This place is ridiculous, we pay membership monthly for my son to skate, he loves this place, he is a 17 year old that found his place in the world skating and enjoying the friends and environment, my son brought in McDonald's fries and the owner Brett, verbally told him to throw it away, he did respectfully said yes sir and it was gone. Later on without any other reason terminated his monthly membership. It's wild to me that a place that deals with kids, would go to such extreme over fries. I'm very disappointed in this establishment and wouldn't recommend this place for monthly memberships as they seem very unprofessional. It's ran by kids and nobody seems to know what's going on. Place is a joke. If the owner Brett would like to solve this issue please contact me. But I highly doubt it with nobody knowing what's the hell is going on. I used to love this place. Visiting friends in the area and this place was a must for me. We did the play for two deal that includes skating, the soft playground and an arcade card for two for $36 (and some change). The play space was smaller than I expected but it was still large enough to entertain my 11 year old. I didn't even go in the playground but wish I had now. The arcade games are all fun but the ticket wheel claw games were the real deal. We all left with junk in our hands and smiles on our faces. The music was a bit loud (can't believe I'm saying this). It was also pretty empty for a Saturday holiday weekend. I'd definitely come back. read more

This roller skating rink feels less like a place for real skating and more like a chaotic kids' playground, with little regard for anyone beyond small children--and it's especially disappointing because it's clear the rink has ruined what it originally had. What used to be a space with flow, rhythm, and an enjoyable skating atmosphere has been replaced by overcrowding, constant disruptions, and a lack of structure. Inexperienced skaters stop suddenly, cut across traffic, and make it nearly impossible for more skilled skaters to enjoy themselves, while staff do little to maintain order or safety. On top of that, the membership system is completely unreasonable and poorly thought out, adding unnecessary frustration to an already bad experience. The loud, repetitive, party-focused atmosphere lacks any real skate culture, making this a frustrating, poorly managed place that's not worth it for anyone looking to actually skate. read more

Very clean and family friendly. We happened to come on a night that had $.99 ice cream scoops which was really nice. We also ordered a pizza which was very good. Music was pretty family friendly and employees were kind. We went on a Tuesday during the day. The price was on the higher end of average but everything was in great condition. Nothing there seemed worn or broken. All the arcade games were in working order and the floor was well taken care of. Someone cares about this place. Also, the employees weren't lazy at all. They were all very friendly and worked hard which was so nice to see. My kids rented their skates which happened to be very nice. The skates we got were in good condition. We have been to other rinks where the skates were practically unusable so they were very happy with their skating experience. I would recommend this business. It's nice to find a business that seems well run now a days. By the way, the ice cream they sell is very good. read more

Super clean facility! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful which goes a long way these days! We came for 1/2 price Wednesday (June 2024) and the prices were reasonable. We did the arcade and playground. The playground was much smaller than I anticipated. My kids spent about 15 minutes going down the slide and wanted to move on to the arcade. The playground was barely worth the half price, I wouldn't recommend if it was the regular rate. The arcade was pretty good. All of the games were working and since it was half price Wednesday most were .50 or 1.00 credit. My 7 year old had a great time playing Skeeball. There wasn't many games my three year old could do but there was a "play until you win" duck game that she won a duck from and was thrilled enough. They had some fun prizes for the kids at low ticket cost. The facility is very open so it is easy to keep an eye on your kiddos. The skating rink was large and looked fun. The music wasn't too over powering and the DJ was playing some great music and had an upbeat personality. Overall we spent $45 for an hour in Fort Sk8. The kids enjoyed and we would recommend it to others. read more

This is a fun place for families. The skating rink is average size and the songs they play are old school which makes it better! There's an arcade and food and they throw birthday parties as well. The only thing I didn't like were the older kids going really fast dodging the smaller kids. I've seen kids get knocked down and no one says anything so just be careful. It's a fun place for kids with neon lights and great music!I'll definitely come back. read more

I do not recommend this roller rink if you are a career skater. If you are a casual skater whom doesn't own their own skates sure. But as someone who's skated for 14 years I do not recommend this rink. I have never been to a rink less friendly to skaters who actually skate and are returning customers. The rink is perfect if you just have a kids birthday party it's basically a arcade. But everytime I go to this rink the rules get worse and the prices rise. Sorry as an experienced skater who's worked at a roller rink and skated for so many years and is a good skater who owns 3 pairs of skates you should go if you want but I cannot recommend it anymore. read more

These negative reviews are ridiculous... This place is good clean fun! Prices are perfectly reasonable. The rink is smooth solid concrete (which is the best surface to skate on). They have food and drinks and places to chill and rest. It's a great place to have some fun and get some good exercise in at the same time. A good place to meet new people and hang with friends. They have different events throughout the month. Such as adult skating, skating lessons etc. Good staff and a good group of friendly happy customers. I do wish the rental skates were better so new skaters could realize just how much fun skating on a decent pair of skates can be. But they're no worse than any other rinks rentals. This is just a universal complaint I have for all rinks. So I won't knock Fort Sk8 for it. Also I wish they stayed open maybe an hour later on Saturday's. But I think COVID was the reason behind that. Maybe that will change in the future. Glad you guys are here because I LOVE indoor roller skating and without y'all I wouldn't be able to do it very often. Not without a long drive out of town. New skaters or advanced. Young or old. I understand $12 if your skating, completely reasonable, however $9 to sit and be there if my kid needs me is a bit much. If memory serves it was less a few years ago when I first came in. They also removed the water fountains so heaven forbid your kid is playing hard and gets thirsty, but hey you can buy some over priced water but remover cash only because welcome to 2003. Be ready to listen to about 8 teenagers scream and don't expect them to leave out profanity and also don't expect the staff to ask them to settle down a bit. Not yell at them or anything just asking from a position of authority. Something else different is the lockers that are now $10 upfront and spin returning the key you get $5 back. Over all staff was fine not rude but generally give off an "I'd rather be anywhere else" expression and vibe but like same so I get it. TLDR: too much for what it's worth skip out on skating and spend actual time with your kids because I will be. read more

Haven't been skating in a while... and I could not believe the fast improvements that were made... they have a new private party room... new lights...c tt new skate rental area... takes me back to when we were kids .. when roller skating rinks were actually cool.. in the Fort Walton Beach skate rink they have brought that back.. great job ! The new arcade games... even 3 skeet ball machines ! And the hoops fever games.. they have a new selection of skates... I think I'm due to buy a new pair soon.. staff was awesome..e they look great with all matching t-shirts.... and Heather at the door it was super nice and polite.. great job guys we will be back... I can't wait to rent out the whole skating rink for my own private party... awsome! read more

Amazing place to skate for families! The staff was super friendly. They did a great job at greeting me as I walked in, helping me get skates, and even helping me up when I fell. The Cafe was phenomenal! It had everything from pizzas, pretzels, chicken, and so much more, all for a great price! They even have a jump zone for children that's including in the admission. Overall, an amazing experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly skate center! read more

I went to SK8 for a fun skating day with my cousins. There is a bouncy house there and my cousin and I were interested in bouncing. The sign said that we had to be 5'4 and under to bounce so we asked this lady how much the socks were to jump. She denied getting us socks by telling us we are too old to jump. We went to ask other employees what the restrictions were. 2 other employees told us that you had to be 5'4 and under while the lady, Gloria, told us that we had to be 10 and under. Believing the sign and what two other employees had told us, we felt that we deserved to jump after Gloria had been super rude without realizing it. We had a horrible experience and hope to have better customer service in the future. read more
