We recently dined in for a brunch event and it was an amazing experience! The staff were wonderful! Apparently they had more bookings than initially anticipated and did a great job of accommodating everyone and making sure everyone was still happy and enjoying the experience. We sat at the bar because all tables had been filled when we arrived and we never felt left out of the group. This event was a 4-course brunch and cocktail pairing for $40 a person. A STEAL! The crab deviled eggs and shrimp and grits were our favorite courses. I was so full by course #3 that I actually took a box home with my last course (French toast) and had it for breakfast the next day. First with only three additional ppl in the restaurant, one would think that choosing a place to sit a family of three would not be a problem. Unfortunately, it was so once we arrived at a bow booth. When we specifically ask for a table, we were redirected to a table after walking around the facility. For about 30 seconds, once we were seated placed. Our order got our drinks. Bread was bought to the table. His thumb was in our oil. So we decided to pass on the oil in split the bread.We then proceeded to order our drinks, 3 coral reef at 12.50 a wap which were watered down. We then had starters bang bang & edamame was barely tolerable. Thank goodness i had justbleft the movies from watching avatar so inhad popcorn left over. For our entrees we decided to have two blackened Ahi tuna and a Mahi Mahi. My tune had no sear and the spice on this meal was dirty mop water at best. Total bill 200. Let me just start with this used to be my favorite go to restaurant for all occasions, until now. To start, I made my reservation online. However, something told me to call to verify my reservation as it was the Saturday before Father's Day upon calling the restaurant to verify the reservation. I was told there was no reservation in my name. I asked about a reservation for between five and 6 o'clock that evening. The person answered the phone and gladly obliged me and set a reservation for 6:15 PM. Upon arriving about 30 minutes early I asked if we could be seated and was told we could not no big deal because we were early. Even though I seen about seven tables that were empty for two people upon going in the restaurant once our text message came through. We were seated at the table. No one came for 15 minutes. Extremely aggravated! We waited for someone to walk by and they approached us and said had we seen our server my answer was NO!! He informed us that he would tell the manager to come to our table which she did and she apologize. The server came to the table did not announce itself with his name which really annoyed me and just asked if we wanted something to drink so very nonchalantly! No bread no dipping oil. It was a disaster. I was embarrassed because this was my favorite restaurant and my guess was extremely disturbed. His food was horrible. . He he to send it back and wait for a new replacement to come back, which had less food in the dish than the initial plate that was served another disappointment. Mine was delicious shrimp and scallop pasta but hard to enjoy. Needless to say they comped us with a dessert. And a card for a free appetizer for a return trip , which I will not likely be going back. I'll gift it to someone else . I've had enough of bad service. I would say more but I'm running out of space 2 1/2 stars. The only good thing was a free dessert that we took home I didn't want to stay any longer. I hope the server can do better !!! read more

I've been here a couple times and it's always a great experience. Lunchtime was perfect as the atmosphere is very calm. The Tropical Heat Martini was delicious with sweetness upfront and a spicy kick on the end. I was in a fish and chips mood and it was well prepared. Bonefish is always good for a quick bite. Its location is perfect. Right next to the movie theater and Kiki's Chicken. We were greeted by a sweet hosted and were seated quickly. Our waiter was nice and helpful with any questions that we had. The restaurant was clean and warm for a chilly day. The sangria's were good, pretty sweet though. The bang bang shrimp were delish like always! The fish and chips were pretty good. The vinegar and tartar sauce add some good flavor. The scallops, shrimp and mashed potatoes were also good. Recommendations were not made by our server lol he was ready to go. We had a few people to bring things out and the customer service was low. I really will give this place a try earlier next time because I think it could have potential. The Brussel sprouts were burnt to a crisp and left a bad taste in my mouth. The chicken marsala was suppose to have bacon but was missing a few things. The crab cakes were Delicious. The manager did come out and asked how everything was and very courteous. While we expected plenty of company due to the holiday, we were not seated until an hour after the reservation. After this, we did not receive our orders for another hour, and some of the dishes ordered had to be modified due to availability. Our waitress did a great job and was very diligent, but management clearly did not prepare for the holiday. To add insult to injury, management did not offer any compensation for our extended wait, despite coming to our table to apologize for the wait. Last night my Bride and I had a real good meal that was less sodium than most, while being extremely delicious. June Best had the extremely tasty salmon cooked on a cedar plank with salt cut back. Naturally I loved it. I had their great salad with palm hearts, a few kalamati olives and lots of pumpkin seeds!!! One of my favorites. My main course was Mussels Josephine of which I haven't had for several years. I conservatively dipped the mussels in the wine sauce and added an onion or tomato cooked in the sauce!!! Chain restaurants will be chains. What makes you want to go back is the service. Immediately walking in, I was greeted by managing partner Brooke Hooks. She was attentive and prompt. My waitress was busy when I was seated so Brooke had another waitress assist me. I was on my lunch break, so I wasn't looking to hang around all day. They were quick but not rushy. (Not even halfway through my water, I was brought another. Love it.) I enjoyed the calamari and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, the calamari was fried to perfection just wish it was better separated. The restaurant looked to be at 66% capacity or better. The waiter provided useful feedback about menu items, was pleasant, and checked back frequently throughout the meal. My wife and I went for our anniversary last night without a reservation. We were able to be seated immediately and were helped just as fast. We both had lobster bisque and an appetizer. The bang bang shrimp was very good, but the lobster bisque was not at all good. Couldn't taste anything but the overpowering flavor of white wine, and was only luke warm. While we had just started our soup our dinners arrived. My wife had their fish and chips which was adequate nut not really flavorful. I ordered the cod imperial and expected better. The cod was overcooked and the sauce overpowering. As my sides I ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes had no garlic taste whatsoever and were instant potatoes. The coleslaw tasted very heavy of vinegar. Our server was very attentive and polite and explained everything thoroughly. If it wasn't for him, dinner would have been a total flop. I had dinner at Bonefish last night at Harbison in Columbia and it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. This is the second time my meal was very disappointing My fish was barely cooked. The waiter was very nice and took it back to the kitchen. When the new plate came the broccoli was cooked too much. It was mush. The rice was very bland and the new piece of fish was way under par. So disappointing and was 27.50$ This restaurant is what I would consider an upscale restaurant and it was below par. There are so many other places to choose from.
