Please note that the week before I called in for 2 bowls realized once home that I didn't get what I ordered so they told me they would replace next time I came. The bartender finally acknowledged me and I askedd for the chowder and he told me they didn't have any. Do I ordered something else. Long story short my pasta came with spoon . I waited while watching the bartender help everyone that did not look like me. At the end he was rude and the indeed did have chowder per manager. We gave this location our last visit. They open at 4pm but when we walked they were still setting up. The bartender was more interested in turning on the five tvs than greeting us. Not even a hello. She was terrible at everything. We had to ask for everything. I don't think poorly trained but just didn't care. Then walking out we noticed the Mecklenburg health score was 90.5. It take numerous violations to be that low. Just look up what the violations are and you probably won't eat there. The service was awful. It was a Saturday afternoon and while it was not really busy, it was not dead either. We didn't even see our server until after we asked the hostess as she finally brought the high chair we had asked for. Our server never came back to check on our food, never cleared any dishes, and didn't refill our drinks. However, he did ask the tables around us these things and even asked if they wanted to go drinks. We had to order dessert on the tabletop kiosk. We received a gift card and decided to go to the outback for our anniversary. It was 5:30 pm, so I went online and got on the waitlist, mentioning it was our anniversary. We arrived at 5:35 and the hostess( silver necklace with turquoise stones) found us on the list and said it would be 30+minutes as the kitchen had been really busy. We said we would have a seat at the bar and wait. We ordered tea, lemonade, some fried mushrooms and waiting for a text that our table was ready. The mushrooms were fried, but to a point they were shriveled. We waited. At 6:20 I went to the front to see them seating couples as they walked in. I asked about our wait list placement and was told we were not on the list. I assured her the hostess( not currently at the podium) located us on the list. She apologized, said the list had been cleared and took us to a booth. I ordered my usual Victoria's filet, medium. It was browned on one side, and barely brown on the other. Medium rare. An hour and 20 minutes later we had finished our meal and asked for the check. Our server was very sweet. I believe they were overwhelmed and could not keep up with the numbers of guests. We live only 10 minutes away from the restaurant but don't think we'll go back. We agreed that we had never had such poor service at an Outback. We had arrived at 5:35, and didn't get home until 8pm. Outback used to be a great restaurant with all star menu items. I have not been there in several years. I ate tonight with my family at the Huntersville restaurant and was surprised to see so few customers. It was practically empty! It did not take long to find the cause. The food was terrible! The Blooming onion was once a superb appetizer - tonight it was terrible. We sent the first one back to the kitchen because it was oily, burnt , and the oil did not taste fresh. The second one was worse and al so was not peeled properly. The chicken sandwich also was not good as the oil did not taste fresh. I guess they are frying all the dishes in the same oil. The Ahi tuna appetizer tasted very good but the slices were only about 1/3 the thickness that they used to serve. A side of mixed vegetables came out completely raw. I love Outback but not all Outbacks are created equal. This is a good one. I came in on a Wednesday for their Walk-About special because I happened to be in the area. I was seated quickly and my order was taken promptly. It took a while for my order to come out but there was plenty of bread for me to snack on. Oh that bread is so yummy with some butter smeared on. Yum. The Walk-about Wednesday deal comes with your choice of either the sirloin or grilled chicken on the barbie with fries and a choice of a beverage for $10.99. It's a fairly good deal and I also love it because they are one of the few places that has coke zero on the fountain. Food came out piping hot and the steak was perfectly cooked to a pink medium rare. It was a great meal for an affordable price. The dining room has been renovated and is super clean. I will be back! As far as chains go outback is usually pretty consistently decent. I would give this location 3.7 stars but honestly just couldn't round up to the full 4. It's just not that great with all the other options in the area. We've eaten from this outback many times and for some reason the curbside to go food is always worse than dine in and the portions are always smaller. They've stepped up their cocktail game and now offer some pretty good drinks. Steaks are always good for the price. I do not recommend seafood options for outback--stick to the meats and apps. The loaded cheese fries and bloomin onion are always scrumptious and a must get if calories are of no concern : p I've never had an issue with service but sometimes their curbside to go can take a little while so order with a side of patience. read more

Things have changed.I hadn't been here in six years prior to last night. It's wayyyy better now. The host, Chloe, told me there was a major overhaul since then. It definitely shows. I went here with my friend Bob. There is a big age difference, but he's crazy cool. Our waiter was CJ, who was on the ball with everything. Friendly, patient, and efficient. All of the food was excellent, which I didn't expect at all at Outback. Very impressed. The fries don't need ketchup, the sirloin is on the money, the balsamic vinaigrette is one of the best I have ever tasted, the mac n' cheese is really good (I never think that), and according to Bob, that broccoli thing was superb (even though he didn't use the word 'superb'). After our meal, we went to the bar for a beer. Well ... I had a beer. Bob requested a Coke and a kid's menu (he's 65). Either way, Emily-Lauren did a great job taking care of us, and the manager (Sean/Shawn maybe?) came over and asked if we needed anything. As crazy as this sounds, whether you live east or west of the Mississippi, I recommend booking a trip to Huntersville NC to eat at Outback Steakhouse. Worst meal from Outback ever! We sat at the table for almost 10 minutes before we were even greeted. The food took almost an hour to come out from the kitchen. We ordered 1 kid meal with 2 fruit bowls, 2 entrees, and a sweet potato; it shouldn't have taken that long. When food arrived we were missing multiple parts to the meal. The food did not taste good. Salad was poorly made with hardly any of the ingredients it was supposed to have there was literally like 4 pieces of lettuce, two croutons and a pinch of cheese. This Outback is hidden unless you are from the area. I noticed the hours weee changed and they open at 4pm-close (Except Sat and Sunday) which is mainly due to the pandemic and shortage of workers. With that being said the customer service and food is still amazing! I have visited this location about 4 times in the last 2 months and have not been disappointed. Came to eat here since I had some gift cards to use up and was promptly seated upon arrival. It was early on a Saturday evening before the big dinner rush. Our server brought our drinks right away and took our order shortly after that. Our salads were brought out pretty quickly and everything was correct. It took a while for our main courses to show up, but once they did everything was cooked per our request and tasted good. Since we had been there a while I decided to get my dessert to go, the server put in the request and it took a very long time to get it, it was just a slice of cheesecake, it's not like they had to make it.
