    Fettuccine Carrabba
    John C.

I was here for a birthday dinner, and honestly I wasn't very impressed. The staff seemed nice, but there were a bunch of them just standing around, and half the people at our table didn't get water until about 30 minutes in. The food itself was fairly good and several people in our group enjoyed their meals, but personally I wasn't impressed. The fettuccine tasted good, but there was basically no chicken on it. For the price, I expected a lot more. Overall, the place is alright, and if you have extra money to spend it might be worth trying. But if you're on a budget or want to get your money's worth, I'd probably stay away.

It has been quite a while since I've eaten at Carrabba's because quite frankly the last time was subpar and it's been several years. I took a friend there today and he'd never eaten there. We both had calamari appetizers and were were delighted that they weren't lightly battered and delicious. We also had the lentil soup with sausage which was great and for my main appetizer I had the chicken marsalas and he had the beef short rib marsalas. I will have to say that it was absolutely delicious and he was blown out of the water. He will be taking his wife there as soon as he gets a chance. I was delighted to see that. Apparently they are back on their game and the food was magnificent. The service was excellent is and we had a great experience. It is a bit pricey but it is well worth it.

Carrabba's is my favorite! It never disappoints. The service is always above and beyond. The ambiance is simple and nothing extravagant but I'm going for the food. We had the 2 for $45 and I was impressed they were giving the same portion as the regular option if ordered separately. I had the Caesar salad and my wife the Italian. I love their chicken Marsala with mash potatoes. My wife had the Tuscan grilled sirloin with broccoli and penne. It also came with a dessert not pictured because we were quite full from just the salad bread and entree. However we chose the strawberry cheesecake. We did get a Summer Sangria and it was really good! Highly recommend it! I love a sweet drink and it was perfect!

Chenelle the manager , smart , responsive and helpful along with my bartender , Kristie , both beautiful and welcoming, made my meal a true joy, I had the Italian chicken soup and a new appetizer, the goat cheese pasta . Both were delicious, that I topped off with a cup of coffee and a small glass of Ruffino Chianti , a suburb meal and enjoyable company, fantastic service I would definitely come back again

The decor and ambience of the restaurant was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the questions I had over the menu. I really enjoyed their Spicy Margarita they had on the menu. When it came to the food the Classics Combination was great except for the Bruschette Caprese it was Very Salty. We could not eat it at all. When it came to the Chicken Parmesan it was a 4/10 the chicken was dry and tough when eating. You could tell it was frozen and not freshly made. The sauce was ok. Over all it was good would different give it another try because of the staff and the drinks.

Oh my gooooooodness. Perfect spot on Irmo/Columbia SC. Minutes from Lake Murray, you gotta give it a shot. I got some secrets for ya. 1. Check out the 4p-7p happy hour. $3 beers and $7 appetizers. 2. Gotta get the $10 entre to go combined with done in meal. You essentially get 2 great meals for the price of 1. The staff is friendly and always accommodating. Drinks are good and chill atmosphere. CARRABBAS!!!!!!

    Cannoli Cake ...so good

Experience here was okay. We had to wait for a table and had a good experience at the bar getting drinks, but where we sat down was a bit cruddy for me - the window sill, specifically...which in its state was too close to where we sat. Took forever to get our server, then to get bread, but it was Friday night busy so I wasn't mad per se, but still. I was jonesing for some Eggplant Parm, but they recommended the new veggie ravioli, which was very good. Glad I listened! My wife got a rigatoni special, which was just alright. But the highlight, especially as this was my birthday, was the Cannoli Cake. It's a week later and I can still taste it. It's extra special because back in NY on my birthday we'd go to the Italian bakery and get a cannoli and another desert, BUT, this was also just perfectly tasty too. A huge hit bakers! Would I return? Not sure yet, but I can understand why folks dig it.

The fettuccine I ordered tasted great! And the service is wonderful. I enjoy my lunch with my friend there.

Good food, good service. The caesar salad was delicious and the sangria was my favorite. My friends enjoyed their pastas and the portions are enough for two ! My fav was the bread with the cheese, tomato and I think it was a balsamic dressing.

I went off the usual rails of what I got there to some extent. Their 2 piece scallops (ordered "as an app") is always a solid decision. They would be wise to put it or another iteration on the app menu. I was wanting a fish entree, and decided to try the trout, as I wasn't feeling pasta. The scallops as an app were amazing, as always, and I expected that to be the highlight of the evening. The trout blew my mind in its flavor and presentation. Far more than I would have thought. Pan seared trout, shaved Brussel sprouts and mushrooms and pancetta with dill cream sauce EXCEEDED my expectations. Brussels are not typically anything I would laud, let alone rave about. But the bed of shaved Brussels with a skin on trout was an absolutely perfect pairing that almost made me want to do it all again that very same night. Brussels are typically boiled mushy or oven roasted, and I always saw them to be limited in flavor profiles.. But the nutty flavor they brought to this dish changed my mind on this vegetable potential. The skin of the trout was crunchy, but amazing. The Brussels were delicate and soft with so much flavor. The sauce on top was a perfect pairing. I was blown away that I had been to this establishment 100+ times and never tried this dish, which I will happily add to the rotation. I typically don't do dessert here, but decided to try the apple crostata. The flavor was amazing. The portion was for two, my waistline now wishes there was a declaration or option of for two or for one when ordered. Overall, I highly recommend the trout with shaved Brussels. Their scallops are consistently good. Their bar waitstaff can be stand-off ish if you aren't a local that lives across the street, but in this instance the waitstaff catered to all, not just the locals. I will keep travinia in my rotation.

We were seated near the bar area, and it was extremely smoky, which made the dining experience uncomfortable for me. On a positive note, our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and answered all of our questions. My spritz was good, and I also enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Unfortunately, the lobster ravioli was extremely salty--to the point that I couldn't really enjoy the dish. Between the smoky atmosphere and the entrée, I left a little disappointed. I'm not sure this is somewhere I would visit again.

The broccoli was cooked well , not hard but not soft and had some spice to it. I ordered the hanger steak with sweet potatoes instead of fries and omg it was so good. I got my steak cooked medium well, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved the Parmesan on top of the sweet potatoes. It was the perfect pair. Theirs has potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. But the broth tastes like they might also use a touch of tomato paste. I could be wrong. Nonetheless, it was tasty and the thick broth was yummy on the piece of crusty bread it was served with.
