The wings are definitely crispy and the soy garlic flavor is solid, but the spicy didn't have much depth beyond heat. Tried a couple fries and they came out a little stale and soggy. Service was nice but slow, and the wait felt longer than it should have been. Not bad if you're craving Korean fried chicken in the area, just not special enough to make me want to go out of the way for it.

The food was great the wings were crispy and fresh. My wife's tacos were great too. The slaw as creamy and crunchy just how we like it. Ice cold beer made our evening. Services was a bit slow but the waitress made us aware which I appreciated.

There was no wait when I came here on Sunday in the evening. It didn't take long for me to place my orders. The waiter was nice enough to suggest which flavors were highly recommended and how many would be filling enough for the amount of people there were. I ordered the buns, soy garlic and fries. The chashu buns weren't too bad which surprised me. The sauce they used on it was delicious. For the size of the pickle and chashu, it was pretty decent for the bun. I really liked the soy garlic flavor and the chicken pieces were fried on order! The skin was crunchy and the meat inside was well cooked. The fries were also fried perfectly and freshly made. There are space for small or big groups of 4.

I think it's time to update my review on Bonchon Pearland. I gave them a go years ago when it opened and have not been back since. It just didn't wow me and there's just too many other options in our city to go back to mediocre food. A friend and her husband are Bonchon fanatics who go often so I reluctantly decided to join them for dinner. We came around dinner time on a Friday night. Parking in the area sucks but not their fault. We were able to be seated right away, but shortly after, it got packed. They also have a bar set up, but we didn't partake in happy hour or drinks. Customer was great. I'm a big wing guy. It's one of my comfort foods. Korean fried chicken is on another level when it comes to wings. They usually twice fry with a light, but extremely crispy coating. Bonchon nailed it this time. I got the small wing and drum combo. For the price paid, I felt I got my money's worth when they served the large plate of chicken. The drums were large and juicy. The wings were kind of inconsistent as far as size goes. I got their original mix of soy garlic and spicy. I loved both flavors. This time around, the flavors were very pronounced and tasted even better as leftovers. The spicy was my favorite though. The combo came with a side of slaw or pickled radish. I got the slaw and it was a nice bite with the hot chicken and a great way to reset between flavors. I also got regular fries and they were nice and crisp and seasoned well. It took me awhile to get back here, but I'm glad I gave it another go. I will be back!

Very sad bibimbap. I wouldn't recommend

Food sucks. Sad onions, white mushrooms instead of Asian mushrooms, the tiniest bit of spinach, sauce is very loose

Onion rings are HUGE and crispy!

My sister surprised us on our family day Sunday with a trip to this location. She was making up for getting the the restaurant mixed up with a local Mongolian spot on our previous family day. We were able to find parking really quickly, behind the building, and the restaurant wasn't that full during lunch, so we got some good seating for three. We were welcomed by the staff behind the bar and a waitress came out, answered questions that we had, and also suggested some items for us. We all got the Chicken Strips (spicy). My sister ordered onion rings as an appetizer for the table and they were anazing! They were HUGE and crispy! The meal was better than previous experiences at aonther location and thre staff gets stars for great service!

I could already see well over ten empty tables from the entrance--and I couldn't even see the entire restaurant. Since we had a movie starting soon, I politely asked if we could be seated at one of the open four-person tables. It wasn't as though there was a line of people waiting behind us. Instead of a courteous explanation, the hostess literally rolled her eyes and replied, "I'm just asking you to wait 10 minutes," in a tone that suggested I was the unreasonable one. Apparently she possesses the rare ability to predict exactly when every table in the restaurant will finish eating. Either she's secretly psychic, or she's far more optimistic than decades of restaurant experience would lead me to be. My husband was understandably irritated by how dismissive and disrespectful we were treated, so we left. Fortunately, Webster is overflowing with great restaurants, so we weren't forced to depend on this establishment's version of "hospitality." Customer service costs nothing, but apparently eye rolls are complimentary.

I'd be back, though next time with more of a crowd so we can try even more of the menu.

You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.

The broth was flavorful but not overly salty, which worked perfectly for cooking the meats and vegetables. The beef slices were thin and fresh, cooking quickly in the broth and staying tender. The vegetable platter was generous and included a nice variety like cabbage, mushrooms, tofu, and noodles. One thing I liked was the sauce bar--there were several options like ponzu, sesame sauce, garlic, and chili so you could customize the flavor exactly how you want. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff explained how to cook the ingredients properly, which is helpful if you're new to shabu-shabu. The only small downside was that it can get a bit busy during peak dinner hours, so you might have to wait for a table. Came in with a group of friends for a late dinner and wanted to order a lot of meats. We ended up ordering 12 meats to start off for the three of us at one of the tables but only ever got 7 of our meats. Wasn't the biggest issue, and I was still fine at this point. For the next ~20min after we finished our meats, I see our waiter walking around, helping out one table at a time and then just dip, not seeing them for a long period of time. Eventually, the lady working at the front desk helps us order our meats, and our waiter comes out 5 minutes later to ask us if we need anything. I don't really know what happened here, everything still tasted great, but waiting this long to eat more really just kind of ruined the vibes of this meal. Hope my next experience is better.
