Busy place, but not crazy busy. 20ish minutes to wait for a table so not bad. Kitchen was unbelievably slow. Slower than you would expect for no busier than they are. Maybe short staffed? They seemed to have plenty of servers to go around and yet ours was invisible. She took our order and didn't return until food was delivered (35-40min) later (refills on coffee nope). Our order wasn't correct and things had to go back to the kitchen. Potatoes cold, bacon slimey instead of crisp, steak in omelette burnt, toast was warm bread and the hollandaise resembled lumpy pudding. Giving our server then benefit of the doubt I'll say she was frustrated with the kitchen instead of being annoyed we sent things back. This place is crowded. Yet, they moved things along at a quick pace. Kind of impressive. Our server was great. Friendly, accurate, quick. The food was good. The burrito was a decent size and well made. Son liked the crispy edges. My avocado, turkey club (no cheese OFC) was tasty. The fillings were a tad skimpy but it was all well balanced with the thin bread slices. The cost of the lunch was lower than most of the brunch places we've visited since moving here. I liked Eggs Up Grill when I tried their Madison location I guess a year or two ago now. I'm glad they've joined us on the Huntsville side of things. :) Located on Four Mile Post near the Peppered Pig (my beloved), this restaurant has been pretty popular for breakfast, brunch, and lunch since opening. I visited with my mom a little over a week ago to catch up. We arrived at around 10:30 on a Thursday to a restaurant about 30% full. We were greeted and allowed our choice of seating -- we opted for a small booth by a sunny window. Our waitress was very pleasant and bubbly and happy to accommodate our few specifications/requests (e.g. bacon instead of ham in my bowl). My one complaint about service is that it took a while to get our check, but the restaurant was picking up in business, so it's all good. The interior is cute and sunshiney and the women's bathroom was clean. My mom got a standard breakfast of two over-easy eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. Although it was a simple breakfast, everything was executed perfectly, from the nicely crisped bacon to the just-runny-enough eggs. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Note that they butter the toast for you -- she assumed they didn't and got a handful of smear trying to butter it herself, lol. I got the same thing I got when I tried the Madison location, a sort of southwest home fry bowl. It comes with a healthy heap of home fries, eggs cooked your choice (scrambled for me), pepperjack cheese, peppers and onions, jalapeños, and a side cup of sour cream and salsa. Mom inspired me with her toast so I nabbed a side of raisin toast. It was sweet and cinnamony. This version of the southwest bowl didn't hit quite as hard as the one I had in Madison. Not sure what it was -- maybe a different, more cilantro-y salsa, or maybe the jalapeños were more vinegary than spicy? This is not to say I didn't enjoy it, though; the eggs were still cooked nicely and I was happy overall with my meal. This would be a good place to take your family, have a small work or mentorship gathering, etc. Give them a try for a more straightforward but, imo, better prepared breakfast than comparable options nearby. read more

We went a week after they opened so we understand that they are still working out some kinks. Service was friendly. Everyone greets you when you enter. We were seated immediately. The place was bright and clean. The menu has something for everyone and we appreciated the variety. Our food was just okay. I loved that they had raisin bread as an option. I enjoyed it as well as my scrambled eggs and pancake (standard but with a light fluffy balance). I did not like my sausage, potatoes or coffee. The sausage were overcooked and dry. The coffee was watery and we couldn't get past a couple of sips. Lastly, my potatoes weren't good at all. I love a good fluffy potato with some crunch. These were hard, tough and way too peppery. They reminded me of when you par-boil potatoes and then throw them back on the griddle to heat them through. We'd eventually go back to try other menu items but I'd likely not choose potatoes or sausage again. read more

The savory food had zero seasoning, I had the hash Benedict and the hash was chewy and way under seasoned, I asked for extra crispy, well done home fries and they were under cooked and underwhelming. My son's carne asada burrito was also flavorless and disappointing. Good pancakes and donuts and service. The server had the manager come over about the food and was beyond rude, she was condescending and talked down to me for saying I didn't like the food, never had that happen. Other info: instead of keeping my biscuit free of charge with meal and giving me my $1.99 pancake add on to meal and $2.50 side of gravy to equal $4.50 add on total ---- I was charged $7 for a pancake (PC) up charge from biscuit when that should've been free and charged for Togo biscuit and gravy full order cost of $5.99 before tax- my server knew what she was doing she was trying to make total higher to get higher tip at normal tip out % - she did this selfishly Also my omelette was extremely dry and had barely any cheese even after paying extra for more cheese (2 different types) and I had 4 small pieces of avocado - it was remade but the egg inside that was folded up was overcooked and I just took rest of it to go as I was upset. Eggs Up Gill is a great place to have breakfast. The deep fryer was down and out. I guess it was over Thanksgiving lol. With that being said, the menu had many other options. I had the make your own omelette. It was very meaty. My wife had the crème brûlée French toast and she said it was amazing! I would recommend Stephen for a server. He was very energetic and helpful. Even with a full section he was awesome. Jasmine, the owner's daughter, is the manger and she was awesome to meet too. This was my first time here and I will be back. read more

Heads up Huntsville, there's a new breakfast/brunch joint in town! I've had great experiences at the Eggs Up in Madison, so I'm thrilled that they're located closer to me. Now, they're busy. Like, we haven't even TRIED to go in person because the parking lot is overflowing. To make matters worse, their online ordering is--as of now--not working. With that said, we got takeout today and it was OUTSTANDING for takeout. My scrambled eggs were delightful, the bacon was perfectly crisp, the sausage had a bit of a kick and was delightful, and the biscuit was divine. Better half's breakfast bowl was a monster of a great meal. Service was also nice (we called beforehand to see if we could place a takeout order) and everyone was super friendly. Service was prompt and fast. Ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and wheat toast. And a large OJ. Bacon, obviously was cooked ahead of time and sat in a metal cambro pan and was over cooked. Eggs we a little under cooked for my liking. I don't like them to seam wet but like I said that's a personal preference and most people would think they were fine. Home fries were cooked but barely warm in the verge of being room temp. If they were hot and a little crispier they would have been really good. Toast wasn't toasted at all. More like slightly warmed bread. Like my eggs I prefer my toast on the more toasty side. OK was good! Total price was $15.23 which ended up being $20 total with a good tip. Next time I'll know to ask for the eggs, home fries and toast to be more on the done side which would take it from a 6/7 to a 9/10 in my opinion. read more

No other employee seemed to be available. Manager finally looked up and saw us and moved to approach us, but another employee appeared and said she'd help us. This is the second time we visited this location where the manager seemed not to be engaged in managing. Food was acceptable although kitchen time seemed long. She came up to our table demanded an immediate substitute for our side order. Because our order was ready and waiting. Then the substitute side order we placed wasn't even on the plate she was in such a hurry to get out of our kitchen. Seeing her interact with her employees was really sad... not one person came up to the line to pick food up, that she didn't lecture. Which would explain why the food took 35 mins for pancakes and eggs. All in all if a different person was profiting from this- I would go... but don't feel like having my money go to somebody that treats people the way I saw her treat myself and others. I would give them 10 Stars if I could. Today I experienced the best service and food I have had in years. Steven (our waiter) was the very best possible; polite, gracious, positive and very capable. The food was absolutely delicious with large portions and well worth the very reasonable price. I don't live near but plan on making it back there soon and often. I've never been asked if I wanted my bacon crispy or not and it was wonderful, along with a large helping of sausage patties, biscuit and gravy, with the eggs exactly as ordered. Wife and I arrived at about 10, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter Steve was on point. It was a joy to have him as our waiter. I ordered chicken and waffles, the wife had the loaded home fry bowl. Our order arrived within 15 minutes. My chicken and waffles were excellent, with crispy chicken, and fluffy waffles. My wife's meal was to her liking, and she enjoyed it immensely. From start to finish our visit here was superb. Only in town for a few days, but we will return tomorrow for another great meal. Ok Huntsville, Finally !! Been looking for a not-fast-food place to have breakfast and it finally arrived! We ate here today (1/2/25) and were super impressed with all things; service was friendly, helpful and super sweet, prices were more than reasonable and most importantly; the food was amazing. I had an amazing omelette and my wife had the loaded potato skillet. We were even blown away by the quality of their coffee (2 lattes)... which is rare for a focused breakfast place that is not just a coffee spot. The owner even swung by our table and we had a great conversation. We also took home an order of Chix & Waffles and their famous Blueberry Muffins for the kids... who made us promise that we'd have to take them with us the next time we went (so much for having a secret yummy getaway). This is a true hidden gem in the Huntsville area. The service from Cameryn was top notch. She was very friendly, attentive and made a fantastic recommendations. My daughter had the Southern Staples. Her eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly. The biscuit was fluffy and melted in my mouth (I stole a bite). The gravy had real sausage pieces which a lot of restaurants do not offer. I had the Grand Classic. My bacon was cooked to perfection. I LOVEEEE crispy (not burnt) bacon and they did not disappoint. For the coffee lovers you will definitely enjoy the Caramel Cinnamon Smile. It is creamy and very flavorful. The aesthetics of the place is very inviting and warm. We came on a Friday morning so there was no wait. I don't know if it was the manager, owner, or a worker. The woman behind the bar was the most rude person I have ever met. She gave me the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We were told we could sit at the bar while waiting 20 minutes for our table. At the bar we ordered donuts and coffee and she took us off the waitlist without even asking us our plan. She then yelled at the host who mistakenly told us we could sit and wait. We were talking to one another about how rude that was and she turned around, made a face and a rude comment to us. Seriously the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. My wife and I came here for brunch and we were not overly impressed. I'll start with the good. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. The good ended there. First we tried to order mimosas, but they couldn't due to not receiving their liquor license yet. They just opened so i understand, but we were disappointed. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with home fries as the side. It was average at best. The crab cake tasted okay, but was very thin. Like about a 1/3 of an inch. The egg was cooked right and the hollandaise sauce was decent. I will say the bread under was good. I would have liked the home fries to be a little crispier. My wife ordered the turkey avocado BLT without the tomato and home fries as her side. The sandwich seemed like all bread and lettuce. It had two thin slices of turkey, two half strips of bacon, two small slices of avocado (2" long x 3/4" wide x 1/8" thick), four pieces of bread, a lot of wilted lettuce, and a small amount of mayo. This for a sandwich that was 4" thick. It was missing the cheese that the menu said was supposed to be on there, but we didn't realize that until we were discussing the experience later. It was so dry that she had to ask the server for some additional sauce. I will say our server was very helpful in picking additional sauce. She also felt the home fries were undercooked. As for the Ambiance, it is exactly what you would expect for a new brunch restaurant. It was clean and the decor matched the causal atmosphere you would expect. Based on the food alone, we would not recommend the place. read more
