We were excited to check this place out given the high reviews. Service was decent, but the food was a big letdown. I know this is a chain, but in the mood for chicken, we decided to give this place a shot. We ordered wings, seasoned fries, bulgogi and potstickers. Now, one would think that we would be asked how the food should be brought out; we weren't and assumed the apps would come out first, followed by the lone main dish with the side of fries. Nope! The fries came out almost immediately: what are we supposed to eat them with; not a standalone item. Then the potstickers came out. Quite a long time after that, the wings and the bulgogi. My coworker does not eat spicy foods, so we went with the soy wings. The wings were cooked perfectly, but lacked any flavor whatsoever. If there was any sauce on them, must have been fried off. The bulgogi had no taste; just cooked flavorless strips of meat; accompanied by white rice. We ate most of the food, since we were not planning to go anywhere else and the menu is very limited in terms of ordering something else. We chalked it up to a one time visit adventure. Then we got the bill and realized, not only did we not enjoy the meal, but the tab for two; including two fountain drinks was almost $100. This is arguably the best Bonchon I've been to. I've tried many locations but this has been an amazing dining experience. All the waiting staff were extremely kind and the wait for food was shorter than most. We ordered 30 wings - 15 Sweet Crunch and 15 Soy Garlic. They tasted so good seeing the short notice. I would have to say they paired very well with the Pickled Radish. The name might sound unappetizing to some foodies, but promise me, they match perfectly with both types of wings. In fact, they were so good, we ordered 10 more after. We also ordered the bulgolgi sliders, which are a bit pricey, but overall worth the price. In conclusion, I would say that all aspects of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. read more

The first time we complained about the bad timing- we accepted the apology. The second... accepted again. This time- "give me my food." I give them maybe one year. Between the fickle residents of this area, the subpar service, the ridiculous rent the developers charge for this location, AND other options (ChiMcChicken)... they may not be here much longer. I've come here before with my friends and family, but this was the first time I came in with just my mother. My mother is a picky eater, and always wants the spiciest thing on the menu. When the Bibimap was not spicy enough, the wait staff did all they could to accommodate to her tastes. They brought out a spicy red sauce, peppers, and even the spicy sauce used on their wings. I really appreciated how nice they were and I know she appreciated being able to eat her food in accordance to her own palette! I regret not getting a name, but I'd like to thank the man who was closing up the store on the night of June 28th, 2021 for being the sweetest person alive. My sister and I were both busy til late and had to quickly find somewhere to eat. Bonchon closed at 10 and it was around 9:15, so we quickly placed an order over the phone and walked to the restaurant. We arrived a bit late, 10 minutes before closing time, but the man was the nicest and not irritated that we were late whatsoever. It was a hot and humid night, so we decided to sit down outside and eat. The man noticed and asked us if we wanted water, then brought us cups of water, napkins, and wipes for after we finished eating. Then he brought us two bottles of ice cold water, free of charge, which he said was for the walk home because he was worried it would be too hot. First time at Bonchon. I have passed by it a number of times outside, but never quite sure what it was. So I decided to go inside and give it a try. I had the soy garlic wings with a beer. The wings were excellent! Nice and crispy without them being greasy. The only reason why I did not give it five stars was because I thought it was a little bit on the expensive side for 10 wings and a beer and my ticket came out to be $22. The servers were incredible and very nice, friendly, and guided me through the whole ordering process. I would definitely give them five stars. read more

We've been going to Bon Chon for years and Centreville is our go-to place and was excited one opened in SR. Tried this place 3 times to give it a fair review. Here it goes... First try - Just the drums came out and they said the wings will be out soon. However I saw them giving wings to 3 other tables that came after us so we flagged them. They said sorry it'll be out then we saw them giving to 2 other tables!!! Seriously!!!! AND we got the kimchi coleslaw and OMG the portion was a joke, literally less than half the portion we get from Centreville!!! But one of the waitress noticed and brought out more. Lastly we also got fries. It came in the cone container and barely any fries (barely filled to the top), but we saw other tables with so much more fries! First experience was horrible but since they just opened we figured we'll give them another try. Second try - We ordered a carry out. Again we ordered the kimchi coleslaw and it came in those little black condiment container! Seriously for $3 bucks! What a ripoff!!!! Lastly - We decided to give it another try... Again the drum sticks came out first (very annoying). There was no passion to their cooking, the chicken skin for the wings were all so soft and barely crispy and very greasy! C'mon that's the best part! We really wanted to like this place but nope sticking to centreville even though it's much further! First time at this location. But I've been going to Bon Chons for 10+ years, from Herndon, centerville, Arlington, sterling, and Leesburg. And this was by far was sad. Service was nice and friendly, however the food was Meh. Ordered 20 piece strip soy garlic and seasoned fries. Was informed that the spicy sauce that comes with the fries at every other location was extra. Then comes the chicken, it was inconsistently cut so there was pieces that were 1/8" at one end to a 1/2" In The middle. Causing the breading to be mushy and fall off and the chicken was tough. Then manger came over we told him it was real though and he said they had a new staff that cut the chicken to thick and he would remake it right, told us 6 min. So we took him up on this, 10 min later it came out and again was the same and this time some of the pieces had no breading on them. He came back to check and again said it wasn't good. He said "we knew the cut the chicken wrong and since we had already had prep done we are just using it". So they knew they didn't do it right but put it out anyway. Very friendly staff that came to check on me during my late lunch to ask if everything was okay and see if I needed anything. There were two other customers there besides me at 2:00, so service was quick. I ordered the lunch special Bon Chon chicken wrap with spicy mayo and a side of seasoned fries. The wrap was a modest portion size that was perfect and didn't make me feel overly stuffed. Love the spicy mayo and fresh slices of avocado inside. For a new establishment, they were eager to please. I've always been a huge fan of Bon Chon. I hope they stick around for a long time. read more

I'm a fan of this Bonchon because of one reason only. They're consistent. They were a little weak during their first couple of weeks in business but they have rebounded to provide consistent quality throughout their menu. Now, I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I only ever get the boneless chicken - though their spicy is exactly what I want when I'm thinking spicy food! Also, if you taste the soy garlic and say you don't like it - you need to have your head examined. Before placing an order, I was informed that chicken wings and drumsticks might not be as crispy as it should be with in-store dinning. Nearly fifty minutes after entering the restaurant and sitting I had to ask for my food. I was already late for my meeting so I had to box up my food as soon as it was delivered.
