Bonito is such a beautiful cafe with ample seating and ambiance. The counter space is small but the baristas make it work. While I was exploring the display items, my drink was ready before I even realized. They have upstairs seating as well as tables on the left side. Definitely make sure to mix your Fresa Matcha if you order it because the matcha is STRONG. There are lids and a water station directly across from the counter so once you order your drink, it's easy to get straws, lids, napkins etc without worrying about clogging up the ordering counter which is really neat!

Service was really slow but there was only like 1 person actually making drinks so that probably makes sense. Steep pricing in comparison to the actual portions unfortunately. Drinks weren't good, we got the lavender jamaica and some coffee drink, neither were good. Honestly I could've went to a different coffee shop and it probably would've tasted much better. Also a very tiny menu, not many flavor options at all. Not a lot of "group" sitting, mostly just a few tables for singles/duos, both upstairs and downstairs. This is definitely more of a "cute and trendy" coffee shop. Decor is simplistic and cute, quality just not great, and I don't usually go places just purely based on vibes unfortunately.

Super delicious coffee with Latin inspired flavors and fresh tasty pastries! This cafe is super vibey and has a chill ambiance. They showcase local artists and sell stuff like prints, handmade goods, and fresh salsas which is cool. The pastries are frequently changing but they're always tasty so it's a nice place to stop by for a quick snack. I like the drinks that have lots of spices because they differentiate this place from other coffee shops. The Que Bonito and Chai Horchata are really good. The Que Bonito has a really nice balance of cinnamon, sweetness, and coffee flavor and nothing is overpowering. The Chai Horchata is a good alternative if you don't want coffee but it doesn't skimp on the flavor either. I really like the conchas here. I feel that usually most conchas are kinda stale and bland, but the conchas here are tender and fluffy, and I love the fillings which add additional moisture and flavor. The other pastries are good as well but so far, the conchas are my favorite.

Where else can you get a horchata chai? This place has a beautiful upstairs space with lots of windows, natural light, and plants. Not a lot of space upstairs but it's so cute just to go sit up there and relax. They have more space to sit downstairs and a small corner shopping area for trinkets, jewelry, cards, and more. The owner is so sweet and asked about my life and how I was doing. They really want to know their customers and radiate kindness. I will support that any day.

I went for the Horchata chai and, unfortunately, they were sold out. BUT the barista recommended a house latte with cafe de olla syrup instead and horchata cold foam, and it was a delicious sub. The stuff for sale was so cute too and the photobooth is a must, of course. Fun little cafe to try, would recommend!

Absolutely amazing! My family and I traveled from Miami and the owners were so kind! They even gave us the ability to take as many pictures in the Photo Booth! The coffee is perfect! Smooth and tasty! The vibes are definitely there and you can sense the love! Defiantly planning on coming back and recommending! (Get the pupusas across the street)

Bonito is one of my favorite spots to pop up in Capitol Hill in the last few years. Its vibe and curation stands apart as a Hispanic coffee shop here in Seattle. I've enjoyed each drink I've dried off their menu from the cold brew to the Que Bonito, and the pan dulce offerings are also great to see. If anything I'd love to see them expand the selection even more with some marranitos or buñuelos. The staff is always kind, the space always has something going on with visiting vendors, and it's a joy having this representation and community space in the neighborhood.

Amazing cafe. The atmosphere here is on point. Super bright and welcoming. We enjoyed the beautiful black and white Photo Booth and also purchasing a cute sticker to support local artists. This place gets busy! We found a seat and within two minutes more and more people filled the seats and surrounded us. Seems a lot of people on laptops come to work. The cafe is so beautiful. I appreciate they do for here glass ware which is better for the earth. After you're done with drink and food they do have areas to return your dirty dishes before leaving upstairs and downstairs near the condiment bar. I ordered the popular Horchata Chai Frio y mi novio ordered the Fresa Matcha. I suggest he stir his drink but he refused. Once he got to the matcha part he described the flavor as bitter. If you're new to matcha or don't have it often I suggest stirring this drink to thoroughly enjoy it. I am a matcha lover but love horchata so had to give the Horchata Chai a try. The drink was very tasty but not extremely memorable being honest. Presentation was great, the Fresa Matcha looked and tasted beautiful. I love el mercadito features local artists. I purchased a cute de la Rosa sticker (one of my favorite childhood candy). You purchase at the front from scanning barcodes so that purchase being made is going directly to the artist. I also love this cafe has an awesome photo booth and yes I had a whole photo shoot by myself and then with my man. High quality photos! The Photo Booth is located on the bottom floor in the cafe seating area. Appreciate they have a mirror on the outside of the booth. I would highly recommend and would return as this is a great business to support. Also they play great music! Once Kali Uchis started playing on the speakers I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. We had a great experience :)

Bonito Cafe invites anyone and everyone to celebrate Hispanic culture through the well-curated lens of drinks, baked goods, snacks, and a plethora of interesting merch from Latino artists. The place is a bit bigger than expected as it has an entire second attached area for seating as well as an upstairs that seems to be sectioned off for private use. A few tables, a couple standing bars, a long seat, if you can snag a spot this place is cozy and in a great spot to lounge up for awhile for work/study. I got a wide spread of goods to get the lay of the land and I'll give reviews on individual items below. The lady working there was soooo sweet, friendly, and fun. Mad kudos to her. In terms of merch there was awesome looking handmade mugs, little decorative art pieces, tshirts, all kinds of things honestly. As for what I thought of everything I tried: Jamaica 3.5/5 - It scratches the itch but for me personally it needed more sweetness + tartness as it was a little light. Horchata Chai 4/5 - Creamy and smooth texture which I love, sometimes horchata is too thick or even a bit grainy/chunky from the rice. Again a little light on the flavor but in a way that's refreshing too. Maybe a touch too sweet? Arepas - This was in the refrigerated section and might have been made by a 3rd party. I didn't see any instructions on it but it was like corn masa based with cheese inside and came with a mustard mayo dip. I feel like it could have been really good but needed to be heated up properly and microwaving it was definitely not the way to go as it ruined the texture of the corn part. Maybe it needed to be steamed now that I think about it. Won't rate since user error maybe. Strawberry cream cheese cake 4.5/5 - Delish! Passionfruit Papaya Concha (Filled) 4/5 - Looked rough as the topping was falling off but surprisingly soft and well-flavored, nice and cinnamony. Filling was tasty too. Rojas Al Pastor Burrito 4/5 - Such a good burrito and vegan too! Rojas is awesome and located in Pioneer Square. I heated it up in microwave at 70% power for 2 mins then grilled on a pan since it comes super soft and wet and I wanted that texture. Definitely glad this place is around and will certainly come back for more!

Espresso tonica and passion fruit concha

Love love love 10/10! First off, Latino-owned, so I love to support. The drinks were very creative and there was an espresso tonic so of course I got that. It was fantastic. My friend got the cafe de olla drip and that was great too (coming from a drip-hater lol). The passion fruit concha was soft with well balanced flavors. Also, they don't use lard in their conchas so it's Muslim friendly! Ambiance was too cool, I can tell why this is a popular spot. Unfortunately, the photo booth was out of order when we visited but that is a BIG plus in my book. Hope it's working the next time I visit! Service was efficient and baristas were well informed.

BONITO BONITO BONITO!!! this is easily my favorite coffee shop in seattle. not only did the owners take their time to tell us their story and remember us when we came back the next day, they went above and beyond to make us feel seen and safe here. this space is an absolute gem in cap hill and i will always swing by to support every time i am in seattle. thank you for doing the damn thing and sharing the beauty in latino queer culture.

    Café de Olla, Horchata Chai
    Maria A.

I've been wanting to try this place since I saw it on Instagram! First of all the aesthetic is on point. It's more on the quiet side too. They also have a photo booth ($9 for two photos). We came at 10 am on a Saturday and service was speedy. The coffee was solid although the horchata was a bit on the pricey side. The gansito cake was delicious. It reminded me of an elevated ganisto. I would come back with a smaller group as the seating fills up quick.

The drinks are cool with inspiration/fusion of Hispanic culture. Love how it makes the drinks unique. I got the fresa matcha latte and I would rate it a 4/5. It was nice but it would be nicer if they had chunks of real strawberry. The interior is cute with a little bit limited seating. The Photo Booth is a cool concept, however it's quite expensive. Service was amazing and the worker was very nice!

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

The soup was really amazing. I don't often like tomato soup but this was the exception. Chunks of tomato and a full flavor without a lot of spices. The crème brûlée was warmed and freshly caramelized on top. This is not made in advance and just refrigerated which seems to be more common these days. The hot chocolate hit the spot!
