I stopped by for lunch on a nice afternoon at the Brickell location. The signage outside was easy to see and locate from a distance and if I hadn't already planned on getting sushi the comedic sign out front would have been enough to get me through the door. The sushi chef was fantastic and knew exactly how to prepare some beautiful culinary creations. The salmon sashimi was hands down some of the best I've had in quite some time. My favorite nigiri was the spicy crab that was slightly crunchy, smothered in a cream sauce, and delicately topped on a nice rectangle of rice. Everything else was very well presented. The server did a great job as well and made me a really good lemonade mocktail from their menu. It was topped with mint and tasted of real lemons. The restaurant itself is just barstools around the sushi counter and two restrooms in the back. There is also outdoor seating on the steps outside. I would be delighted to return for more deliciousness here soon!

This place really took a turn for the worst! We had ordered from here before and it was pretty quick good. This past time we ordered it was a mess! We ordered for pick up and it took over an hour for it to be ready. The food was extremely mid. The sushi roles were rolled and cut very poorly, basically falling apart. Nothing tasted fresh. The avocado still had the skin on it. Super disappointing.

I went for a quick little lunch and sat around the chef. It was like a private dining experience since no one else was there yet. I had the lunch special with the spicy blue crab hand roll, o toro nigiri and yellowfin sashimi. All delicious. I think my personal preference is less sauce on the crab roll cuz it masks it too much. But still very good. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Definitely will go back.

Bondi recently opened in my neighborhood so I was excited to try them out! I first stopped by with my husband when we were looking for a sushi spot for dinner. The inside is very intimate with a limited amount of seats. It's best if you make a reservation prior to dropping by and it's not great for large groups. The first time we had great service and hand no issues getting seated. The second time was a little different. We had a party of 5 and sat inside. Thankfully we had a reservation so we didn't have any issues getting seated! I docked stars because the service was terribly slow. There was two waiters but the restaurant was packed. We placed a large order and food started coming out as it was made but my friend didn't get her silverware after asking multiple times. She ended up getting up and getting it herself. After our appetizers all came out we placed another larger order of crispy rice and hand rolls, one of the waiters tried asking us to move outside or wrap up but once I told him we had 10 hand rolls we were waiting on he let us stay. Other guests were getting better service than us and not being asked to move although we were continuing to order throughout the night. The food was great and ingredients are fresh but definitely don't come with a party over 2!

Some vegan roll my SO ordered

We originally showed up at this address looking for a completely different restaurant -- turns out, Bondi Sushi had just taken over the space. Yelp didn't even have a listing yet for Bondi at the time, it had the old restaurant. It was so new that my SO got FTR for this place. Walking in, you could still feel the newness. It was after lunch when we arrived and the wait staff had almost no idea what to actually do with us when we walked in. Finally we just sat ourselves at the sushi counter. They were literally installing bathroom signs while we were ordering. The sushi chefs were fantastic -- super friendly and genuinely excited to talk to us. They were helpful recommending what they had and also suggesting what my SO could have as a vegan. They were also great in tossing out other restaurant and cuisine recommendations they liked around Brickell when we mentioned we were out of towners that were in town for a week on business. It felt way more like a conversation with passionate food people than a stiff "server-customer" thing, which I really appreciated. Food-wise, Bondi crushed it. I wasn't too hungry but I saw they had salmon over crispy rice. What I appreciated was that it wasn't your typical minced fish over the rice (like spicy tuna), it was the whole salmon nigiri on top of the rice. And instead of deep-frying it the rice, they air-fried it which gave it this light, delicate crisp on the outside while keeping the inside soft and fluffy. It had that satisfying crunch without feeling heavy or greasy, and the salmon was delicious -- the whole thing just worked. I could've easily downed a few more of those without blinking. We ended up back here a few days later for a dinner with clients, but because that was a business dinner, I wasn't too focused on the meal itself. Although they did provide complimentary sake because they were still under a soft opening I think (or just still in the early stages). Definitely bookmarking this one for future sushi cravings when I'm in town -- especially when I want something good without all the Brickell over-the-top-ness at other places like SexyFish.

A good friend took me here for surprise birthday dinner. It was wonderful, the food was great. A good taste of simple omakase sushi bar. Service was a little slow but I think they did their best to accommodate so I am grateful. Drinks took a while. Solid place for the area, continently located for locals. Ambiance is intimate since it's just one sushi bar and seats surrounding. Quality of sushi depends on your scale but it's good for Miami. Rice falls apart when you pick it up but he tried.

This is our go-to for takeout sushi--and it never disappoints. Located right in the middle of Brickell, it's super convenient whether you're picking up dinner or stopping in for a quick bite. We're obsessed with the crispy rice and the surf & turf rolls--both are consistently fresh and flavorful. The space is small and cozy, with a chill, intimate vibe. Sit at the bar if you're dining in--it's perfect for a casual date night. Service is always quick and friendly, and our to-go orders are ready on time every time. Definitely a neighborhood gem!

This is my go to stop when I'm ordering in. They have a great bogo deal on the salmon sushi and it's so good every time.

I was familiar with the New York location so was excited to try in Brickell. I'm not sure many people know about this location yet but was fun to try with girlfriends and would be a great date night spot. There is some outside seating but I would def sit at the sushi bar. We ordered just about everything- Spicy edamame- dressing was different but not bad Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi- so good! Spicy tuna crispy rice Spicy hamachi roll Several nigiri and hand rolls Seafoam and lavender haze cocktails - super unique! Chocolate cake - good but wish it was warmed up Very cool to watch them make everything right in front of you, my first time at a sushi experience like this. Good pricing for what it is. They were out of some menu items but they had just opened so that's to be expected, not a dealbreaker. Wait staff was attentive and helpful when ordering, sushi did come out a bit slow but it was fine. Definitely try if you are in the area!

Great new addition to Brickell! I came in for a quick lunch with my boyfriend and we both ordered the lunch specials that they offer, which are a great deal. The bar inside is really nice and you can see the chefs preparing your sushi. The actual sushi was amazing quality, especially for the price. The chefs and manager were very friendly and attentive which was a huge plus! Will definitely become a staple of ours.

    King Salmon Nigiri

We live above the building of this new location & were excited for a new sushi place since we are always looking for good sushi. This place is AMAZING and will be our new go-to. Everything tastes so fresh and all the sushi just melts in your mouth. All the staff and the chefs are super friendly and accommodating- just a great experience overall. It's small, so keep that in mind if coming with a lot of people. Inside is just a big bar and outside is a few tables to accommodate larger groups. Also super cool to be able to watch the chef cut and make the sushi in front of you at the bar.

Salmon avocado roll, miso soup, and matcha white chocolate cookie

High quality food and sushi, good deals especially for brickell, and fast service. Always a good meal and happy hour is great!

Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place.
