Finally got to try the popular Blueberry Matcha that I've heard so much about. I hear mixed opinions about it, usually either it being pretty good, or just very mediocre. Nice spot for a good coffee. I tried their spring special blackberry caramel latte it was tasty, but definitely on the sweeter side, so not ideal if you prefer less sweet coffee. The place has a great vibe and ambiance, but the seating isn't very comfortable. There's very limited space, and the chairs/bar stools aren't great for sitting long. Anchorhead Coffee is a great shop to stop by for a coffee fix. I stopped by on a weekday morning around 9 am and there a long line. Thankfully, it moved pretty fast so we were out within 25 minutes. My husband and I ordered the cold brew and the seasonal hey ube latte. The cold brew was my absolute fave of the two since it was creamy and unique. The ube latte was a solid drink, but I couldn't taste much of the ube essence. There's multiple tables inside to sit. The employees are also friendly and helpful. Prices here are a bit steep, but drinks are high quality. read more

While visiting Seattle, I drank a lot of coffee. This was hands down the best espresso I had in the city. This place is busy! There was a line both times I came in here on the same day. One visit was earlier in the morning, and the place was packed. The line was nearly out the door. The second time was later in the morning; the pastries were wiped out, and the place was still decently full of coffee drinkers. I ended up visiting the second time because of their very cool merch selection, and I regretted not buying a shirt I liked the first time. I only tried the espresso here, though they had many other tasty-sounding drinks and delicious-looking pastries. The espresso was not bitter, well-balanced, and at a great temperature. Super conveniently located if you're staying near the convention center. This is one block away from the Hyatt Regency on Howell. If you don't know it's there you'd likely walk right by it. It's super cute inside but not very big. The staff was genuinely nice and super helpful with recommending a drink. I can't remember what I got but it had blackberry syrup in it and it was so good. Been wanting to try the blueberry matcha here for soooo long. My friends and I came around 12PM on Saturday. It was busy but not super difficult to find seating. I brought my book and they brought their laptops to get some work done. The music isn't too loud, so it is easy to focus. The blueberry matcha was good, but the matcha flavor wasn't very strong. It is more of a blueberry drink, which isn't bad, but if you are a matcha lover, then you probably want something a bit stronger. My friends got the Stroop latte which they really liked. It's sweet, so if you like less sugary flavors then try something else. There aren't many outlets here, so if you need a charger then get here early to get one of the outlets or come with a full battery. My best friend got their Latte with Burnt Honey. Drinks come in different sizes depending on if it's hot or iced. Cups are cute and small. The blueberry matcha was superb! Heavy on the blueberry yet sweet and light. A refreshing drink. My friend said her drink was strong but she didn't taste a burnt honey flavor. Anchorhead Coffee has a few locations in Seattle. I visited Anchorhead with friends on a work trip for a little afternoon pick me up. This is a trendy spot and the interior is a little dark, but there are big windows. In addition to coffee and pastries they had really cool merchandise (pins, shirts, stickers). There is interior seating but I imagine it can be crowded at peak times. My coworker ordered a blueberry matcha and holy moley it was sooo tasty! Perfect combination of milk, Matcha and blueberry flavor without being overly sweet. My other friend ordered a mocha and it was like on unsweetened cup of hot coca - so good! I tried a honey bunches of cold brew, which tasted like honeycomb cereal milk. It was great but a little too much on the sweet side for me. I'm sure I could order it again with less sugar. Coffee and espresso quality was top tier. Five stars for the coffee, three stars for the food. When I'm visiting Seattle for work, I usually stop by Anchorhead. I like their coffee and seasonal specials and will often get something to-go. I feel like their drinks are not too sweet and the staff are friendly. However, where the store could improve is their bakery offerings. This last time I visited, I got both the berry scone and chocolate chip cookie. Both tasted very dry and slightly stale, which was a major let down. Simple menu - one page , not a lot choices on breakfast food besides bakery (minus one star on it). My friends were staying at a hotel nearby so we decided to get breakfast there. There were a lot of other tourists at the location, but we were able to get an indoor seat right outside the coffeeshop - the coffeeshop is located inside a corporate building, and you can go through the shop to get to the couches and seats in the building. You can also ask the barista for the building bathroom code. The bathroom was clean. The couch area was quieter than the coffeeshop so we were able to catch up comfortably. The security person didn't seem to mind that we were there, fortunately. I had the mozzarella pesto sandwich and the 10 oz caramel PSL. Sandwich was just fine and the drink was pretty good! I'm surprised they only offer 8, 10, or 16 oz because I was feeling 12 oz at the time. read more

It goes without saying that this is place is one of the best coffee/matcha places in Seattle, I go to A TON of cafes which serve all kinds of special takes on drinks and I have found myself returning to Anchorhead the most of all of them. Why? Their blueberry matcha is just so freakin good!!! Definitely get this drink iced with extra blueberry syrup if you go (That's the insider secret). I don't know how they make their blueberry syrup but it is to die for. My only complaint is I feel charging almost $1 extra just for an extra pump of syrup is a little... idk it's a little offputting for me? Like did you reallyyyyy need to scalp an extra dollar out of me just bc I like your syrup? Did it cost that much for you to make? Are you that short on money? Fun stop along my Seattle food tour. Mainly came here to try different flavored coffees. A few caught my eye, but due to the cold weather I went for the blackberry caramel latte. Love that there were three sizes to choose from. The blackberry flavor definitely was present stronger than the caramel.
