I usually stop here for the restrooms, which are usually pretty clean, and the water fountain. The basketball courts and baseball field belong to the school, not necessarily the park, but can be used during non school hours, I think. Nice small park!

Its off a side street that most would probably not drive down unless they are taking a short cut to the one little shopping plaza. I like the park because it has lots of street frontage. Its very green and well taken care of - as is most of the housing nearby. I'd say its a good place to take kids and it won't attract too much of a crowd wanting to do things out of view of others. It's located right next to the 880 Freeway, but because they put up that freeway wall to keep the noise out, it's relatively quiet here. The wall makes you forget about all of that! With it's infamous 3 towering flower structure that offers beauty and shade, you can't miss it!! While there are the typical play structures found at typical parks, Greenwood has a number of musical instruments to play with and enjoy. The park has plenty of seating areas and also has BBQ grills. There are restrooms available but I can't speak on the conditions since I haven't actually used them. The park is spacious, clean, and is the perfect spot to relax with a snack or have a full blown paaaartay!! 5/5 stars, my family and I love everything about Greenwood!!

Big newer homes are on one side and then trailer park homes are on the other side. Its a public park and no matter what you pay for rent or where you live it is here for you to enjoy. The one problem I saw was the basketball hoops. They were like tiny lakes. For whatever reason the concrete contractors messed up. They made little swimming pool instead of flat concrete that doesn't puddle up. I've bounced a ball in a tiny pool of water... and let me tell you - its one way to end the fun. Great little park for all residents of Hayward. Worth a little drive to get to.

I'm a big girl but it's always fun to play a little bit on the ellipticals or the machines. There was a little bit of construction going on just near the exercise equipment last time that I was there... Not sure exactly what they're doing though. Still there's something about being outside in the sun while exercising that just makes it more enjoyable to me personally. I like to walk the shoreline with my dog and check out the views. There are always people picnicking and fishing or just hanging out in the parking lot. It's definitely a decent place to spend an afternoon if you just want to relax and enjoy some time with friends or family in good weather with good views.

After parking, if you can find a spot, the first play area includes a trampoline, climbing structure, a wide metal slide and an oversized musical chime. To the right, a spacious mesh swing spins with kids constantly filling and spinning it. Directly in front is an ample sand area with a brick barrier surrounding it. To the left are three picnic tables. In front of the sand area is the smaller kids play area which is directly next to the restrooms and water fountain. To the left of the little play area is the zip line. When you go further in to the park, there is a covered area with lots of picnic tables and seating grouped together, more benches and lots of grass to play and explore further. There are paths to ride bikes, scooters, roller blades and skateboards. During warmer weather this park is packed. When we visited, following a prior event, there were already lots of kids on a gray, windy, overcast day. This park is spacious on the interior but parking on the exterior is limited. The parking lot is minimal for the amount of space to explore, which is awesome but makes it difficult to navigate up close parking. Street parking is not really existent unless you enter on the opposite end of the park.
