Found them in a state of panic as I just moved back to the city after being in TX for last 12 years. My soul cat, Ollie, was coughing like I've never experienced before and I needed to get him in somewhere STAT. Looked them up online, their closest location didn't have any open times but they still called me to figure out the issue. The person on the other line was very caring and helped me find a location with openings - and LES it was. Hopped in a Lyft and headed there from Bushwick. Place was very easily found, very clean inside, and I was immediately greeted with kindness. My cat has never been this affectionate in a vets office and he could not stop loving on the tech or the vet. After explaining the situation and sounding like a crazy cat mama, the vet was so good and calmed me down and explained everything that I needed to hear. It was very much out of my way but worth it in the end. I am so thankful for Dr. Tong and the two techs I encountered. Finding a vet who actually cares and listens is top priority for me, and despite this being a box chain vet clinic, I would absolutely recommend giving them a try! read more

This is what happens when BlackRock opens a vet- vets who have no idea what they're talking about and then present you with an astronomical bill. Take your pet to a smaller practice! Took my cat in with a swollen mouth, they had no idea what they're talking we're doing, told me he had been stung, then literally knocked my cats tooth out as they opened his mouth. Only then after I suggested maybe it's something dental did they realize it was a tooth problem. Honestly scary. I wonder if their vets are trained at BlackRock or at an actual vet school. read more

I took my cat in for a minor urinary issue and was prescribed a special diet for one month. I was explicitly told that I could continue to give her the dry food that she had been eating; all I had to do was substitute the wet food for the prescription. WRONG. Upon consulting a vet a few months later, when the "almost 100% effective" treatment did not work, I was informed that she was absolutely NOT to eat any other food while eating the prescription food, or the treatment will not be successful. After leaving Bond Vet spending over $800, you would think that information as simple and straightforward as this, as well as completely imperative to her well being, would have been shared with me. NOWHERE was it written in her visit summary, her prescription, or mentioned on the call that delivered the results that this was the case. I was, as mentioned before, told the opposite. These people aren't using their heads for anything more than a hat rack. I gave them one extra star because prior to this, they were pretty good, but this experience was very disappointing and dangerous. read more

Unfortunately just not a good experience. It's so hard to find a good vet. This place feels like a fast food counter for pet health. They are non responsive after you pay them and they give you your results. If you follow up with questions or next steps or concerns they will ghost you. It's a dying art but looking for a private vet vs a corporation like this that's owned by private equity is your best bet. read more

well, everyone in the vet office were very kind. Despite labs and UA of my 19 yo cat, they wanted further $600 testing. the visit cost $500 as it was. I'd taken my cat there, because it was closer, a possible less of a stress than bringing her to my regular vet. I was willing to go for further testing, if my cat's vet agreed. He is seasoned, went to Vet school at Cornell. He had the tests he needed to determine what she needed. she has worsening kidney disease. For me kindness is a huge plus, bedside manner, but diagnostic expertise is also critical, which I found w my vet, not Bond Vet on Broome. They did give me a card to call office directly, but honestly, I think they were tired of my calls to find out results and questions I had. they sent the lab results to my usual vet within seconds. They were truly kind, which I appreciate, poor communication via email. read more

The last place you want to be when your 16.5 year old cat is actively passing away is with a new Vet. Our Vet, St Marks Veterinary closed months ago, without notice. We were devastated. We were happy with them as providers to all of our cats past and present, so to suddenly be-at-sea with who would take care of our hospice kitty when the time came was super scary. Well, that day arrived yesterday, and we called around to vets recommended by friends but for whatever reason or vibe or gut instinct, we turned them down. My husband finally called Bond Vet on Broome St and the heart said, "Let's just go here..." So we lovingly packed up our Sweet BluCat and walked him to Broome St. There we were met by the most loving people, who not only supported us in our hour of sorrow, they showered BluCat with so much compassion, space, and love...and Churu. The Vet, Dr. William Dabri, was incredible. He had gone over the records I had sent just 20 min before we arrived and with compassion and care not only supported our decision to end BluCat's suffering, he backed it up with his understanding of his chart. He praised us for the hard work of giving Blu the best life and doing all we could, This made us feel better in this agonizing choice we had made. We had listened carefully to Blu and he had let us know it was time, and that was a good thing, Blu got spicy as the sweetest vet tech tenderly gathered him up to take him in the back to give him the IV line, and we had to laugh because Blu hated going to the Vet and usually needed Gabapentin to keep him from ripping off arms or hands, So it felt a bit "normal" to see that spice kick in just one more time. They brought him back and he looked resigned and at peace. The team gave us a button to push when we were ready to release Blu, and when that time came, the Vet hid the pushing of the medications from Blu and from us. It allowed us the opportunity to be present and focused just on Blu to say good bye and help him cross that rainbow bridge. The entire team was respectful, calm, and supportive. In the hard moments of life, the measure of compassion and empathy is the space you give the family going through the tragedy. Bond Vet on Broome St is that team you need. The scary part of letting Blu go was the fear of going somewhere no one knew him or us, well...it felt safe, it felt comforting, it felt like William had always been BluCat's Vet, and this made it easier to let go. From reception to Vet Tech to Vet, we fell in love with them all, and if/when we are ready for another pet (hard to replace the G.O.A.T.) We know who we will be going to. This feels like a bougie vet and feels very clean I do want to highlight one doctor in particular, Dr. tong was a really amazing with my two cats who came in multiple times. I asked the price before I visited with my dog for an international health certificate and was told it cost 120.00. After the visit ( which took less than 10 minutes) I was presented for a bill for double that for 245.00. One charge for the exam and one to fill out the certificate. And what kept the live operator on the phone, BEFORE the appointment, from telling me the full charges? The tech told me it was a "miscommunication" - that I would have to pay for. I refused as I am a senior on fixed income. The doctor was unhelpful and refused to write in the exam notes that my dog was healthy for international travel. Finally a vet with a moral compass, who seemingly puts the animals first. We came in with our guy at 6:30pm after we thought he might be choking. They immediately took him into the back to triage and to rule out that he was in any urgent duress. When all was said and done we had confirmation he wasn't in any danger and while we didn't walk out with a diagnoses, they eased out concerns of there being an emergency. The most incredible part is that they didn't charge us. At ANY other urgent care clinic this 10 min emergency visit would have been easily $500+. I really had high hopes for this place. I started using them 5 months ago when I got my dog. I liked the vets and all the people who work there but if you are looking for a relationship with a vet this is NOT the place.... its a clinic and don't expect a human to get back in touch with you. We have been there 3 times and have seen 3 different vets (which is ok) BUT there is no PERSONAL anything. My dog had some GI issues last week and the day after I took her in I got a follow up email asking me how she was. I responded and then asked a question about tick collars. No response. Later that afternoon I got another email from a nurse saying that the results from the sample was negative - I said great but I would still like a response to my question about tick collars.... no response. I WENT IN the next day an asked why didn't I get a response and I was told by the front person that someone would call me back..... No response. So don't have any high expectations that they really care that much. Sad because the people who work there are really nice and pretty good! I will most likely look for another vet who has a bit more of a personal touch. read more

Booked an appointment for 730 pm when I noticed blood in my dogs urine. (It was 6 pm when I booked the appointment). They called me and said to come in earlier because they were "concerned about the blood". I told them I had to pick up my kids and would try. Get there 7 mins late for the appointment and the store was closed. Called the location, no answer. Tried knocking on the door. Finally get in touch with them at 7:47 and they said we are closed and we only offer a 5 mins grace period. So they weren't concerned about the blood, the staff wanted to go home early. read more

Got a same-day appointment for my dog whose back leg was bothering him. Very impressed with kindness of people there, cleanliness and level of service. No wait at all, everything was clearly explained, costs were walked through beforehand, and the vet tech as well as 2 vets he had the pleasure to meet were thorough, direct, knowledgeable, and didn't try to get me to spend untold amounts of money on who knows what - as can happen at a new vet office. They solved the problem quickly, and my pup felt so good immediately upon getting home, he ran around like a crazy puppy for a good hour, he was so happy. We'll be back. :) read more

I had heard of Bond Vet from a friend and took my cat Liza there this past week for an upper respiratory infection. I got the appointment the same day and the staff was tremendously helpful and kind. The clinic itself is immaculate and everyone was very welcoming. I was so impressed by their bedside manner and how thorough they were and patient while I asked questions. The same day they sent an extensive review of everything about Liza. It was so detailed and they gave me more information than even regular doctors give human patients. The $25 examination fee was a huge plus living in the city and they didn't try to overcharge me for anything unnecessary. Im so happy I found this location so close to home, I definitely trust them with my cat, and feel very confident recommending them to all of my friends and everyone reading this review.
