deal with the crowded Marina on a warm weekend. More like 3.5 stars to me!! read more

Bonaire Park is a hidden gem of San Leandro. When the popular Marina Park gets too crowded, you can find ample space to play, relax, and dine at Bonaire Park. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 5 other groups around. There are ample grassy areas for you to have a nice picnic and it's easy to find shade under the trees. another perk are the rolling hills, which adds to a nice landscape. Next door at the elementary school, there are basketball courts where you can play ball. I definitely would be back again! read more

I mean, it's a public park... with grass and trees, a public restroom and a parking lot. Why 3 stars? It's hard to get a parking spot on a busy day since there's only a few spots left. The restroom could be better. It's freakin dark inside even at day time and it's so creepy if you try to go there by yourself. Don't they have a light inside or something? Tried to find one but couldn't find it. The park itself isn't as big as the other parks around. it's right by the school and a residential area. I've been here 2x for a kids birthday party. They have enough chairs and tables around for public use. The entrance to the park is freakin hard to find. I got lost 2x following my navigator because it kept making me go to weird places. One on the side of the park near the residential area with no entrance. They could've made a bigger and more visible signage for the park. read more

I hold this Park near and dear to my Heart. Its my neighborhood park and I trimmed some of the trees in the park when I worked on the Crew.

Great park. Safe for kids. Hardly anyone there during the weekdays. My sons school had their end of year party here and I've also done a maternity photo shoot here too because the hills and grass and trees are nice backdrops for photos. My kids love the playground. There's one for big kids and one for smaller kids that is gated. Highly recommend this park for your kids. read more

Bonaire Park is off Juniper and not too far from manor ave. it's a picinic oasis in the industrial/residential areas of the marina district in the 'dro. amenities: -4 picnic area with table/benches and bbq's set up(can be booked) or is it first come/first serve. read the signs. instructions listed. -kiddle jungle play area -softball field -baseball field next door part of school -lots of greens to rest on -clean bathrooms. -parking for 20ish cars. -little traffic passes thru. little noise -away from major streets, freeway. read more

Peaceful little park - it has all you need: swings, bbq, playground, lots of lawn. Your whole family will be happy here. Bring your kids your dog and explore a bit. Its a neighborhood park that usually attracts just the immediate neighbors but there is something nice about this slightly underrated park. If you go to the San Leandro Marina park it is always so busy that you might enjoy this one more given it is more peaceful. Given that there is only one exit you as a parent can hang by the front and let the kids loose without worry. That can't be said for Manor park for example. This area seems to have very little rif-raf in the first place. read more

My little one calls this local gem Ninja Park(not sure why) and requested an afternoon visit yesterday. She has graduated from the tot play area to the big kids play structure. She had a blast making new friends and climbing all over. We were one of three families in the park. It is quiet with plenty of seating on benches, the lawn or on the planters near the big kids' play structure. We celebrated her 2nd birthday here so it does get crowded on weekends with parties and ball games. read more

Great park not crowded at all like the San Leandro marina and very easy parking. Lots of picnic tables and shadey areas for hot days. 2 playgrounds one for younger kids and one for older. Also plenty of grass for relaxing. I love this place read more

Great park that's hard to see from the road. It's really tucked away and surrounded by fences, so your kids can run (more) freely without you having to worry about traffic. Larger and smaller play structures for older and younger kids. Large grassy field and nice public restrooms. The sun looks amazing over the treetops that surround the playground, and there's a hummingbird or two that hover and watch what the people are doing. Very happy place. read more

I love this little itty bitty park because I love my teenage memories here. Nowadays, it's a pit-stop on my jogs. I love how it has awkward hills, a full jungle gym and some picnic areas. I think it even still has a horseshoe court! lol. How oldschool. And dogs LOVE the running space. For those here for bball though, there's no court. You're gonna have to sneak into the elementary school next door, which I don't recommend you to do; you'll destroy their innocence. read more

5 stars bc it's a beautiful day and I'm here with my hyper daughter and she is killin the play structure. Lol Beast Mode ^-^ I found a nice shady spot to read my book and enjoy. There are bathrooms here, and a lot of parking. Easy to get too. A pretty decent play structure, one for big kids and a fenced area one for the kiddies. Glad I discovered this place. Brought my toddler here to meet up with some friends since this was the halfway point between our homes. I like this park! They have a teeter toter (my son loves that they do), 2 play areas (1 for older & 1 for younger), a big field & RESTROOMS! Yes they have restrooms & they are kept in decent order. My son really liked going back & forth to both play areas. read more

A small wonderful neighborhood park attached to a school & Little League field. Good for a walk around. Has some play structures for the little ones. Some picnic areas have BBQ. Very busy on weekends do to Little League as baseball park next door. read more

It doesn't have a huge field to play a a legit field game of any kind, but a small game can, but there's a school next door for a huge game. great park for both little ones and older ones. there is a set area, fenced off for the 2-5 year-olds, complete with baby swings. there is another, larger area for the older kids and a larger grassy area with baseball field behind it. it's right behind the James Monroe elementary school, so it's pretty mellow before 3pm and then after about 4pm it's chill again. it's clean, residentially located, and usually not crowded. read more

Great park! Its never really crowded. Great fenced off area for toddlers. My kids are 6 and 4 and live coming to this park. Also has clean bathrooms which is a plus. read more
