We used to love Bonefish, but it has gone downhill in the last year. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think people agree, because the restaurant has been at no more than 20% capacity the last couple times we have gone when it used to be at 100% with a wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has changed, and while I appreciate that they say how they source their seafood, I think this works against them because most people know the downsides of farmed fish now, and that's how a lot of their fish is sourced. The rest is imported. Anyway, the quality of the food has declined as has the service. I got the crab cakes and the coating was so gritty it was like eating sand. I also had the Caesar salad, which was drenched in dressing to the point of being inedible. My husband got scallops, which were the size of a penny in circumference. We unfortunately won't be back again unless we hear through the grapevine that the quality has returned to how it was when we loved this place. read more

Went here at 3pm on a Sunday. It was completely dead.... The service: We walked in and found two tables of servers sitting at the front next to the bar just hanging out. We went to be seated and ended up moving tables because where they were sitting us didn't have a server at the time. We were sat, and didn't have a waitress for nearly 10 minutes. After we had one she was good. Made sure everything was ok. When I ordered a drink, the bartender was no where to be found and we could hear the waitress asking where he went... The Food: Ordered a fillet topped with goat cheese. It was disgusting. It was cooked to a perfect medium but lacked any flavor other than charred meat. The goat cheese was slices of cold goat cheese put on top on the steak, not melted. The steak had literally no seasoning. The bacon Mac and cheese had a very odd after taste. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. They did take the steak off of the tab. However, when the manager came over and asked about the steak he said "hey so you didn't like the steak?" She listened to me, was super friendly, gave me advice when I asked. Well, I went back and gave them another chance. It was horrible. This place is terribly expensive for what you get. I ordered this time: Bang bang shrimp tacos-very soggy fat fried shrimp lacking in a sauce that was supposed to be coating them, I didn't ask to add cheese since they advertised sour cream, which they gave me a drizzle or one on only a few-the leftovers are in my fridge. The Imperial cod again-missing crab meat & mozzarella and not truly stuffed. Imperial dip w/House made tortilla chips- the dip was ok, only where the heck was the mozzarella and lump crab meat??? As an appetizer it's very costly and the chips seasoned in their "special seasoning"was nothing but SALT, makes you thirsty so I dusted them off. House salad with hearts of palm-well, you only get three hearts and they had the nerve to serve me up brown lettuce-what a disappointment Caesar Salad-seriously basic is all I can say, they top it with these "signature croutons" WHICH are only their bread chopped into large chunks and sat for three days I mean they're like rocks and not worth it-I added feta-thank goodness I did otherwise I'd be eating nothing but lettuce. Mussels Josephine-which really ticked me off! Because they rushed packed it and I didn't realize that ALL of the lemon wine sauce which tasted nothing of lemon or wine only of heavy cream, WASTED all over my vehicle and kept dripping as I carried it into my home leaving a track of sauce that I had to clean. The mussels had no seasoning or flavor just taste like water. Spicy Tuna bowl-absolutely no spice at all, sushi grade seared tuna which they could have and should have seasoned-I mean Bonefish are you allergic to seasoning?? Except for the fries? Speaking of fries, I got them as a side for my friend since I was ordering for others too, they literally count out how many fries you get, I guess maybe they measure them by the size of the cook with the smallest hand because ya only get about 9-12 wilted, soggy, salty fries GIVE ME MORE for that price. The bread here is some of the worse, not soft and don't bother trying to microwave it for a quick snack the next day because it turns into a cracker. I wanted an extra piece right? Guy says it's a dollar extra well I ordered nearly $100 in food-ya won't be getting my dollar, but you'll give me that bread, how are 6 people sharing one bread Donut???! Please. All in all, I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THIS CRAP And I'll back up my truths with pictures below taken the same day as soon as I got home about 7 minutes later.... judge for yourself but be careful. Oh and asking for extra lobster chunks or adding them to something, I've never gone to a seafood restaurant that didn't allow for that or do that right? We went to Bonefish to get takeout for my dad's birthday. Three orders of fish and chips I grade as a C. The fish was soggy and French fries soggy limp. The appetizer potstickers grade F. I have had the potstickers there many times and they were good. Sunday the order tasted so bad it ruined any hope of the fish and chips being better than average. We should have eaten at the restaurant so I could get a glass of vino and speak with the manager about the horrible tasting potstickers and mediocre fish and chips. Huge disappointment for birthday lunch. Management at this restaurant doesn't seem to care. A year ago my dad wanted to sit at the restaurant for his birthday. His fish and chips last year were the best meal out of four. Last year was a disappointment because one out of four meals was good. We met a couple and their adult children for dinner tonight - it was their youngest son's 18th birthday. This was our first time dining at Bonefish and I'm sorry to say it was unimpressive. We had a party of 7 and waited patiently outside until we received the text our table was ready. Although, once we all filed inside the crowded lobby (the "fire hazard" as one employee put it) we were told that there wasn't a table ready after all. We subsequently filed back outside again until we were offered a "community table" in the bar. Sold! Through the evening, Jeff continued to receive text alerts that our table was ready. - four times. No biggie, but see photo for our kitchen view. It was filthy. I ordered the Cesar salad with salmon. I typically can tell a decent restaurant from the attention paid to the protein on the salad. Well, my salmon (plus $8) was overcooked. By overcooked, I mean rubbery, dry and super chewy. I mentioned this to our server and she offered to bring another piece. She asked if I wanted it medium, I responded that I would like it cooked like a normal piece of salmon, flaky rather than rubbery. She then repeated her question, if I wanted it cooked medium. I repeated my previous response. She huffed, turned to head back into the kitchen. The replacement salmon arrived and I was immediately disappointed. This time it was grossly undercooked (see photo). The server who was loud and bullish did not care in the least. She came upon me mid-inspection. It was obvious there was an issue with the fish. She asked if I wanted to rerun it again. There was no way I would have returned it a 2nd time, it wasn't prepared properly to be eaten and therefore, any respectable place would have taken it from the bill. Not here. She just shrugged her shoulders and retreated off. No apologies, no validation, just a cold shoulder from the server. She didn't even ask if I wanted another drink, just brought the bill. Despite our server rushing us out, we were not ready to leave. We stayed a bit longer enjoying each other's company, had a few more drinks and cashed out a 2nd time. I have patronized this restaurant many years, and have always found tolerable, not outstanding. However today when my family dined there, the temperature was so uncomfortably cold that we literally couldn't wait until we could leave. Many patrons were complaining, even to the point of leaving to get extra blankets from their cars to try to keep warm. We were told upon arrival that there was no place we could sit that would be more warm. We should have left then. The food was mediocre and certainly not worth the misery that we endured. I will NEVER darken the doors of this establishment again and would not recommend it under any circumstances. The cavalier and dismissive attitude of the staff was appalling. read more

I've been coming to Bonefish Grill with my family for years. I love their drink selection, appetizers, and desserts, but still haven't found the right entree for me. I chose the pecan crusted rainbow trout the other night and it was bland and boring. Though I did try my moms chilean sea bass with lemon butter sauce and it was delicious. The side of sautéed spinach was pretty boring but the garlic whipped potatoes were delicious. The calamari is always a crowd pleaser and something we order each time we are there. We ordered happy hour drinks that we're supposed to be $6. The server told us that our cocktail choices were on the happy hour menu. At the end of our meal when we questioned the check he said the happy hour drinks had actually changed on Wednesday. They were $10.50 One of our party of 4's food was very late and she never got her salad. The wrong food was brought out first. I never got my chowder, my mahi mahi was overcooked and was bland, and one of my drinks was wrong. Another in our party ordered a medium steak it came out rare. Our check had a salad on there which we didn't order. The server gave us a voucher for a free appetizer the next time we come. Our meal for the 2 of us was $90. This was so disappointing. I always wants honest reviews when i'm looking for restaurants when out of town. So, here's mine. Stopped in here with some friends, and our first waitress was super nice and helpful. However, we then got placed with Miss Angela. Terrible customer service. She maybe checked on us 4 times. When she did stop by our table she was short and snappy. We wanted more bread repeatedly, but of course she never could find the time to stop. Food was mid, my broccoli was hard and steak was way undercooked. I order to eat there at the bar but the longer I sat I had to ask for my food to go. It was like a sewage leak. Not sure what was going on The wait staff was fine. Nothing special and I sat at the bar. Normally they are very attentive. You would think that if I spontaneously asked it to go you would ask why?? Of course that may be an age thing. Sadly disappointing. The Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer was terrific. I ordered the Crab-Crusted Cod, and it was so salty that it was practically inedible. The spinach side was overcooked and completely inedible. BTW, I LOVE cooked spinach, and leaving that side to be trashed just broke something in me. Thank goodness for the bread. Still, I didn't come for the bread... I wanted a nice piece of fish and didn't get it. I recommend staying with the broiled fresh catch filets with nothing fancy added. Anytime a Huntsville chef gets a chance to add salt, they overdo it. It's like their taste buds lose function after 6:00 pm. Maybe the Mango Salsa or the Lemon Butter sauces can allow your fish to escape being drowned in salt. After-dinner dehydration due to hypernatremia is not doctor recommended. read more

I have been wanting to try Bonefish Grill for quite a while, however, we didn't have them in Az. We recently moved to Alabama and I had to go. I had the grilled rainbow trout and it was delicious. I also tried the Imperial Dip, it was good, but I probably won't get it again, wasn't that big of a fan. My only complaint, is that the restaurant is not clean. We sat next to a wall of wine and the shelves were full of dust and the wine bottle had cob webs around them. Not very appetizing. Should have taken a pic. Bang Bang shrimp is everyone's favorite here. We know it. I don't blame anyone because the bang bang shrimp is very tasty. The wait does not tend to be long and the service is swift, friendly and attentive. My mom and couple of friends and I decided to stop in yesterday afternoon and had a few happy hour bar bites, drinks and a couple entrees. Unfortunately they over booked reservations so they were way behind On seating people and there were lots of mad customers we just laughed it off and decided to wait it out. While staying in town for business over several weeks, we ate here quite often, but after trying a few things, we got the same thing every time - the Grilled Fish section's ahi tuna, blackened with pan Asian sauce, broccoli and garlic whipped potatoes. The Bang Bang shrimp are also hugely popular and v tasty. The service is friendly and efficient, the fish is nicely portioned and prepared with a large variety of options (although simpler seems to be better), and they have nice wine, atmosphere, etc. It's definitely a chain, with standard dessert options, like a brownie sundae, pecan pie, etc, but it's rather a nice one and we enjoyed it enough to make it a staple. They also have a great special on Tuesday nights for 3 courses at basically the same price as an entree. read more

Best service at a Bonefish. My husband and I came for our anniversary and the waiter -Colton was an AMAZING waiter! We will definitely come back just for him. The food is great. Our favorite is the Bang Bang Shrimp. I had the shrimp and scallops with lemon butter and Au Gratin potatoes. My husband has a sirloin topped with bang bang shrimp. The Waitress and the management must have been new as we rarely saw either, slow Service, got our salad before appetizer, steak was overcooked (manager never came by the table), nobody asked how anything was until our meal was almost over). We told the waitress that we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday - saw deserts and candles at other tables but not at ours (not even on the desert I ordered and paid for). I have been to Bonefish a ton but never left a review. Today I came around 3:00 pm, which I figured was a weird time to come here. I was surprised to see several dining and a few at the bar. I was greeted instantly at the bar by a nice bartender. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and the ceviche. I didn't have to wait at all for the wine and barely for the food. The ceviche is full of fish and shrimp. Most places fill them with pico de gallo. Not here! They also come with some crunchy flavored pita bread. The attire is pretty casual. People are here in jeans and I'm in biz casual. It's a comfortable mix. They have several tvs at the bar. read more

Great service- delicious food! We only had a five minute wait for the table, and a fantastic waitress!

Five stars because 99.9% of time this place is excellent. Although we went last night and had the wolf fish/ lobster special. I'll never ask a restaurant to take food back so we didn't. The fish smelt and tasted terrible. On a side note the bang bang shrimp and bread was phenomenal! Service was excellent.
