He then got started the next morning. It took Gilberto and his team about five hours to give the front and back yards a complete overhaul. There were SO many weeds that needed to be pulled, random flower boxes filled with dirt and trash, trees and bushes that needed trimming and pruning, and overgrown grass in the yards. They did fantastic work and all the landscaping has made the house look new again! We're looking forward to continuing to work with Gilberto and his team for weekly maintenance.

To be honest, it really restored my faith in landscaping contractors. I submitted an online request for a quote and the next day Mike emailed me requesting pictures of what our project wanted to include. Originally we just wanted to pull out our front yard plants and redo just the front but there is a $5000 project minimum. After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. The turnaround time for everything was just amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Our lot is about 3615 sq ft to give a reference point. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. Invoices are sent every week on a reasonable schedule and I just loved our experience. I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone wanting to do their hardscape landscaping in a heartbeat!

My yard was overgrown and a mess. The sod from 2000 was done and full of weeds. The planting areas were in terrible shape. Fern and I talked and together we put together an idea of a combination of sod and DG. I mentioned to him that I always ask for more than discussed and to make sure he added the additional expense. They showed up on time every day at 6:30am and worked nonstop until dusk. They removed two big truck loads of dirt, old sod, weeds, roots and old plants by loading the truck using wheelbarrows. They put in new drip irrigation, new sprinkler lines and valves and repaired my outdoor electrical outlets. They built three paver borders and used cement to make a paver border fence I built by stacking blocks permanent. He cleaned out a raised planter not in the quote, fixed the drip lines and mulched and used my old fountain to build a bird feeder space in the planter. The quote was very fair and the addition price for the added work was very fair also. I will definitely be using him again for my next project. He also installed new ceramic tiles with my address on the front of the house and cleaned out part of my gutters and fixed the leaks to keep them from dripping on the DG. Once I proceeded with Fern, his team came out as scheduled and worked diligently. The entrance to my backyard is very narrow, making the use of any wheelbarrows or dollies not an option. Fern and his team carried heavy retaining wall blocks one by one into the backyard as well as gravel by the bucket without any complaints. I feel they even worked longer hours each day to try and get the job done in a timely manner. They did an amazing job and did exactly what I was requesting for. He also created documents to submit to our HOA for approval, and he was able to make changes quickly when needed. Victor and the crew were on time, efficient, and timely with the work. It was greatly appreciated that everything was washed down and cleaned by the crew at the end of each day. They were also able to make quick adjustments when our neighbor had some concerns with the hedges we wanted to plant. The scope of the work included adding a concrete pad, extending our concrete patio, planting privacy hedges with drainage and auto watering system, installing artificial grass with paver walkways, and adding pebbles along the exterior wall of our house. Since we have a soft watering system, we also had them install a separate line from the main. Overall, Caliscapes OC was professional, friendly, and accommodating. We even had one of the hedge plants not doing well. We reached out to Caliscapes OC to advise us on how to revive it, and they said they would replace it. It was early September when I first contacted Mike, owner of Landscape Pro Services. He explained…read morethat he was quite busy and his irrigation specialist would be unable to do my drip irrigation job for at least a couple months. But Mike's business reviews, starting some 6 years earlier, were impressive. Almost all positive, those reviews convinced me to not be discouraged. I let him know I would gladly wait. Besides, I had already met with another "highly rated" Yelp contractor and was feeling rather discouraged. That guy had given me an extremely high bid. His subsequent communications and extreme bartering impressed me to be odd, bordering on unethical and untrustworthy. I knew I had to keep looking. In spite of his schedule, Mike graciously consented to come out see what was going on with my aging drip system the next week. Two weeks later, after I thought he had forgotten me, I received an unsolicited text from Mike with a genuine apology. We met the very next day. It went well. For a full hour, we discussed all my drip system problems. He made many recommendations, but his ideas were realistic and practical. He assured me that, instead of re-doing the entire system, he could take the existing drip lines and repair, replace, and improve, as needed. This meant a significant savings to me, and most importantly, much happier plants. His price quote was far more affordable. Meanwhile, while taking a look around, he noticed that my controller (timer) was misprogrammed. He asked my permission to reset everything so it would be running more efficiently, then took the time to explain everything he did. (I was ecstatic, me being the boob who had naively messed it up in the first place.) He shared some valuable tips on plant care as well. Little things like this convinced me I would be in good hands. December 2025. It was a wait, for sure, but we finally found a day to proceed on this 1-day project. He sent his irrigation specialist, Lazaro, out to my house and Lazaro was a god-send. Very reliable. Very ethical. Very hard-working and agreeable. What a great guy to have on your team. Lazaro completed everything in one day. I decided to add to the scope of work, adding a new controller unit at the same time. Lazaro ran out, bought the piece, installed it, and gave me hands-on training before leaving. And what do you know? The final bill still came to about one 3rd of the other guy's final quote. Could not be happier. An excellent experience in every sense of the word.

From the level of service, to the quality of work on our backyard, to the unmatched turnaround time and value, Mike delivers on all levels. If I could give him more stars than 5, I would. I gave him a general idea of what we were looking for and he truly exceeded all expectations with it. We have a fairly small backyard that if treated a certain way, wouldn't feel spacious. Somehow, our backyard now feels more open and bigger than it actually is and all with a modern touch. Throughout the span of the project, Mike kept a simple communication line going and was always so honest. So much so, that he gave us money back because we somehow accidentally paid more than we should've. Steve and his crew are regular people that treat others with kindness and respect not because they have to, but because that's who they are. They fixed a leaky pipe in my backyard without having to pull up my pavers and then they fixed a pipe in my front planter that solved low pressure on my drip lines. No fuss, no extra charges or unnecessary parts and labor. Steve's team obviously have deep knowledge and experience but what makes them so great is that they communicate clearly and are enjoyable to work with. Highly recommend them.

I asked if he can come at 10am, to my surprise, he came 9:30am and began working quietly. He removed the roots carefully, paid close attention to detail, and surprised us by applying weed killer between the pavers and shrubs. Our family was impressed. For the 2nd visit in March 2026, unfortunately the company did not meet the same standard. We communicated via the same number, so they were aware of that we were interested in the same work as before last year (weed removing, trimming of tree shrub) This time, a different employee (H.H.), performed the work. He trimmed the trees and shrubs a bit more quickly than Francisco did, which was not an issue in itself. However, he didn't remove the overgrown roots, but rather just trimmed them, which caused the plants to grow back much faster than before. He also didn't apply any weed killer. After we paid via Zelle, we noticed that our 24-hr security sign had been snapped in half and left on the same spot it was planted. No shrubs were around that area. The employee didn't mention to us at all, but when we asked him what happened, he initially said he didn't know. Only after we saw pictures showing that the sign was intact, he apologized. Additionally, another blue security sign next to our AT&T fiber box was missing. The sign had been in place for months and was clearly visible from the driveway since the shrubs didn't fully cover it. The worker claimed he never saw it. We understand accidents can happen, but the lack of communication and transparency is unfortunate. We are likely moving on to another company.

We recently installed artificial turf to replace old grass lawn in the front yard and the open area in the back yard. We are glad to have chosen Coastal Greenscapes as our contractor. The proposal submitted by Coastal was very fair and open with all tasks described in details in terms of dimensions, quantities, materials, processes and prices. Phil, the sales rep was very straight forward, thorough and flexible in providing practical options and design alternatives. We felt Coastal is a right sized company to deal with. We like the facts that our requests, however small, were well coordinated and followed through among sales staff, office dispatcher and onsite installers, and its installation teams are well equipped, adequately supplied and well trained. As a result, the entire project was carried out with good teamwork, high efficiency and quality performance. Although my wife and I didn't have the chance to meet or speak to the company owner, Peter in person, we were very impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm his team members demonstrated throughout the project duration. They are courteous upon arrival, very accommodating to our minor requests for adjustments, and very hardworking to get the job done. After the project completion we discovered minor water leakage from the abended sprinkler system buried along the paver edge of new turf. Coastal dispatched a small team in 48 hours, located the broken sprinkler head that was capped by other gardener prior to this project, then quickly fixed the leak for us. This was the best decision I ever made. My lawn looks amazing! I own a condo and have a very small patch of grass on my patio. It kept dying from heat and sun exposure as well as the constant use from my dog "doing her business". I had to re-sod several times and it never lasted more than 6 months. I started researching synthetic grass but wasn't sure it was the right choice for my situation. I didn't think a company would take on such a small project nor was I sure it would Pet Friendly. I had heard that the smells would linger.... and didn't want to take a chance. Then I came across Coastal Greenscapes!!! Peter came to my house with samples and his extensive knowledge on the various grasses. We discussed the options and extra safeguards we could put in place to make sure the odors would be all but non-existent and how happy and safe my dog would be...he completely put my mind at ease. After years of waiting for artificial turf to start to look more realistic I finally decided it was time to address a problem area in my backyard. I am so happy I discovered coastal Greenscape in Anaheim. First, they have an outdoor showroom with many different variations of artificial turf and pavers. It's fantastic and makes it easy to compare the different products side by side in daylight. I went on a Saturday and was working making my choices with the extremely helpful Phil when the gregarious owner came in. I liked both of them and decided to give them my business. Phil came to my house and we developed a plan to install turf, a paver pathway a couple of planters an arbor and picket fence and a drip system.They are a one stop shop. I can't stress enough how helpful Phil the manager was. Contractors in my experience are always a mixed bag , these guys were extremely good. They use their own crew and the crew was great. They were at my home for a week. I made a couple of changes mid project and they handled it with ease. I'm 66 years old, been a homeowner for over 40 years and have never been happier with a contractor. It starts at the top and the owner was great , he even showed up on the job site to check how things were going. If you are thinking about turf I would strongly suggest you go to their showroom, meet them and see what they have. read more

After Interviewing two other companies I decided to call Coastal Greenscapes for a third quote after getting the number from my cousin - in - law who heard about them from a co-worker. Peter the owner answered and came right away to see my back yard. He gave me a quote right away with individual break down for each thing I wanted to change. He then went home and emailed me a well written out quote. He was by far the most cost effective and was very professional. He appeared honest to me and I decided to go ahead and have him do the job. He said it would take him four days and true to his word they got my back yard done within four days. He also noticed that my patio covering was dry rotting and called in someone he recommends all the time to give me a quote. We decided that it was time to change the patio covering and the guy Peter recommended did a great job and again was cost effective. Peter and his staff are very professional and are there to make sure they do what you want and need them to do. They made an amazing transformation to my backyard. I love the artificial grass and my kids are so happy to be able to use the back yard again. I would recommend Peter and his company to anybody in a heart beat! A friend was very pleased with a major artificial turf project Coastal did for them, so we visited the company's site in Anaheim. Laid out in a row are large samples of turf, 6 - 8 types ranging in color, height, and thickness. A friendly salesperson answered all our questions about drainage, site prep, warranties, drip irrigation, etc. There are a lot of factors to consider, not all of them obvious, so I recommend you study your project and be prepared with all your questions. It is not necessary to visit Coastal Greenscapes in person since someone comes to you with samples. Peter came to our house and was very thorough in discussing all aspects of the job. Neither he nor the salesperson pushed us toward the more expensive options. Their crew started the next week and finished our 450 square foot project in a single day with about 9 workers. Everyone we spoke with was polite and knowledgeable. When they finished the installation, they did a spectacular job of clean-up. Our front yard is absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier. We had the pleasure of working with Mat Golla and the Coastal Greenscapes team and we could not be happier. Together they completed artificial turf to the front and backyard as well as planting succulents and other drought tolerant options in the planters with both irrigation and lighting. A lot of work which they completed within the contract time of 5 days and they did a beautiful job! This team was a dream to work with from our initial meeting to contracting, sketches and the final product. We checked several artificial turf companies and decided to concentrate on three. We talked to company number one a couple of times on the phone, but then they stopped returning our calls. Company number two sent a rep who was very helpful. However, they had a minimum charge, and it was way too high for the small amount of work we needed. Peter from Coastal Greenscapes came to our place and answered all of our questions. We emailed and called him with a few follow-up questions, and he responded promptly. His quote for the work was reasonable, so we asked Coastal Greenscapes to do the job. A total of five installers worked on our tiny backyard project. Every one of them was helpful and friendly. They all spoke English and were glad to answer our questions or concerns. They did great work. I couldn't have found a better team to install Synthetic Grass in our back yard. We are new home owners and didn't know exactly what was best for our backyard. Peter came out and helped us decide and gave us our estimate in just a couple minutes. He was quick and to the point. Since they were the first business we got an estimate from, we looked around and NO ONE could beat their price. The team came out on time and were very professional. Coastal Greenscape, owned by Peter Hofsaess, installed Artificial Turf in my front and back yards at my home in Yorba Linda. He has been checked out by several homeowners and found to be a highly rated business man. The twelve plus workers he brought to the job were outstanding, courteous men that worked beautifully together, finished the work in one twelve hour day, Peter, the landscape owner, saw to it that person did his job as directed by their supervisor. The finished product was a very beautiful lawn that several thought was real grass. When a small problem occurred it, it was quickly taken care of at no cost. Coastal Greenscapes installed synthetic grass at my sister's home in OC. Job turned out great. Our home is 60 miles from there but we still hoped CG would be willing to do the same job for us at a competitive price. And they did! Being so far from their home base, we had to work together to schedule our project but Phil was a pleasure to work with in that regard. We had a few extra 'needs' that he was able to help us with too at a reasonable cost. When the CGs crew arrived on the day of the install, they were consummate pros. I was thinking of a good phrase to describe my experience with Coastal Greenscapes, and the only suitable thing I can come up with is "Excellence on every level". Their prices are better than anyone else I looked at, and their product selection is substantial. Their crew worked extremely hard and more important, they worked as a team. They actually installed my artificial turf in a single day...more like 3/4 of a day. My wife and I are unanimous that this is the best contractor of any kind we have ever worked with. I am a designer and work with contractors on a daily basis. That makes me tough on my expectations and timeline for a project. Coastal Greenscapes came through with flying colors and then some! Mat led the whole process and was efficient, timely, responsive, and thorough! He gave me cost efficient options and information from beginning to end with wonderful follow ups, to make sure I was happy. Our experience with Coastal Greenscapes couldn't have been better. Peter and his amazing crew showed up on time and cleaned up everyday. They were professional, neat and a very courteous team. They were pleasant to have around. They really go the extra mile especially when we doubled the size of our job on day two. We chose to add a putting green with the illuminated golf cups and couldn't be happier with the outcome. The backyard, putting green and turtle pen area is absolutely perfect! Peter is an awesome guy. Very professional and efficient. I asked him for a quote and that week he stopped by and measured everything, the price was given to me right on the spot. Then my wife asked him to measure another part of the yard. Again price was given immediately! The price was lower than any other bid, efficient, no hidden costs, and included everything! The following week Peter's crew showed up, and in 3 days they knocked out 550 square feet of cobble stone, and 250 square feet of beautiful synthetic grass! We talked to a few different companies and we had some who came out and others who never returned out call. Peter was a pro. He came out, showed us all of our options and I highly recommend letting him give you some ideas. He has a great eye for detail and his suggestions really put our yard over the top. We love our new synthetic grass! Peter was wonderful to work with... he was super easy going and came to our house to give us a quote the day I called him. His price was very competitive and the samples he brought to us were great quality. My wife and I have a new-build that required additional landscaping of our backyard. We eventually decided to go with California Outdoor Living after reading all their positive reviews on yelp. In addition their quote was very competitive if not the best when looking at other contractors. We already had a design in mind for JC which made the process very quick. Although there was some misunderstanding with the design and drains throughout the process, JC was always responsive with his texts and quick to make adjustments. The moment we got our design approved by our HOA, the construction happened VERY FAST. We emailed California Outdoor living on a Wednesday evening of our approval. The very next day (Thursday), JC arrived to go over the outline. I do appreciate how fast things were done, but it was almost to a fault at times. They were ready to go by the next day but my wife and I didn't feel like we had discussed the plan and execution thoroughly enough. On Friday the construction workers were already digging out our backyard. They spoke only Spanish so communication was very difficult to ensure if our plan was executed appropriately. By Saturday all of the pavers were laid out. Construction was incredibly fast but because of that some details were lost in translation. We discussed with JC that we wanted an 11x14 ft paver island. However the final dimensions was 12.5 x 12.5 feet. We also wanted all the walls of our backyard to be lined with turf. However the paver border ran too close to one of the walls, that putting turf did not make sense. They only left 1 inch between the wall and the paver (see attached image). We appreciate how fast the work was done. The overall work was great BUT not exactly what we wanted. We felt rushed with the whole construction process. However everything was done in less than a week which was incredible! In addition, once the turf was laid out JC noted that window reflections from both our neighbors and our own windows would cause damage to the turf. He informed us this can happen sometimes. Going back to rushing things and not being thorough, we wished JC took the time to look at our backyard and factor in this possibility. If we had known the reflections could damage this area we would have changed our turf design. At the end of the day they are just executing our design, but it's these minor things that left us feeling like our backyard could have been better. However we are still very thrilled with the overall speed and communication done throughout the process! Would still recommend this company. But these small critiques are definitely something to keep in mind for future clients.

I would not recommend this company. Their lack of attention to detail made the entire experience…read moreunpleasant. The drainage tube was installed with the slope going the wrong direction, and the walls were not properly covered before the concrete was poured, leaving concrete splatter all over the side walls. The concrete also cracked less than three days after it was poured. It was poured on Monday morning, and on Wednesday the artificial turf guy was using a large plate compactor right next to the two-day-old concrete. I believe the vibration from that equipment contributed to the cracking. When I spoke with JC about the issue, he told me that concrete will crack sooner or later and that is why they do not warranty cracks. Concrete was poured directly on top of the soil, no gravel was brought first. While I understand that concrete can crack over time, I did not expect it to crack before I had even made my final payment. Despite my disappointment, I paid the remaining balance. After that, I never received any follow-up confirmation that the payment was received , or even a simple thank you.

The walls were made from interlocking bricks and not only are they extremely structurally sound, but look fantastic! After going through the process ourselves, I can absolutely see why they spoke so highly of the company. From the beginning, Byron made the design and estimating process feel very clear and professional. One thing I really appreciated was that he used an iPad on-site to draw out the design, calculate measurements, and price everything very accurately. It was not a vague "ballpark estimate" type of process -- it felt transparent, exact, and easy to visualize, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. Byron also helped us finalize the color choices, especially for the walkway, and his suggestions made a big difference in the final look. Roberto, who supervised the on-site construction work, was also excellent.
