Ordered online at 12:43 pm for pickup. Arrived at 1:12 and gave my name for my order. Gentleman went into kitchen and came back out to inform us it was still working. The bags in the photos were our order and ready since the time we arrived. Was not busy in the dining area. One of the gentleman in the photo came to ask my name again at 1:43 pm and handed us those bags in the photos that was our order. Will not be ordering at this location again. Not great. We went here because the Pickett road location closed and we were hoping it was the same. We ordered the chicken strips with soy garlic and boneless wings with soy garlic. Never again. The chicken strips were not the same strips at the other locations. I never understand why different Bon Chon's have different types of tenders. This is a terrible business practice. It should be the same tenders at every single Bon Chon. The lack of consistency is irritating and frustrating when it comes to chain food establishments. The tenders were dry, breaded chunkily, and barely had any sauce. The boneless wings were okay but the sauce was barely coated on the wings. Rice was ok. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location. I rather make the drive to the Arlington or Centreville locations as they are very good. Bon Chon, please do better. You guys have awesome food but you do not make sure the quality, consistency, and customer service is the same across all locations. DO BETTER. read more

Love the food, and the staff tonight was not the problem. But the total chaos that befell this place on Super Bowl Sunday was preventable and horribly managed. The staff was working hard but when you're 30+ orders behind, maybe stop taking new business for an hour and just accept the loss. I ordered four hours in advance, and even asked if they were ready for Super Bowl orders, but they were at least 30 orders behind even after I waited 40 minutes. Finally, I never want to be a Karen but the reason I'm posting this is because four customers came in without masks and no one said anything. Is the pandemic over? You've lost my business for that reason alone. Again, I'm impressed with the hard work put in by the crew who worked Super Bowl Sunday, but management should have anticipated the rush or offered refunds to clear the backlog. The chicken taste super salty and no where like it used to be! We haven't been eating at Bonchon for a couple years and decided to return here. First the soy garlic wings came out very fast(less than 10 mins) the color of the sauce is very dark and it wasn't hot at all. I've tried boneless fried chicken at a couple different Bonchon locations, but I was really shocked to see how small the pieces were at this place. Almost all of them were just slightly bigger than McDonald's chicken nuggets, and they barely filled half the box they were in. A bite or two per piece. They did taste pretty good, but I don't think people enjoy spending $30 to get 20 pieces of kid's chicken nuggets. read more

We fell in love with the Fairfax Circle (Old Pickett) Bonchon Chicken location years ago. While COVID put an end to that location, the same family has opened a sparkling new outlet at what we old-time Fairfaxers call the Kamp Washington shopping center on Lee Highway in Fairfax. On a recent Saturday we visited the new location for a leisurely lunch. A spicy fried chicken combo with pickled radish and kimchi coleslaw is our go to choice, and we were not disappointed. That said, we saw delicious looking dishes such as Japache (glass noodles with marinated rib eye and soy garlic sauce) and pork buns arriving to delighted diners at nearby tables. Bonchon has beer on tap and we rounded out our meal with a Sierra Nevada Hazy IPA. This location is family owned, sparkling new and meticulously managed. Can we say 3 Big Screen TVs We decided to order Seasoned Fries, Shrimp Shumai as our starters, - Amazing!!! - For dinner, we decided to order the Boneless Wings. Boneless Wings are Not So Hot! It looked burnt and also very. very dry from overcooking. I read other reviews about the pieces being small but never burnt. We did ask our waiter if it was supposed to be burnt or dry and he said - No. We did have the same type in the Annandale and Arlington locations, and it was never burnt or dry, but maybe it was a weird night. This was a highly anticipated location opening after the Pickett road one closing...but unfortunately, the chicken isn't the same. Our chicken had zero crispness to it even though we picked it up right away and tasted like the chicken you would eat the day after...it was a sort of a red flag when our order was ready just in 20 minutes. This one just hits par. the one on Franklin farms probably takes last place. This place was pretty darn good. My mom decided to switch things up a bit and to go here, as it opened not too long before we ate here(we ate here a while ago). My first impressions: it was pretty nice. The interior was ok, but HOLY. The music was extremely loud. Like, really loud. Ignoring the overly-loud music, my mom was sort of disappointed that it was a chain. She thought it was a singular restaurant, but even then, we decided to give it a shot, and, it was worth it. The food was pretty good. Given, probably not as good as a family run business, but it was great for a chain. No complaints for here, except the music. The service was good, and fast. read more

I'm not really sure why this location isn't consistent with all the other locations but I was extremely disappointed. Usually when I order a chicken fried rice it's enough to feed two and comes in a rectangular container. This location has circle containers and that's fine but they l don't even fill it half way up. For $15 I would like for my container to be more than 1/4 of the way full. It's a rip off and the chicken tenders look like flat chicken patties with little to no crisp and the breading was soft and doughy when I bit into it.
