So, if you have ever had your water turned off by the city during a heat wave without being notified, you may understand my urgency to find a qualified professional to repair a leak in the main line of our irrigation system. I am the HOA president for a small 15 unit townhome property. We manage our own emergencies. A neighbor complained about excessive water runoff to the neighborhood adjacent our property. It took me several weeks and our front lawn getting crispy from the sun before I realized the city had turned off our water service because of the runoff. At this point, I was getting desperate. GREAT experience with David and his team! Reached out to fix several items related to landscaping at one of the properties under our management. I did obtain several quotes from serveral companies. David's wasn't the cheapest but was middle of the bunch, but due to his fast response and good reviews. We decided to go with his company. He made a first trip out to check out the problems, and then provided a free estimate. After his estimate was approved by the owners, we were able to schedule the work within 2 weeks. His crew showed up on time the day of the work and worked quickly and efficiently. Very professional and you can tell they knew what they were doing. They replaced several valves as well as the old out of date timer for the sprinkler system. In addition, they removed an old wood deck, which was in the way, and installed 2 French drains in the backyard to divert the water flow that were causing problems due to grading issues. My yard had 13 beautiful birds of paradise plants, each 4-5' high and a decade old with huge root systems. I adopted a puppy last week and she apparently loves to chew on the starchy stems and pretty flowers - I discovered to my horror that birds of paradise are toxic for dogs! I reached out to Bonico Landscapes and several other gardening services in a hurry, trying to see who could come out to remove the plants (a big job) and to do so ASAP. Not only did D.J. of Bonico offer a reasonable estimate, he was able to get his associate Pablo out the very next day to bid the job (the price was still reasonable) and get started. I contacted Bonico to get a quote for gardening services. He was going to come Friday and no showed when I told him no one came he said there was a misunderstanding so he will send someone Monday if I was still interested. I agreed to get a quote. We gave him a try and decided we were unhappy with the quality of work. We then contacted him thru text to let him know we will pay for his services completed but we did not want to continue. He texted us back confused and said he did not service our house and did not know what we were talking about. The following week the guy who did the work came back. So turns out this business sent another guy in lieu of himself. It was really unprofessional... and unclear... this guy that did our work was not clear on how much we owed him as his English was now good and while I was trying to communicate and figure out the amount he wanted he got frustrated and pulled out his shovel and threatened to ruin the sprinkler pipe he just fixed. It was really scary and i also was holding my baby in my arms. I would avoid them at all cost. read more

Initial cleanup was great so we hired them for the bi-monthly maintenance. Downhill from there. Second time, they were about 6 hours late. Zero calls or communication and only told me they were coming because I called. They made an excuse saying their truck broke down. It happens and I get it, but at least let me know? Third time was a complete no show. I gave them two days to give me an update and nothing so I had to message them to cancel my services with them. Horrible communication, flaky, and not professional. Can't say enough great things about David, Pablo & Ana. David's communication is fantastic, quick responses, and just an overall really friendly guy. We had a good amount of work to be done in our yards (chopping down a few trees, trimming some tree tops from power lines, clearing pathways of bushes, overall trimming/mowing/cleaning). So thought everything was great. They showed up. A little late but they showed up. I had sent pics of my backyard it was over grown with weeds. They changed their price from $90 to $250. I said no I'll clear it myself, just do the front yard. Then they charged me $30 to cut my front yard only. It was supposed to be $30 for the front and back. They quoted $60 a month every 2 weeks. They no showed no called last week. Then we I messaged them for status. They said they would get back to me and then never responded again. So now I feel like they took money from me at this point.
