The staff and support people are very nice. But unfortunately I cannot recommend Bond Vet. The problem with Bond Vet is threefold. First their vets lack experience. One of the vets at this branch just graduated from vet school in June. Experience is everything with vets. The second and more serious problem is that there is limited continuity of care. The vets cycle in and out. The third is expense. Despite the forgoing, they charge top dollar. All vets are expensive, so get the best. Obtain an experienced vet. If you have to travel, travel. Call a cab. Over time it will be easier on your animal and you will save money. read more

We've been to three different Bond locations and even though we've moved to Brooklyn, we keep coming back to the Chelsea location because of the people. Sophia and Totiana are so lovely and always remember me and my two boys. Drs. Jimenez, Greenspan, and Gorlick have done myriad tests and checkups on all three of my cats. Dr. Jimenez provided the most compassionate euthanasia for my 16-year-old girl kitty, and Dr. Gorlick just neutered the kitten that's joined our family since! I can't say enough about the entire staff here. It's definitely pricey but I always feel that my pets are not only safe but truly loved, played with, and appreciated while they're at Bond. read more

Oh boy where do I start! The incompetence of this place is beyond me. Horrific vets. Horrific staff. Horrific experience. I've never felt so dismissed or unheard by a veterinary office in my life. Every visit felt like a complete waste of time and money. They could never give me a clear answer, never actually helped my dog, and the level of care was honestly shocking. I left every appointment with more frustration than I walked in with. I was treated poorly, spoken to with zero empathy, and made to feel like I was overreacting--when all I wanted was real help for my pet. My concerns were brushed off repeatedly, and nothing ever improved because they simply did not take the time to listen or follow through. The whole experience left me stressed, upset, and feeling completely unsupported. The staff and vet were all very warm and took good care of Mimi. My visit, since I was a first timer was only $25, so glad I was able to take advantage of this offer! The tests and vaccine were all paid out of pocket and were priced reasonable. Just like every vet, they try and push you to do more services. However once I said No, they did not push or persuade (like other places that I have gone to!). It was overall a good visit for Mimi at the vet and would return for their services. read more

I visited Bond Vet Clinton Hill a few months ago for my new Chihuahua mix, and it went fine. I brought her into Chelsea today because of scheduling, and was surprised when they decided to place a cone on her as soon as the vet came in. She was not distressed until they did this-- she was a little avoidant, but could have easily been held. The appt was simple and just checking for hair loss. She became very distressed when the cone was placed on her, and struggled a great deal. There was blood on the table and we realized she had broken a nail trying to resist the cone. Her paw was bandaged and now she has to be seen for a follow up in 2 days. Now we have to keep an eye on her bandage and come back to make sure she's healed from the injury. This felt frustratingly unnecessary. It reminded me of what a friend told me when they recommended another vet clinic to me, saying that some vets prioritize their own convenience over more humane treatment and patience with the pet. It was disappointing that there wasn't an apology, and I think it would have behooved the clinic to write off the exam fee after creating a distressing situation for a pet that led to injury. The vet mentioned the dew nail is easy to break and gets caught on things, but that's never happened before. I think Bond Vet should adopt more consistent practices, because my experience at Clinton Hill was definitely better. (No cone, even though they needed to do a lot more with her). This just wasn't necessary. After this experience and reading RM G's review, I'm going to think carefully before returning to Bond. read more

My family and I went away on vacation and we came back to an injured cat. Now I must admit, while I own a cat I'm not an animal person- but because my kids and husband love the cat I've got to be on board, which means treating her like family....anyway her paw was hurt, she was limping and we couldn't figure out what caused it. After trying to secure an emergency Vet appointment with no success + getting pricing over the phone for about 2 hours we landed on Bond Vet who actually allowed walk-ins. We were happy to secure a walk in appointment with Bond Vet. While the pricing isn't the cheapest, it's certainly cheaper they going to Verg or Blue Pearl ER room who stated just for the initial walk-in (well visit) was $229 plus $250 for the emergency room assessment; then once they assess everything, the cost for treatment would be à la cartè depending on the findings. Imagine we didn't even touch the surface for treatment cost yet ... ( mind blown) Good thing we decided on Bond Vet. We met with Dr. Feriggno who seemed to have a very straightforward, matter of fact attitude initially but quickly was so loving an informative once she began examining my cat Ms. Lola Victory Clarke. Dr. Feriggno, knows her shit. She treats the cat, advises you and answers all your questions. Before treatment was administered the assistant went down everything and asked me if I wanted to move forward before beginning treatment. My cat received a nail trim, a paw soak, 3 days of anti inflammatory medication, antibiotics injections, a cone and the well visit examination plus consultation for $297 (including a $50 coupon I had). For this being an emergency - I was totally fine paying. Lola's nail had overgrown causing her pain. Now imagine, paying $500+ just to find that out and then the treatment. I feel good knowing that my cat was treated with love and care by the staff. The reception and Vet assistant was also very friendly. I was also pleased to see a diverse group of employees at this location because representation matters. Thank you Dr. Ferggino, the new front desk staff (I'm sorry I forgot both of your names but you're doing great) and the Vet Assistant ( I forgot your name too) who took care of Lola. Oh, P.S. I went in bc my dog had GI issues, they charged me $200 and told me to come back with a stool sample. I did and they charged me another $60. Then called me with the results and told me he had a parasite and they could prescribe him meds but they "recommended" I come back with him for more tests and pay another $100+. I felt extremely exploited by the team at Bond Vet. They know that people love their dogs and will try to use that to con you out of money unnecessarily. If you're a Manhattan yuppie with money to burn then I guess this is the place for you, but I will never ever come back here. read more

The only good thing about this vet is the free treat in waiting room and front staff. Everyone is nice until you don't go for the upsell , and yea what an upsell it is . When I went for my yearly visit the first price quote was over $1000 in tests , lab work, basically I was like what needs to be done and why and got price down to $300. In all that testing no one mentioned that another vaccine was need 3 weeks from our day at office and when I went to order his meds they would not refill till after her came back in another doctors visit for $100 plus vaccine. When I said I need a week they would not budge , our policy , our policy, can't do ! Anyway this was the second time something like this happened with them . Anyway I'm no longer using them as a vet for my dog . They are a corporation that has no love for your animal . They will let your dog run out of allergy meds with no care or leniency! Wow! I can't say thank you enough to Bond Vet! We are pretty new to the city and I needed vet care for my German shepherd. I was easily able to make an appointment online for the next day and complete my dogs profile with her previous health records. The office is beautiful and they really go the extra mile to make the visit comfortable for the pet. Everyone was very personable and the vet answered all my questions. Not a very transparent place. I asked about the cost of a spay since my dog is a client and they said "we can't give you an exact price since doctors and nurse usage can change wierd. Also services recommended are higher in price than other vet places. My dog needed a regular heart worm medication and they said I needed to bring her in to confirm her weight when they saw her a month ago she was 12lbs and the weight range for the meds is 12-20lbs come on really. Don't waste people's time. BondVet is too focused on customer acquisition and should focus on care. For the price the vet techs aren't very kind when giving my dog back. Bondvet charges a lot because they pay their young workers a lot. It is also about efficiency and volume of clients a day which conflicts with appropriate care. Do yourself a favor and don't get fooled by cheap freebies from alibaba (literally) and find a place whose purpose is proper care. I brought In my dog back in May - healthy pup who presented nothing but a goose like cough. I was quickly told by the vets here that he had kennel cough, probably caught from doggy day care. They prescribed him a simple antibiotic and advised water and rest will help too. The next day, my dog is still heavily coughing, lethargic and refusing to eat. Two days after our visit my dog developed a fever, rapid respiratory rate, and was vomiting. I took him to a different vet and he was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. Could not be more impressed. Called Thanksgiving morning because my dog had gotten into something the day before and was having a severe allergic reaction. Normal vet (worth street) was closed. Not only did they see Kimbo promptly (drop off due to Covid) , the price for a variety of treatments (steroids, fluids, stool analysis, blood work) was clearly itemized, and cheaper than a normal vet visit! The care is fine -- on par with other veterinary practices in NYC, which is to say they will give your pet good care. The convenience of being able to walk in or book with little notice is nice, the clinic is clean and the staff are generally friendly. It's weird how every time you book online they ask the same "first-timer" questions (like your dog's name) but not a big deal. Specialty care isn't the easiest here. They have certain specialists onsite once a week to do procedures such as ultrasound imaging or echocardiogram but you won't be able to speak to the specialists (I tried to speak to the cardiologist who examined my dog and I was mildly persistent over a couple of weeks and I could not make this happen). My dog is 12 years old and needs specialty care and I am more or less on my own to figure out where to go for specialists I can interact with. But the main thing to be careful about here is to always check your invoices. This is NOT a complaint about the cost of vet care, which is expensive and for good reason. I did not buy pet insurance for my dog when it was still a possibility -- huge mistake on my part but so be it. I experienced multiple instances of carelessness or just Bond Vet procedures not being well managed, leading to me being charged more than I should have been. At one appointment, where the estimate was about $800, I was charged about $1100. At first I just thought -- well, something probably changed once they began the exam. But when I checked my invoice I found I had been charged twice for the most expensive single item on the bill (a senior blood chemistry panel around $300). So, it became my problem to call them, point out the issue, ask if this was in error, and request a refund. They always respond to these mistakes by saying confusing things like asking if you prefer a refund or if they should just put a "credit on your account," stuff like that. I mean -- you overcharged me, it's your mistake, just refund me please. (They did do so in the case outlined above.) I decided to transition my dog away from Bond Vet after the following event which demonstrates their general admin process shortcomings coupled with terrible customer service: I received a survey in my email with a $25 credit incentive for completing it, which I did. I got a promo code for my next appointment, but the website rejected it, which was super annoying, but I wrote myself a note to remember to ask about it in the clinic. On arrival I asked the front desk person about it and she said no problem, it would be applied to that visit. On my way out the door, just to be on the safe side, I politely asked again to make sure the credit would be applied to today's bill and she reassured me again. Arriving home and reviewing the invoice they had emailed me, no credit had been applied. I called the clinic, spoke politely to someone who treated me with the kind of strained patience you might show to a complaining "Karen" (again with the weird options about how I could be refunded $25 or this could be a "credit" on my account going forward, but only a manager could apply the promo code, it might be a problem with their back end... all these details I don't care about; you offered me a credit in exchange for taking your survey, please just fulfill your promise). She said a manager would call me. Spoiler alert, no one called me for three days. Too little too late. I just don't want to deal with this anymore and I always feel bad about myself after being treated this way -- which is just not fair when they are the ones making the mistakes. So I am taking my dog elsewhere. I don't see them as deliberately grifting or anything of the sort, but all I ask (other than good care for my dog) is to be treated respectfully and not have to go over every invoice with an eagle eye frequently finding mistakes in the clinic's favor. There are plenty of other good vets in the city. TL/DR: The care is basically fine but their admin processes or carelessness led to multiple instances of my being overcharged and in the last instance they added insult to injury through poor customer service. I called them on the recommendation of the emergency vet because they are open on Sundays. Even though I was a new patient, they were amazing and fit my pup in. When my dog started to get better right before her appointment they happily canceled and said that if she started to get worse again just call them. I'm going to write this review although I had an ok experience at Bond vet in an emergency a couple of months ago. My dog was in pain and they saw her right away and she was diagnosed and treated. I decided to go here for the immediate future as it's right across from my home. So tonight at 6 my dog is choking and I decided to call first and she says they are "all booked up". Don't call yourself urgent care if you won't take a dog that urgently needs care. She wasn't helpful in the slightest and offered numbers for Blue Pearl and the Animal Medical Center. Why even be an urgent care if you're referring people to other places for emergencies? She did not even seem empathetic about the fact I was terrified about my little dog. That is no that is negative 5 Just go to AMC or Blue Pearl I guess, as they advised. read more

We brought in my dog to be euthanized and they were both so kind and patient with us. They explain everything to us throughly and even gave my dog some peanut butter before the process. Hmmmm, I'm a big fan of the Cobble Hill location because they are super friendly and welcoming but the Chelsea location just rubbed me the wrong way. For a first visit Dr Ferrigno wanted to do every vaccine under the sun, a fecal test, complete bloodworm, a tick test, a heart worm test, and prescribe him a years worth of flea and heart worm medication. I've had 4 dogs before and they've all been healthy and never needed so much before! When I kept turning each suggestion down you can tell the staff was getting more and more frustrated with me and just sent me away. I'll continue taking the train and go back to the Cobble Hill location, the vets there are super warm and friendly and have a sense of humor! read more

My cat had an ear infection so I took her to bond vet they wanted to do all kinds of test that she did not need they said 95 dollars for a check up which they did not do I asked about a lump on her chest and they told me they did not do so why did they charge me 95 dollars for check up if they did not check so what I went there for was the ear infection so they gave me medication which I checked with chewys.pharmacy and they charge me double what the pharmacy said it was Worth my cat is worse now than when I took her when I call to tell them my cat still has the ear they told me to go to another vet because they were booked they charged me 273 dollars for medication and check up and They said they did test and there advice was to take to another vet it looks like the did not even check the ear and gave me something that did not even work I will be careful in taking your pet to bond vet. read more

Pretty bad service, don't recommend. Took three hours in total. Yes, some of it was me deciding on next steps but regardless have never spent that much time at a vet. Then in final moments I asked the vet to check my dogs foot issues and she never returned with an answer. And the vet tech was incredibly uninformed- I'm used to my vet tech being my ace! Will not be returning. Unfortunately have to wait now on the xray feedback from the radiologist. When I asked the technician for his basic cough suppressant medication, which I asked the vet to provide - she was confused, asked the vet and they said they didn't have in house. While I waited outside, the nurse took her inside for the exam, and the vet called me later to discuss results, what shots to get, and helpful info such as what kind of food and what the spay process is like. Had to come here rather unexpectedly because my elderly dog had an ear infection. We just moved to the city from NC so I didn't even have time to find a regular vet, but our experience was so wonderful I will be coming back! They have a great waiting area outside, since everything is drop off right now. Offered me tea or coffee, which was very very nice. They explained everything before doing any treatments and went over the prices. I would say prices are pretty average, and as expensive as any emergency pet visit. I had a really good experience with Bond Vet. I went twice--the first time was especially great. The visit was only $15, the vet was extremely patient and answered many questions that we had, we also got a great goody bag that contained a toy my cat loved. Unfortunately, my cat was still sick after the visit so we returned two days later. This visit was still solid--easy appointment process, all meds were available, friendly office staff, etc. The vet the second time around was not quite as patient--she seemed to be in a rush and her "bedside manner" wasn't quite as solid. However, it definitely wasn't bad and if I hadn't experienced the excellence the first time around I would still say it was an awesome visit. I'd say the pros of easy appointment booking, great hours, friendly staff and transparent pricing far outweigh the slight negative of not having the same vet each time. read more

This place was the first vet I joined after moving to the city. All the staff I met was very kind and informative. You can drop off your pet and then wait outside, or go home and they'll call you when your baby is ready to be picked up. I've done both and they were both pretty fast experiences. Either way while your pet is inside they'll call you to discuss details before and after your pets procedure. Plus they sent me home with a a little toy and catnip once which was such a nice little touch!! Going to continue to go here for the customer service, and convenience! read more

I typically go to the UES location but the day my little guy got sick, the Chelsea location was the only one that had an appointment available. The staff here was super accommodating and helpful, it isn't easy during these times but they did their best and made sure Biscuit had top notch care, which is the most important thing. Because of the great experience I've had at the UES location, trusting them with Biscuit was easy. Of course pet parents want to be them during exams, but I blindly put my faith in their staff. They're extremely attentive and that's something that truly makes all the difference to me -- for that reason I make the journey to Bond Vet from Queens. I'm truly grateful for everyone that helped Biscuit get better and took care of him during his hospitalization! Thank you guys for being amazing!! read more

I am extremely disappointed with Bond Vet's Chelsea Location. Our regular vet is incredible (Heights & Hill on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn), but when they are out of hours or unable to accommodate on short notice, they send us to Bond Vet. We've gone once to the Cobble Hill location and had a good experience there. However, our experience at Chelsea was a nightmare. Our senior cat fell ill over the weekend and we were able to take him to Bond Vet on Monday afternoon. He had a fever and was dehydrated, and when they ran his labs, he had concerning values. While we understand a senior animal has issues, and that there is an appropriate time to decide on compassionate end of life, we felt as if Bond Vet were in a rush to euthanize and did not even consider proper treatment options. Bond Vet gave us the option to euthanize then and there, or to send him to an inpatient hospital for 48 hours at an INITIAL cost of $5000+. They explicitly said he is not a candidate for outpatient treatment and were pressuring us to end our best friend's life. We refused to go along with either of these options and had to insist/demand that they provide him with some fluids and other temporary relief measures while we got a hold of our regular vet. Our regular vet applauded our decision and has been seeing our baby in their office during their business hours all week. His condition has improved significantly, and our vet has diagnosed him with treatable pancreatitis, and said he may have a year or even YEARS of comfortable life if the pancreatitis is treated and there isnt any underlying cancer. Bond Vet wanted to bill to kill our pet, or to receive a kickback from an overpriced and unnecessary cold, sterile, scary, hospital facility. Beware of veterinary urgent care. They do not have your pet's best interests at heart. All they care about is money. read more
