I've been twice so far with my new puppy and love it! Every one is very friendly and timely. I love the ability to see all details in the app. The staff was great and called to let me know I had our second visit scheduled too early to get all the right vaccines and were able to get me rescheduled appropriately. At the end of every visit, they walk you through each line item of the bill. They always take the time to explain the reasoning behind each vaccine/procedure they are recommending and answer any questions I have about health, behavior, cost, side effects, etc. HOWEVER docking one star because every time I've been so far the exam rooms have been FILTHY. Like bathing myself and my dog immediately after leaving level filthy. I had to pick up tufts of another pets hair/fur (very clearly several different pets ...) to prevent my dog from eating them. Just a little concerning when they are telling me my puppy is too young /unvaccinated to be going to high traffic dog areas. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are taking proper precautions and it's just because I've had appointments at the very end of the day, but that is my biggest complaint/concern.

Our other angels here are without a doubt our #1 nurse Deann (she is always a non negotiable in our visits) and Jade the practice manger always orchestrates things beautifully for my anxious pup.

He examined my bird with the tech that handled him like the pro she must be, and deemed him physically well. Didn't try to push further testing but let me know if I chose to go that route it was available. Came up with a plan with follow up options. Super nice vet and tech, and with a Sunday appointment! Can't beat that. Lobby was sparsely populated and calm, overall great visit and I am glad to know an experienced Avian doc is so close by. I can't speak to non-exotic appointments beyond the awful experience I had at Angell Waltham with a dog with a neurological problem and a vet neurologist at Angell Boston that wouldn't wait 20 minutes for us to get there from Angel West to have the dog seen. Ended up at Tufts and put dog down. That was a horror show. Agree with what others have said about treatment not being ideal in emergencies!

On March 26th, we lost our beloved Beau, and I am only now beginning to come to terms with this…read moreheartbreaking loss and finding the words to speak about what happened. I am writing this review because there needs to be accountability for what happened to Beau. Beau was a healthy 4-year-old French Bulldog who was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him. He was not "just a pet", he was someone's child, companion, and entire world. My best friend trusted MSPCA with Beau's care, believing he would be treated with professionalism, compassion, and proper medical attention. Instead, the lack of appropriate aftercare and negligence resulted in a completely preventable tragedy. What is most heartbreaking is that Beau went into their care healthy and should have come home safe. The failure to properly monitor and care for him after treatment is what ultimately led to his death. No family should ever have to experience this kind of loss after placing their trust in veterinary professionals. At times, it felt like the focus was more on money and process than on the life of the animal in their care. The MSPCA needs to remember that every animal brought through their doors is someone's family member, and pet owners trust them to protect those lives. We will forever live with the grief of losing Beau, and I hope sharing this prevents another family from experiencing the same devastation. I strongly encourage pet parents to carefully research before trusting the MSPCA with their pet's life.

My last visit would sadly be my last as my family made the difficult and painful decision to put him down. Its taken me a little over a week to write something but I know I wanted to tell everyone about this location. Numerous issues, including a cancer diagnosis, coupled with his old age after a surgery at his home vet. The staff were always so sweet and caring with him. They even managed to entertain him with some classical music when he was a little yappy! He lived a long, happy spoiled life. I miss him everyday. My first pet out of high school, we were almost never apart. I think that knowing he was in the best possible hands near the end helped take some of my guilt grief away. Every single person was amazing and I just know that profession cannot be easy. God, my sister and I cried for hours and we were never rushed. Dr.Silverstone, thank you for always being straight with us but also extremely professional and kind. They contract out to help with end of life arrangements and cremation, if you choose. 'epaws' or something. The arrangements were done quickly but not so quickly that you worry about disrespect, you know? A week later and I have his urn and we've set up a memorial in the house for him. No one wants to think about these things but pricing is transparent and gotten out of the way quickly. And yes, it's pricy but what isn't? This is emergency care. Get pet insurance!!!! Honestly, I would have gone bankrupt if it helped but there is unfortunately a limit to things that can be treated and the doctor said it best: "age is not a disease". So hopefully your fur babies live long, happy lives and that you only have to go for minor inconveniences but if you do have an emergency, this location was clean, professional and fairly easy to get to. I had broken my ankle last year so walking has been a challenge but I got around just fine, even carrying around my 20lb lump of love. Thank you all again. I don't know when I'll be ready for another pet but I don't regret all the years of love. Once time has softened the pain, and years go by, I hope you all stick around and do what you ALL have done so well and maybe I'll see you again...Hopefully under better circumstances. Wishing you all love and peace and kindness.

One time I was sent out to Acton to get a root canal done on my cat. When I got there, the dentist there said it couldn't be done and she just extracted the tooth. For $1,000. I got referred to another place in Chatlestown for something else, because their relationship with the people who had been doing onsite had fallen apart. That one cost me over $1000 too,for something I was told would cost around $250. When I came in for the last few visits, nobody ever seemed to know why I was there. There seemed not to be communication or professionalism. Their prices were exorbitant, too! I really regret not having switched to my current vet sooner.
